Hey! I was a young teenager in the 70's too...Those were the days. You could listen to the radio all day and hear something good...I'm gonna build a wayback machine and go back to the 70's Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song reminds me of my uncle who committed suicide after he came home from the service we used to play this song and kick it while we smoked the peace pipe. "RIP Gerald 1977) Love me
@JACKMYHOGGOFF ..I was born in '57 and when Bread came on the radio in my car...I was a hard rocker...No light weight stuff for me...but secretly I liked Bread...Then I got hitched in the 90s to a woman who really dugged, Bread, Badfinger, etc....Brought it all out of me...Just embrace the music....

this song really is amazing!!! I wish I could blast it for the entire world to hear. Music just makes you think how precious life can really be. If you realize that, then your one of the lucky ones. Enjoy!! Peace and love to all. x.o
In the Army my buddy had Bose tall rectangular speakers and we CRANKED it up for this one!!! They could here it in the Mess Hall which was a football field away! @shadowofblue. It Is The Feeling: Who treats You Right, night after night, baby it is the Guitar Man ! I belief in Holy Spirit, Jesus and God. Why ? Because The Holy Spirit and Jesus came me to me and I am going to see God in Heaven ! I am walking and speaking with Jesus in mjy heart and it is beautiful, I worry about nothing and it is great Just give Your life to Jesus, and You will get peace, joy and life, for ever ! I wil pray for you tonigt. I Love Jesus.
This song is so so beautiful, the best song that Bread ever did!! I wish we can go back to those days just one more time. I miss them so much and the great music the artist's gave us. No songs today will ever compare to them, ever!! x.o
@ToLoveJesusForever About God? How so, friend? I am not being sarcastic, as I am interested in all beliefs. In what way does this song speak of God? I am interested in what you believe.
I dont know but I love Bread.. all their songs! I was only 5 when i started to love bread....am now 23 but still i played and palyed this music all over again
The best! Remember cruising around the south african coastline with a bunch of surf buddies in search of the perfect wave, listening to this album! And yes, it was back in the 70's... fabulous!
My sister died of this afternoon of breast cancer. I can remember as teens, She would sing while I played this song on my six-string. I still own the same guitar she decorated beautifully.
Paranoid schizophrenia took her mind in high school. At least her suffering is over.
One of the first songs I learned to play on guitar back in the 70's. I still have the middle school talent show brochure from the talent show I won with this song. James Taylor Fire and Rain was my next song....
Dark times in the UK when this song came out, I think that's why songs like this were hits, not just because they're beautiful songs but they help us to forget the **** our world/country/life is in. I play in a cover band doing this era music and we're really getting big crowds recently....
I was 10 when this album came out what a great time growing up in the 70's, seems like yesterday, time goes so fast. My kids today don''t know what they missed music wise.
To retrospect1983: I hear ya LOUD and clear... while your sister was painting her room "deep purple", I was blasting away with Deep Purple and the rest of these great bands of the time!
@markd325 There were many good aspects of living in the seventies, but there were bad as well. All in all, live life now as if there is little of it left and love the people around you who deserve it.
@markd325 I was there. Yes, the 70's rocked. My life was that 70's show. We stood up, spoke out, took our stand, had pet rocks, our most popular toys were Slinky and Slime . . . we, as a people, need to make every generation matter.
@MrDmollinga the good ole days of tv zenith consoles, green carpet and shag rugs, the wooden fork and spoon on the wall, the black kitty cat clock with the moving eyes and tail, bell bottoms, brady bunch, records the size of flying saucers, wicker furniture, cars so big they had a porch and attic, and afros...........................and I wasnt born til 72!
I absolutely Love this song. It brings back sweet memories of my high school years and even later in college. And hanging out with my brothers on Friday nights.
Who are gone now, but the memories still remain how we would comment on this guitar playing, AWESOME, jrd/today
Can you imagine what the LA music scene must have been like in the early to mid-70's? The creative process with so many talented musicians must have been incredible. From a music standpoint, I feel so lucky to have grown up in the 60's & 70's.
@jarden69 I grew up in LA during that time frame and it was great growing up in Southern Cal..back then, the best things in life were free...I left back in 2004 and now live in NM. @jarden69 I grew up in the 60s and 70s, best times to grow up!!!! Everything seemed easier then. Cars was pretty, music was great!!!! my dad made 25,000 in 1972. I thought we were rich, but we where middle class and had and have a wonderful family.
this is actually music my parents listened to when they were young adults, but it followed me and my siblings too on a very old cassette that i managed to keep and gave depth into "growing up". love it since many years and somehow i still think it's amazing how much bad things and evil i went through as teenager even when i was listening to something this beautiful.
