It's bullshit, only the congress can create money and the check on that power is that it is bound to a commodity, most specifically gold. This wheels came off this system hen they removed the binding in the 70's. The system was undermioned though by government regulation and later the founding of the Fed. Only Constitutional money or free marekt gold money are acceptable.

Looks like independence also means absolute power. Since FED has to be independent, they can just do whatever they want and we should all trust them!!! That's just nonsense. The 3 government branches were setup to monitor each other, to prevent any of them grabbing too much power. Yet we give all the power to the 4th government branch(technically it is privately owned but really tight with government), FED! What is the logic here!
