  • you can yousing normal bomb with TNT like 250 KG or 500Kg

  • ThekillA981 dumbass

  • BP requested the use of OSE II to the US EPA on June 3, 2010 in order to convert the BP Gul;f spill to CO2 and water and to prevent natural resource damages.

  • This is the most stupidest thing ever

If u sent a nuke over a major oil leak like in the gulf

U would wipe out about 10,000 animals and injure about 25,000 animals due to radiation and explosive debris

  • @ThekillA981

wow, someone didnt relies they put it underground...

  • We need to fix this as soon as posable.

    Ok nuke it!

  • Long live nukes

  • This is the old school way of dealing with such leaks. Now we discovered and keep discovering new facts on the dangers of nuclear energy and it's impact never thought of before. Nuclear weapons are only useful to blow up/change course of asteroids, comets to evade a doomsday scenario in my opinion. It's a very destructive force with more negative than positive outcomes.

  • How do we solve all the problems in the world?

    Nukes. Lots of them

  • The narrator sounds like Ren....from Ren & Stimpy

  • Im lovin it! Smart move..

  • The Narrator sounds like Ren from Ren & Stimpy.

  • Save natural gases before it completely ran out within a few decades from now ~~

  • ...how an atomic bomb can stop all problems of human civilization ;[

  • how the hell did they get a pipe down there anyways

  • Wouldn't nukinf underwater just contaminate the water with radiation.... Therefore making it unsafe for people to swim in..... Just a thought

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=*?

  • Theres just something SO FUCKING SEXY about russians saying radioactivity.

  • im going to fucking kill anyone who ever speaks to me in that accent. watching this video made me slit my wrists and regret not dying.

  • @natashacolon1 Natasha what you need is my dick buried deep into your colon to make you love life.

  • did he say "for our national economy"?? sonavabitch.. thats what you steal and that fed to the american people.. crazy hypocrite..

  • @LanLbn You do realize these are Russians right?

  • Heat will not stop leaks.

  • I guess the russians do propagande movies to the russian people on english ? make sense? no it's a american propaganda movie ya know don't write it's a russian one the americans is the leading country when it comes to propaganda!

  • @LJprotection

Did it ever occur to you that they made this for non-Russians to see?

Hee in the USA we have the "Voice of America", it's radio and TV produced for foreign countries with programming in both native languages and English....and it's all produced by our lovely State Department who broadcast this stuff 24/7. Modern day propaganda.

  • @CineGraphic

This is how THEY blew up the WTC buildings...

  • @LJprotection 2:53 the letters on the control panel are cyrillic. it's pretty much USSR's propaganda.

  • Well Im glad ti worked, but that is such a huge gamble. Any number of things could have gone wrong. Had the gas pocket been any larger, or closer to the surface, the blast could have ignited the entire deposit and, well, you talking some tectonic scale shifting of the earth on that continent.

  • 2:57 WHAT THE F-BOOM!

  • Have the governments considered how it could make the problem worse? It could kill anyone near the site due to radiation/cancer or creating a larger hole possibly making another hole and make more oil come out at a larger rate. God some Americans are dumb.

  • Only a careless nation of assholes would use a nuclear device on something like this. Try not being so damn greedy to begin with and this kind of drilling accident would never happen.

  • @helix1776dragon ummm....then how come every nation in the world is still drilling oil. And the USSR had a socialist regime which was completely selfless

  • I understand people's nervousness about it but the film is just a historical document of somebody successfully using this technique when all else failed slackerdan416 says the technique would not work in the gulf because the sea bottom is silt and rotting material. I kind of doubt that is true. I am pretty sure they are drilling through rock down there.

  • Hey this is a good way to use all these spare nukes in the stock piles!

  • When it was that? is there any effect to the near by buildings or underground services?

  • whoever made this video is a fucking retard

  • i understand how this idea would work, but think about it, how hard it would be to drill AGAIN down near it and then think about how this is in the water, if large amounts of radiation got into the water it would contaminate fish and spread around so this wouldn not work.

  • First, read what I posted just above and THEN read a book.

