  • Are the orange locomotives ES44s or D9s?

  • I can't believe that I sat here counting cars (174)! Nice video! I love how the train started slowly and really picked up speed. I must get to Commerce, CA some day! Thanks for posting!

  • that would have been awesome if itwas a power move

  • See, now you're a pro at video! So, I Subscribed to you! I like quality, and you've got it!

  • awesome video and verry long train

  • K so for anyone that cares, I asked my boyfriend an Loco Engineer, and he said the biggest train he ever ran was 150 cars, 8256 ft, 20,000 tons (coal train). So for anyone that wants to do the math, this one is 174 cars.

  • Comment removed

  • @aneal138 ~1.8 miles long, taking into account 3 engines.

  • @aneal138 But this train is not coal, it's just lightweight stuff, so he said the whole train may weigh as little as 4,000 tons.

  • Holy cow.

  • seems like this train was missing one thing a yard office

  • wow cuanto peso habra en esos vagones?

  • tha fuck!

  • Talk about a lucky catch.

  • sir which camera did u use to shoot this vid :)

  • hello im from england uk got to say im a big fan of the bnsf

  • @mick2345vid I'm a Supt. on the BNSF and I am a big fan of passenger operations in the UK. especially beer in the first class cars.

  • WOW what a monster. Love big lashups like that. 4 pulling and 2 pushing. I LOVE the BN painted locomotives sitting in the background. I miss the BN green.

  • i counted 176 cars beween the engines. if its includes engines than 182

  • Whoever disliked this must be jealous of you awesome catch! We never get those kind of lengthy freight trains where I am! Cool! :D

  • Damn what a train!

  • love this

  • @Natedog5201

    Thanks!

  • Wow, that was a long one. love you KCS thrown in there. NON rail fans would hate to wait for that one to pass at a crossing..

  • Counted 174 double stack cars with a total of 6 units... damn! Great video!

  • Great video

  • six engines for 174 carriages that is nice

  • Al thing is big in America. But I am very fascinated of their big trains! : )

  • Hauling ass in american style. :P

  • very, very nice. its there always alot of extra power sitting there? is that a commuter rail station? love the vid. looks like a good place to film, shoot, watch. no rail police or transportation police bugging you?

  • @lector2005

Yeah, it's Metrolink's Commerce Station. No real security hassles and there's always plenty of power there for intermodals waiting to go east.

  • The only reason for massive trains is so the railroad companies themselves don't have to hire new people. The more they can do away with the better.

  • i love the train from the USA im from the UK

  • i counted about 360 containers thats half a load of emma maersks cargo capacity very impressive and great quality keep up the good work

  • WOW!

    Amazing train!

    Greetings from Germany!

    Favorite!

  • Those cargo containers were all full of ping pong balls, bubble wrap and raspberry flavored Jello. That's how the were able to pull so many cars at once.

  • I gave up after 24 :D

  • long enuf train?

  • And BNSF did it w/ 6 units.....UP ran a train est. 5 miles long with a total of 10 units....It's nice to know that competition still thrives among the lines.....

  • i counted 174 and 6 power

  • 6 Engines and 171 !! waggons , Holy crows

  • man you cont beat the BNSF

  • these west coast stackers shame what i see everyday workin the yard in st. paul

  • guauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu is big monster guauuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Impressed by your camera-work!

  • maybe i can copy that train on to railworks

  • well if the have goods for 25 tons for each and if they´re 350 containers then its 8750 tons of good. these are dash 9 locs they have for each 4500 HP. if every car has some 12 tons then this should be some 2100 tons. together it is 10850 tons. 4500 HP in 6 locs should be some 26000 HP or 27000HP...this craft can easily move this train...

  • @paganviodio my brain is herting now TO MUCH MATH

  • @paganviodio Each well weighs about 15 tons too.

    Where is this btw, LA?

  • Cool. ¿What the location is?

  • Nice man that was a monster i,m ready to cross out the ones I called monsters in my vids cheers

  • 174 coups, and roughly 348 crates.

