  • pelham621 i rekon ur right coz aikdo is self defence at its best

but i dnt think it will work in a ring but on the street definetly

  • yeah if aikido really worked for real you would see alot more aikido fighters in UFC

  • @swedishbutcher no you wouldn't. Aikido's effective techniques are designed to devistate the joints, which is illegal in the ufc. That's why you're not seeing real jujutsu in ufc. That rubbish where they wrestle to the floor, isn't pure jujutsu, it's watered down crap. Jujutsu was about striking vital points, and then breaking joints as quickly as possible. Aikido is 90% technique based on joint manipulation and breaking joints, which is banned in the UFC

  • @KurtCobain198666 brasilian jiu jitsu is as real as it gets my friend ive studied both akido and bjj and akido is fucking bullshit

  • @swedishbutcher you misunderstand my definition of 'real'. Does BJJ work on the streets? Yes. Is it jujutsu? No. The founder of BJJ, Helio Gracie, didn't study a form of jujutsu, he studied Judo. When Jigoro Kano developed Judo, he removed all the lethal aspects of jujutsu. If BJJ is derived from judo, it can't be a form of jujustu. Therefore I wasn't debating it's effectivness, just it's name. And I happen to think aikido is an amazing art, it's saved my face on many occasions.

  • @KurtCobain198666 ok its deffinetely not bullshit sry about the harshness!but bjj is not derived from judo. It is a mix of jiu jitsu and aikido tought to him by a japanese martial arts master. He learned he was simply to small to use the teqneqies effectively so he adapted it in a way he could use it. I just dont see anything in all of the aikido exibitions ive seen that would stop a full blown punch coming from a formidable opponent, say a boxer.

  • i WANT TO SEE AIKIDO VS ANOTHER MARTIAL ART FOR REAL.

  • good exercise but thats all this fighting style is good for

  • if aikido is about individual techniques, then it is overly complicated and will not work in the real world against a skilled fighter. But if you are adhering to the correct budo fundamentals like shape, distance, intention and posture, you can attack, defend or just pass the time without even being touched. because when you do aikido based on sword it becomes self judging law.

  • a real aikido fighter...

  • @volikoto well,he's just being offensive, this is not the defence aikido.and it's just another demonstration

  • ..uhmm not the aikido i like. Ki-aikido is what i love : )

  • this man really moves fast ...his stepping is perfect ..that's how steven seagal learned a lot of things that can defend himself ...i love AIKIDO!!! ..no doubt

  • @patryko85 thats what i said too but all these dumb fucks r totaly convinced its real

  • to pull all this off your "oponent" needs to work with you!!(Now tell me what kind of attacker would let you set up all these fancy moves before smashing your head with a baseball bat? lol). If anything It would more likely snap their wrists with you trying to apply all these techniques.,

Sorry guys but aikido is designed to look impressive but its not very effective in real life.

  • @patryko85 oh u stupid ignorant pice of shit u dont know what u are actualy sayng. do something in ur life and be good in it and then go comment about it on youtube. do not comment on vids u know nothing about.

  • @Gokishit Wow i see u lost it a bit there. No need to act like a looser and call me names for no reason. I know enough about aikido to put you in shame so simply fuck off? =] You saying i should be good in something before commenting and u do exact oposite, what does it say about you then, Just coz u have a different opinion doesnt allow u to act like a retard! What i said is true and many aikidokas confirm that to perform these moves in such a speed your oponent needs to work with you. Plonker

  • @patryko85cocksucker i see u are realy tough.

  • @GokiGandalf more than u ever will! your comments are just weak! do everyone a favour n go back to stone age.

  • @patryko85 wow u are dumb right.

  • @GokiGandalf i wont waste my time on such a lowlife! comments like "u are.." dont deserve to be read. What r u like 11?! seriously, if u cant find a good point in your argument then just crawl back under your rock n stay there!

  • Comment removed

  • @patryko85 i have a lot of very strong arguments, but i don't like to bother explaining now about Aikido to someone ignorant like u because i'm too tired of it. so i just joke around with u xD

  • @GokiGandalf - tired? haha right! lets just agree to disagree as I cant see why would I want to keep talking to you either!

  • This has the wronng title it should be (another!) Aikido fraudster! I'd put my mortgage on beating this joker in a 'real' fight ie 1 where the moves and outcomes aren't reheased and one that doesn't depend on me running straight at him with my arm fully extended aimed directly into his hands every time so he can do with me what he wants. Cos let me tell you from experience - and this goes out to anyone wasting time or money learning Aikido. A REAL STREET FIGHT DOESN'T HAPPEN LIKE THIS.

  • This is a aikidoka style it just swayed from the traditional calm to a personalized hyped style we dont know if his mine was calm and the movments were to confuze uke or he just likes to move

and im positve any true martial artist in even sensais would agree u abandon formal style and adapt it to work for u

such as my self while doing a aikido lock i may throw in a karate kick or knee or even wing chun or do the opposite wat ever comes natural which is the true essence to act not react

  • Showy, aerobic, fast, but this is just physical aikido, so call it aikijitsu or Ju jitsu or whatever, but there is no stillness of mind. but it does look good. the ego part of me appreciates it, but my higher senses tell me this is the wrong path.

  • @pelham621 is there such thing as a wrong path in martial arts? i do believe if this is not meant to hurt others in an offensive way like being a bully, i can't call it a wrong path.. what do you think?

"know to defend yourself and live a peaceful life"

    peace to all ^^

  • @tatatz011 Sorry, in retrospect i now feel that "path" was the wrong word because everyone has their own journey.

But i would say this.......aikido is actually samurai sword and it is not defensive. it just looks for a mistake, opening or break of concentration.

at the end of harmony comes total and committed conflict.

  • @pelham621 i won't argue with your beliefs, i respect the knowledge and wisdom passed down unto you.. we may not (or maybe) agree with each other in terms of our own expression in martial arts, but we can walk the good path bearing in mind that these conflicts may one day be resolved in peace and not end in total demise.. peace ^^

  • @pelham621 omg you people smoke alot...

  • if anything i would call this aikijuitsu. theres no "way" about it, its just all flashy technique. and whats with the applauding through the whole thing?

  • @mightyyogurt SanFransiscoKido?

  • More than an Aikido Master, his oponent is an martial arts stupid.....

  • This certainly isn't judo, but you can hardly call it aikido either. It looks real flashy and active but in this "style" uke seems to be actually extremely passive and just waits for the throw. What is real about an attacker who doesn't get to attack. And the hyped, showy and aggressive athmosphere in the dojo does not represent the sense aikido has at all. So I would suggest continuing, because it is fine in itself; but don't call it aikido because it isn't.

  • I could be wrong, but that looked more like Judo.

  • @TheKaamos123 I dunno either dude, I am just now getting into this kind of stuff.

  • @TheKaamos123

no i train aikido judo SUX this is aikido!

  • wow

  • awesome