  • russians always turn to nuclear bombs......... u know it is true

  • Yes, because the Russians are so great at preserving the enviroment.

  • How am I not surprised that the Russians would use nukes like that. :/

  • thats how to do it

  • are trees extinct in this part of Russia..lol

  • Hahahahaha... not.

  • Sounds fun. Too bad it's plugged already. We can always make a new break though...

  • Thickshades' prediction is coming true! ROFLMFAO!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the rambling of a stupid creationist would be taken seriously by a conspiracy nut..

  • Expensive but good.

  • Russian and the US were developing nuclear powered aircraft at one point. Biggest LOL in history.

  • what could possibly go wrong.........

  • in fact US use this technique in the 90s gulf war, when saddam army fires kuwaits petroleum at their retreirment

  • this sure seems like a smart idea for the gulf after all a NUCLEAR EXPLOSION wont fuck up the water right? i mean radiation sure isnt a threat to animal or human life

may i remind you the same animals we happen to EAT!

    /sarcasm

  • all those people died a few years after... lol

  • bullshit!

  • Talk with insiders like Lindsay Williams says that a nuclear option for a deep oil well is too dangerous. All of Russias were on land. Some were even bigger than BPs(once they found out the pressure, was estimated to be between 30,000-100,000psi, tests put it around 40,000) but cause of the shape of the ocean floor, their inability to judge how big it was or the shape, and the fact its on the side of a mountain they might blow a hole in, puts any nuclear option out the window!

  • @NZCUB3R

Filmed in 1966, color correction and digitally remastered in 2009.(the original film had faded to pink/red, quite common for cheap filmstock)

Hardly fake at all. The Russians used this method FIVE times, and each one has been clearly documented.

  • @CineGraphic OK m8 but the russians don't make english spoken documentaries

  • @NZCUB3R

You weren't even born then..you are just a kid.

The USSR produced PLENTY of English speaking films. Ever hear of PROPAGANDA!?

  • @CineGraphic how about you fuck off - the USSR government hated the west - the only (most) of the propaganda was interior propaganda

  • @NZCUB3R

You've spend too much time playing with your Rubik's cube so STFU for a sec and learn something. The USSR constantly made films meant for foreign audiences, mainly the U.S. The cold war was 100% pure propaganda.

The U.S. did the same thing, in fact we STILL do it, it's called the "Voice of America" The VOA broadcasts our propaganda via radio & TV world-wide 27/7.

The film was made to show the US that they were superior in the use of peacetime nukes. I bet you've never been to the USA.

  • @CineGraphic how the fuck is a rubik's cube involved with any of this?

  • @illinois918918

The idiot I was replying to hosts vids about rubik cubes

  • @CineGraphic haha what a pro- NOT. haha good nuke vid btw

  • these guys get it done they don't f*** around

  • how the hell could this video have been a year ago when the bp oil spill began in may of 2010? o.O

  • @UFCMania98

It was made in the 60's and posted over a year ago with a different title. (You can see the original title in the opening clip.) I changed the title when I realized that the same method could be used in the gulf. Once I changed the title I went from 1200 views in 1 year to 300,000 in 1 month.

  • @CineGraphic lol in that case, stopping the oil leak with a nuke is a horrible idea. bp and their lackey obama don't want the oil spill stopped. you honestly believe that a major oil company like this doesn't have a backup plan if there's an oil leak in the ocean? lmfao. on top of that, there over 50 ships from 40 countries that were sent to the gulf to suck up the oil spill, but obama sent them back. because he wants to use this crisis to implement his bullshit carbon taxes

  • @UFCMania98

You lost any credibility you may of had with that Nazi background on your page.

  • reminds me of

"Under control?? You're grabbing a f-ing bazooka you dumbass!!"

