RG only the idiots actually makes fun of our military,the augusta is an awesome helicopters and yes it saved a lot of soldiers in afghanistan (as an example during the ambush to spanish soldiers in 2007) the avionics is really advanced and now it is being equipped with spike missiles and rafael toplite sight unit.We are not only words lol u can see it also in recent new as the operation conducted by airborne soldiers in afghanistan where they killed 80 insurgents...

@tonygogap I'm a american soldier who has been very greatful for support from Mangusta 2 ship teams on 9 occasions. Sometimes my own commanders would have apaches spreaded too thin in other areas. As a grunt on the ground you really do not care what national insignia is on the side of the aircraft supporting you. You only care that they are professional and can put "steel on target". If you have been there you know what I'm saying. Bravo Italia!

Apache is still a big anti-tank helicopter, not a real combat one. It too big, too noisy, too slow, and yes too expensive for that fat flying cow.

There is no original project of A129 anymore. Turkey bought all licenses to produce and export to 3rd countries. If Brazil buys T129 they will buy from Turkey, because Turkey have the all export rights to all world except Italy and England. Plus, T129 will have more powerful motor and will be more technologically advanced than Italian version. When you buy a new car, would you buy a 10 years old version or new version?

If a country buys the T129 from TAI they will get the turkish version, if they buy the AW129 they will get another version (like Brazil is doing)

And I think you aren't updated about the actual A129 in service in italy and it's upgrades, it has nothing similar to the 10 years ago machines.

If you look to AgustaWestland website you will see there is the AW129 in "products" section...not T129!

What is airframe? it's just metal. It is the mission computer and the motor make a helicopter a better one. We will install T800 Comanche motor and Turkish mission computer to T129. Its all intellectual property rights will be belong to Turkey (TAI and ASELSAN). Therefore it is a Turkish Helicopter now on.