  • my god we dont get trains like the bnsf nise trains we get the class 66 in the uk

  • long train, was it loaded? if it was imagine how much the engines struggled up grades!

  • @CATPWRD I know the ATSF is far from flat, but I am just saying compared to the BN Trans-con line, the ATSF one is flat

  • Also - don't want to add that my anti-ATSF comment a minute ago be taken as this is a bad video, this is actually quite nice, thanks!

  • @CATPWRD As we say "Don't stop and you'll make it, or if you want plain english, keep her rolling" and there aren't THAT many grades on the Trans-con, you want grades get off the F***ing ATSF, go on the BN, you'll see grades! :D

  • There is a lot of power in this video!

  • @CATPWRD

The careful calculations and the right amount of HP.

  • I wish I could make a fort out of all those shipping crates. That would be so much fun. If you'd played garry's mod, you'll understand what I mean. Anyway, nice video. That is one long train. Where is this located at? I never seen two pushing trains at the end of a train line, that's new.

  • @train52000

    Commerce, Ca.

  • @lostinthe619 total amount of car's . 173. that's about 2.1 mile's long. america, on the move.

  • @train52000 The two helper engines at the end are not new. LOL, they are used to push the train up the steep mountain passes, in this case; Tehacipi and Cajon Pass. You can't have only engines at the front because you have too much weight at the back which will be straining the train, that's why you need helper engines, to push from behind to keep the train moving!

  • @train52000 its called dpu (distributed power unit)

  • @train52000 they have them ALL the time in wa and holey shit that was the longest freight kine i have ever seen

  • WOW. Super videó. 5*

  • great catch on the KCS unit!

  • After seeing that Long UP train I just had to compare it to this one and counted so you don't have to.

    174 Decks (Cars)

    6 Locomotives.

That's pretty long. The regular long train consists of 90 to 110 cars. this train is nearly double that.

  • なげえええええええええ

  • wow a lot of stopped locomotives...and beautiful train and the sunset!!! 5*

  • Thanks!

  • Amazing!!

  • Thanks!

  • Thats actually a small train for what BNSF is building now. If you are out at night you might be able to see a DP train of three partitions twice as long as that.

  • Cool, thanks for the info.

  • 6 Units, 175 cars, now THAT is impressive!

  • OK, now count the UP one in the response for me too ;)

  • 4 units, 113 cars

  • Thanks lol.

  • Nice vid! I think I'm going to try going there some day.

  • Come on down!

  • Wowzers! It took approximately 4minutes 17seconds for the whole train to pass your camera.

I was left watching this video with my eyes wide open and jaw dropped as low as it could go.

That beats our freight trains without a doubt.

I'm gonna have to visit America at some point...

5*s for this video and added it to my favourites - well deserved!

  • Thank you!

  • what the

  • Exaaaaaaaaaaaactly.

  • Cool - Stacktastic!

  • Thanks!

  • Absolutely Fantastic video. This is just one reason why I like watching US train vids...as the reains are so long. Really puts our UK trains to shame but hey your country is about 5 times as big as the UK (or more) so you have enough room to have long trains.

  • Thanks. Stay tuned for more.

  • Very nice! As usual nice work with the camcorder.

When did you catch this monster stack train?

Your going to have to bring me along the next you shoot in that area.

  • Sunday afternoon.

  • Nice catch on that KCS unit!

  • Thanks!

  • nice one bud, good to see that KCS on there too

  • Thanks!

  • Oh My Goodness That train was so long, I think it longer then the trains I have seen.

  • Ha ha, I was just standing there waiting for the end...

  • i think that's the biggest train i ever saw:D like the beginning intro too, lot of Gevos and the BN GP38-2

  • Thanks!

  • wow.awsome

  • Thanks!

  • Cool!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice catch Marshall. Truly a monster train....

  • Thanks!

  • OMG!!!!!

  • LOL! Thanks!

  • thats big! lol

  • Most definitely.