  • New subscriber. Awesome. Hey, you would love my BIKINI GIRL video issue! GERM Bookstore in Philly sells it online. You could order a video from me directly, but a DVD has to be ordered from the States. 2 hours of video fun from 1990. It is in many museum permanent collections. cutecatfaith d com is my website. I am in MODERN WOMEN by MoMA (Lisa Baumgardner) and will be in FREAK WAVE 2. Check 'em out! Best to you from France via Ohio and NYC. xo

  • I still don't know why they don't just call Superman

  • @krammit69 he was out of town for the day

  • @skynsidhawaii what about shuck noris ??

  • @krammit69 ^This.

  • win

  • HMMM how ironic the Russians seem to be highly skilled and intelligent. I say we just bring them over and let them do it.

  • bruce lee killed chuck norris. <-that's a fact!

  • nuclear explosion..?

you mean with all of the radiation and stuff?

it wouldnt be bad underground but wtf?

  • bp is taking advice from russia? yeah were screwed.

  • LOL if it dose no harm AND DONT SEE WHY NOT :DD:D::D:D:D

  • Nuclear weapons: is there nothing they can't do?

  • @SpellboundSolution they cannot kill chuck norris

  • @brasteen1

Chuck Norris and that MOnkey who does Karate can kick their azzzes

  • @SpellboundSolution Sorry: "(...) anything they can't do?"

  • @SpellboundSolution They can do plenty. Perhaps we can have a 4th of July show with a few of those going off like so many firecrakers. If that's successfull, then other events can or may include the Guy Fawkes Day, the Chinese New Year's Day, New Year's Eve, Weddings, Baptismals... Who knows, maybe they can sell mini-Castle Bravos as consumer fireworks. Just kidding.

  • KEEWL!!

  • Put Radio Active On ARAB OIL.

  • *wonders why this video was added before the Gulf even had a leak....*

  • 2:20 dont slip :)

  • Those crazy Russkies woul use a nuke to bake cookies!Lol

  • Only problem is, this is ubove ground, not deep in the ocean.....

  • ppl are fucking up the planet

  • And how was the gas saved, I missed something.

They can't drill in the area.

  • A good solution for above-ground uncontrollable gas leaks, but it'd probably be a disaster underwater.

An explosion, on hard rock, would remain underground and cause a circular cavity underneath the surface. However, a great deal of the ocean floor is silt, a combination of sedimentary rock and decaying debris. A nuclear explosion underwater in silt would probably collapse in on itself after the blast, releasing radioactive particles into the ocean.

  • @slackerdan416

No because 1. the well isnt drilled through silt and 2. silt at these depths is very comressed and hard. At htese pressures it acts as though it were hard igneous rock.

It would work but any PR from it would be detremental... people are scared of the word 'nuclear' because of the media and the irrationlity of the general public.

  • @slackerdan416 dont forget when the sea floor collapses a HUUUUGE tsunami will wash away the gulf states n northern tops of s america, ALL island nations down there will be gone too, SURFS UP!!!!!

  • @slackerdan416 They can use a "clean nuke".

  • @xMountainDoox Would a "Vacuum Bomb" (a fuel-air, or fuel-O2 bomb, the Father or Mother of Bombs) work as well? From what I have seen it worked just as well as a low yield fission device, but will it do the same under water? I don't know, but I doubt it. Some think that yes, it would. What sayest thou? :)

  • You're right but that wouldn't be such a big deal considering the size of the bomb would be small. Of the thousands of nuclear bombs tested on this planet (atmospherically, underwater, in space, etc...) I don't think one small weapon releasing a small amount of radionuclides into the water is going to have any adverse effect whatsoever.

"Oh no, radioactive particles in the ocean!" Ha! That's just so funny considering what I stated above!

  • @slackerdan416 Call me a skeptic but, would the release of approx. 25kg's of nuclear material really have been worse then the release 672 million kg's of oil? (4.9 million barrels total spill x 138kg per barrel). Many nuclear weapons have been detonated under water with no known significant adverse consequences to the environment. The ocean's capacity to dilute radiation is huge given it contains approx. 326 million trillion gallons of water and the radioactivity itself decreases with time.

  • haha, awesome... lol... and not such a bad idea in this particular case... (but no, terrible idea using it in the OCEAN floor)

  • Does anyone know if this would make the oil or gas radioactive and therefore un-useable for future generations. Also, what if the nuke makes the leak worse? Then what would you do? Good video, where did you get it from?

