@spader49 But money goes further in Barbados. If the average income per capita was $200,000 but everything was 20x more expensive then the standard of living is not as good as US.Also I'm sure Barbados has a higher literacy rate than America.
@mymarkis666 I have never been to Barbados, looks nice though and maybe due to the weather, the hotness of the girls, etc standards are very high, but when it comes to their material standard of living things are good, however they're not in my view as good as they are in the US even when you adjust for PPP (purchasing power parity). The figures I gave took into account how far money went in 2011. Barbados might have a higher literacy rate, but both have over 99% literacy.

Thousands of African kings zealously engaged in it, profited from it, saw no wrong in it, King Gezo sold 9,000 a year. Muslims enslaved more Europeans than all of the blacks brought to the US 13 colonies. Under British rule, the colonies were relatively economically better off than today.

The figures I gave took into account how far money went in 2011. Barbados might have a higher literacy rate, but both have over 99% literacy.