  • @glenitube\

It all depends on the size of the nuke and its proximity to the oil pocket, the procedure shown here would be unlikely to cause -induced- radiation in the oil, as the radiation would need to penetrate many meters of solid rock, and it's next to the well shaft, rather then the reserve itself.

However, if the location post-detonation is not well sealed, and hydo/geologically stable, then radioactive partials could seep into the oil.

  • Ah, those crazy Russians!! Ha ha ha...

  • I'd say it makes alot of sense, although I don't know about the oil leak because its not like the news say's anything about it!

  • This doesnt make sense... yes the nuke would get rid of the oil leaak bcuz everything is completely wiped out! Obvious?

  • lucky, one small mis calculation and they could have made it a lot worse.

  • he kinda sounds like thickshades....

  • @ratbone39 Thunderf00t video reference ftw.

  • Nukes: The answer to every question

  • Gotta give em, its a bloody good use of a nuke. But 23 sec..lol...plus 3 weeks of drilling and plugging with concrete :D

    10/10 for innovation and simplicity.

  • @aleckgb I bet the the little fucker was dropped on his head

  • It is people like you odustbrown that are brainwashed by these huge oil companies and governments that we always have to have oil to survive. It has been proven by both earlier and modern day scientists that our atmosphere does house an entire electric grid which we can harness free electricity OUT OF THIN AIR!!

  • @aleckgb I expect to see your proposal for harnessing this grid within a week. Email it to odustbrown@yahoo.com. Can't do it? Thought so. Shut the fuck up stupid. Basement physicists like you think that they can solve all the world's problems with the bullshit they read on their conspiracy sites. All the while, we real, educated scientists have to deal with conditions in the real world. I'd like to see you prove that your solution is feasible. That's what I thought.

  • @odustbrown shut the fuck up stupid? LOL. WOW! Thanks for proving my point to everyone that views this! You truly are uneducated. I don't waste my time with inferior people like you. GOOD LUCK IN SURVIVING WITH THAT MINDSET! AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE NAME CALLING, WE WILL SEE WHERE THAT GETS YOU IN LIFE! I am sure whatever happened to you as a child must have been harsh...I am sorry for you. OVER&OUT!!

  • @aleckgb happening yet?

  • @aleckgb listen i couldnt care less about need for oil but they helped ban cannabis around the world due to its high yield of high quality seeds which are known to be the best in the world in the production of biodiesel and i am fairly sore at them for that...them and the alcohol multinational corporations...

  • WOW! Whether boxa888 is spamming or not it is sad to see people that are mocking him. It is people like you that PREVENT society from moving forward to a better future. It was the same people like you who told the wright brothers that they were crazy and could never get a machine to fly in the air. AND TO YOU ODUSTBROWN. By you calling him names and cursing at him makes you the one who truly needs an education! Oh, and you don't need oil and coal just to create electricity!

  • rah-rah that putin, leader of the russian team... oh those russians :)

  • your just an idiot

  • Voice over by Ren Hoek?

  • If you research this you'll find that surprise surprise this didn't work. There was radioactive material leaking afterwards continually.

I'm surprised from your description that you still buy this as a solution even when admitting it's a propaganda video

  • So simple. I doubt it works that well though.

  • nukes on oil will create a horrible environmental disaster

  • NIKOLA TESLA could have saved us from this 100 yrs ago! please look it up, he created a wireless energy system that allowed energy to be obtained anywhere on earth! i put up info on my youtube and i demostrate a 20 ft wireless transmission to prove that the system works! we could build it right away and get off of this oil dependence, you can run cars wirelessly and never need oil again. please read tesla's "increasing human energy" it tells u real clean energy

    COPY SPREAD TELL OTHERS!

  • @boxa888 Stop spamming your nonsense. I already exposed your lack of any knowledge. Don't listen to this fool.

  • @boxa888 You're a fucking retard. Where do you think Tesla's energy originated? Out of thin air? What powers the generators that supply that electricity? Get an education you dumb shit. Coal and oil, for the most part, create electricity, stupid. You're one of the uneducated mongoloids that voted Obama in to office. You probably think he collects money from the illegals and uses it to pay your welfare, don't you? Castrate yourself so my kids don't have pay for your kid's welfare check.

  • Forget the NUKE in this video. This video give you a great example of what a compromised drill casing looks like and the results. This is why there are cracks and leaks in the GoM, capping this well may look good on T.V., but in reality this could make thing a whole lot worse.

  • a nuclear device on the bp gulf well woould be the last option if everything got really out of control

  • Shall I push the button?

  • In Soviet Russia Oil Leak nukes you....JAJAJAJAJAJAJA

  • NIKOLA TESLA could have saved us from this 100 yrs ago! please look it up, he created a wireless energy system that allowed energy to be obtained anywhere on earth! i put up info on my youtube and i demostrate a 20 ft wireless transmission to prove that the system works! we could build it right away and get off of this oil dependence, you can run cars wirelessly and never need oil again. please read tesla's "increasing human energy" it tells u real clean energy

    COPY SPREAD TELL OTHERS!

  • @boxa888 Crackpot nonsense.

  • @boxa888 The Tesla coil was only used to transmit energy (you still have to make it somehow), and to do it ineffectively at that (since it emitted it spherically rather than linearly the power fell off as the inverse cube). Get an education and learn what your talking about.

  • @brockunc THAT IS UNTRUE! u dont know how the system works, it uses a wire and does not transmit energy as a em wave, it is actually a earthcurrent wave if u dont understand, the earth is the wire, there is no inverse squarelaw on the wire idiot, stop talking about stuff you do not know. u have to do the research! tesla never talks of a radio wave idiot, ur just an assumer, ass consumer lol.

  • @boxa888 Your the one thats misinformed. I know the devise your referring to and once again it is used to transmit (not produce) energy. So no its not free energy and nothing ever will be. Everything has a cost. You still have to figure out how to produce the energy. Plus as I stated before it emits energy spherically (in all directions) so yes energy falls off as the inverse cube. In a wire the only loss is through resistance. I have a degree in physics what makes you an expert?

  • @brockunc u still dont know how it works, the energy would come from hydrothermal or hydroelectric powerplants, its that easy, no it does not follow the square law, only the resistive changes in a wire such as the earth. this is not radio waves again, doesnt matter if u have a degree, u dont even know how this powerplant works, do alot more research, ur not even close!

  • @boxa888 Hydrothermal and hydro electric energy production are independent of the device. If you want to advance those technologies thats a different story. But they do have costs and are not free. If the energy is sent through the earth it still falls off as the inverse cube (square is for two dimensional fall off but through the earth is 3 dimensional). And yes the earth has significantly higher resistance than a wire (which is why we use wires). Its you who has to do more research.

  • @brockunc that is also not true, wire diameter significantly reduces resistance, the crosectional area of hte earth as a wire is huge, so resistance is overcome at a high voltage and energy travels efficiently through the earth better than wire itself. u still do not know how the system works, and its really no point in argueing. i showed proof on my account, and that his helped others learn technology not written in the"science book".please know how the system works, i have done the experiments

  • @boxa888 Looks its really not worth arguing with someone who has no scientific background since I have to explain every little thing but your are wrong. The energy would be transmitted in 3 dimension rather than 1 dimension like in a wire. Because of this energy falls off as the inverse cube rather than merely a factor of the resistance, so your wire analogy is incorrect. Energy loss in a wire is minuscule compared to the inverse cube. (cont)

  • @boxa888 So what your describing is an inefficient way to transmit energy. It does nothing to produce it and in no way would it solve our energy problems or "give free energy to everyone". If you think you've discovered some new way to more efficiently transmit energy you should present it for scientific testing rather than ranting about it on utube. Anyway its not worth arguing with you as your just another crazy uneducated conspiracy theorist who's lack of knowledge leads him to misconceptions

  • @boxa888 you have zero idea of what you're talking about mate.

  • Not bad, Russki's. Not bad :)

  • The BP oil spill 911 hoax will not stop

  • @russiaboss What?

  • Seems they used an early more primitive relief well concept combined with a large bomb to collapse the structure like a super top kill approach to block the flow before sealing in the well and rock formation. Now with precise directional drilling methods this is not a necessary option, even in that case. If they goofed, then they'd end up with more gas rising up. If this method goofed in Gulf, then you could collapse the structure and end up with an even worse disaster! NUTS!

  • Science is what I do in life, I am thinking perhaps yu are an internet scientist, I am an industrial scientist----I agree with Clinton on this scenario, The oil flow could have been ended 80 days ago

  • i dont think BP wants to stop the gas they just want to save what they can because they are just a bunch of greedy british douche bags

  • The shock wave would kill about 50% of the animals. Watch mythbusters "shooting fish in a barrel" they explain why.

  • @Ilovemytoast that would be less than the current amount of animals killed by letting the oil run for three months.

  • @Ilovemytoast you expect something to still be alive down there?

  • but doesnt closing it off completely just put pressure back into the whole thing and you will have another blowout somewhere else...only we dont know where the new blowout will be??

  • When I see images like these, I think why we pay so high for Gas, petroleum, etc.

It comes almost for free, the natural pressures almost pumps it out.

There is a big lie around this energy source: Petroil.

Another thing I think, is: What is going to replace the area that was previously occupied by the petroil and gas, in Lithosphere?

  • Early news reports indicate that the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico has been stopped.

A spokesperson for BP said they placed a Wedding Band on the pipe and it quit putting out almost immediately.

  • You idiots. They aren't putting out a fire. They need to plug a leak. This is the stupidest idea I have seen. If you allow you government to do this, you deserve the consequences!

  • @netfisherman It won't be done. Nuking is obviously not the only option. The evidence is in the several different alternatives they attempted.

  • So what happens when you detonate a nuclear bomb under the ocean floor say....5 miles or so?

  • To bad the bp oil leak is deep under water and nuclear waste will spread thru out the water along with the oil already in the gulf, oh and dont forget about thoes highly toxic chemical dispurcents they are useing to cover the oil. As an american speaking out i can just say we are fucking our shit up

  • It seems however less toxic forms of explosions could accomplish the same thing,

Perhaps we would have to drill more holes for the use of dynamite or other explosives that would have a less devastating effect on the sea life.

  • something has to be done but wont nukeing it cause problems with the tectonic plates????????? just asking ????? and also the fault line that runs up the mississippi river?????????????

  • @GONECRUISING72 .... The New Madrid Earthquake Zone

  • @cabl3guy2012 yes wont a nuke cause that to move flooding to mississippi area

  • @GONECRUISING72 ... Sure would.. And that area would become like quick sand, a rather large area.. I think if they said that a nuke would be used they (the gov) would put people into camps out of harms way. um perhaps FEMA camps. Freaky thought.. but............

  • Pretty much every expert interviewed have said that this option doesn't make much sense. Sure, it might work, but the chances of it working are pretty small. And if it doesn't work, it will probably make things worse.

  • Nuke some islam countries first!

  • but this video is above ground not 4000 ft under water

  • Put the illuminate and banking families and royal families and my disobedient dog and my mother in law down there too. LOL.

  • no tidal waves, no 3-eyed fish. we're talking about a very small nuke at 3K feet below the seabed surface. radiation released into the gulf would be tiny (especially compared to the devistation going on now). there's no tidal wave, nimrods. i'm no expert, but real experts are kicking this around. it's a possibility and if the guys who know this stuff say 'go', i'm w/them.

  • lets save this for a rainy day

  • Yeah, notice how this well is on the ground, and it's just kinda pleasantly flickering? The gulf well is 5,000 feet underwater and is gushing at an insane pressure. An atomic bomb ~could~ work, but it ~could~ also cause a mega earthquake or a collapsing caldera. Basically, if you're correct - you save the say in the gulf. If you're wrong, you wipe out the human race.
