  • Raconteurs, Pink Floyd, Melvins.... The diversity of songs used really says a lot about the versatility of this pedal.

  • I wanna hear some hardcore punk with this pedal... Sad face.

  • can you get the same tone's as the original pedal??

  • I just ordered this pedal. I cannot wait to get it.

  • ZZ TOP!

  • Yeah MELVINS !

  • How much is this worth?

  • RACONTEURS!!!!

  • Very cool sounding Fuzz!!! it amazes me how many variations can come from one pedal!!!

  • YOU SINK A MAH SWAN

  • it's like a muff that doesn't go mushy when you palm mute. This muff can take a pounding. (couldn't resist a vag joke)

  • Racounters! Woo!

  • does anyone know what the background song at 0.58-1.30 is? :)

  • @HappySmilyGuy - The background music is an original tune made in-house by Jamie, Andy's assistant. Thanks!

    -PGS

  • so is Electric Wizard possible with this pedal?

  • @xboxman360man Yep. I tried it out and got damn close to their recent tones.

  • Every overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedal should have a focus knob! Genius!

  • Is it just me or does anyone else look away from the computer when they're checking out pedals who cares what it looks like its all about sound and this pedal does sound good.

  • muff killer... this sounds as a all-in one muff box

  • totally HATE the intro of this vid

  • @pablinkk the only clear solution is suicide.

  • steady as she goes , level on night train ... racounteurs!

  • What is the song from 1.59 to 2.08?

  • Comment removed

  • @Naturalplague have a cigar - pink floyd ;)

  • is it just me or doesn't it sound a bit more distortion-ish and less fuzzie than the big muff?

  • @askerex i dunno man it sounds pretty dam fuzzy when hes playing the smashing pumpkins tune.

  • pink floyd, melvins, and zz top all in the same demo. nice!

  • Have a Cigar|

  • Melvins!

  • i play on this one now :D

  • this pedal sounds unbelievable through my super reverb reissue. absolutely stunning; it's the perfect rhythm tone. that said, it sounds so bad as to be unusable through my vox ad50.

  • this baby sells itself

but exellent playing from andy anyway :D

  • @TikiHast that would be me

  • 4.54 Cherub Rock!!!!! :D

  • 2:45 Hooch by Melvins. >:D

  • Ohh nice Pink Floyd Sound !! ;)

  • Comment removed

  • 5:05 - Russian F*** Yeahhh !!!!

  • Mmmm loves the Floyd through this pedal. Pretty much just sold itself

  • I love the focus feature! So many great tones are built on Fuzz but you cant get em tight through certain amps. LOVE IT!!!

  • have a cigar!!

  • Me want d Musket to fuzz somebody out , and me want the version 1 and 2 preferably 3 , 4 would be nice , give me the whole production line :D

  • MELVINS!

  • whats he song andy use for background when he starts talking?

  • During the introduction, the music in the background; is that bass being played through a Musket? Or some other fuzz pedal?

  • @AAyliffe - In the background music it's a guitar tuned down a whole step, through a ZVex Fuzz Factory.

  • Hooch!

  • Andy the sounds of the musket in this vid and the other one with the mountain graphics are completely different. Is it the pedal or was it the recording/guitar/amp setup? Cheers

  • @fisherman10101 - The Musket is capable of a great many tones, but most of the difference is probably due to our amp change. The first demo was with a 65Amps Soho and this one is a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Thanks!

    -PGS Crew

  • Steady As She Goes!!

  • jack white:)

  • Andy...i know what you did last mothersday......you where celebrated

  • no I think it's depend on the quality of the circuit if there is good component the pedal will be exellent and then it's just the sound that you want wich is very important

  • You;re wrong.

  • When pedals are mass produced they seem to have less quality and are more noisey than they ones that are considered boutique, correct me if i am wrong.

  • No, it's the other way around. Boutique pedals have inconsistent build quality and vary more wildly in their performance than mass-produced pedals. Boutique pedals are just that: low production run, quirky and made by hand, even though they tend to use higher quality parts internally. 3 things will still be around after the apocalypse: Boss pedals, Bud Lite, and roaches. There is no uniqueness, but just try killing off any of 'em.

  • @jspartacus: cool story bro.

  • @jspartacus depends on which boutique builders you buy from. D*A*M tends to vary, IMO, but someone like Barber delivers consistent tones.

Boss is consistent, but I don't want consistent crap.

  • I think this sounds better than the Big Muff.

    Anyone else agree?

  • more versatile it is for shure

  • @bobthebum16

hey, i know yous from UG. ;)

probably one of my fave Muff derivatives.

  • @bobthebum16 It is a Big Muff with 3 additional pots.

  • @bobthebum16 indeed, but a 100 bucks better?

  • @dokterwouterkabouter Absolutely.

  • is it quiet? A have a little big muff. I like it i guess, but man that noiz!!!

    it's unbearable!!

Do you know how can you reduce/eliminate noiz from fuzzes??

    please help.

  • What Guitar do you use son...

  • is this pedal quiet?

  • If I max out the pre control and set the fuzz to zero, what will happen to the sound? i recognize that you can't cut out the fuzz circuit altogether, but can you decrease the gain enough that it sounds like an overdrive pedal?

  • Killer tone, dials down perfectly also

    must have!

  • MELVINS. thank you.

  • Do any of you know how this thing does on bass? any low end loss or anything?

  • Pink Floyd Kicks ass

  • MELVINS!!! I saw Buzzo and the crew a couple months ago, it was fantastic.

NIce have a cigar. This pedal is beautiful.

  • hooch! :D

  • It sounds awesome and I'm debating picking one up, but I think it might be kind of redundant after owning the GI fuzz.

  • is the GI Fuzz any good at sludge tones?

  • amazing tone with a really trippy case cover? SOLD!

  • This pedal sounds awesome. Just a question. How will it sound with a wah and loads of delay? I need a solid but not punchy sound if you know what I mean (will be used for trip-hop stuff..). Thanks :)

  • steady as she goes sounds like bombers by gary numan

  • pink floyd-have a cigar- BEST SONG EVAR!

  • awesome melvins riff

  • I like the new stylistic approach to viewing the pedals!..

  • steady as she goes :)

  • Have a cigar youre gonna go far. youre never gonna die youre gonna make it if you try their gonna love you

  • steady as she goes

  • In the new Twosome Dual Fuzz from Blackout Effectors, do they use the V1 Musket or V2?

  • 5:30 wats that song, please answer!!!!

  • Cherub Rock - Smashing Pumpkins

  • I think it's by Lenny Kravitz, Fly away or something

  • Cherub Rock by the Smashing Pumpkins

  • Starts at 4:54

  • ok but wats the name?

  • Cherub Rock lol

  • The MJM pedals are better imo...

  • los tick a toe ress

  • i like proshop

  • Nailed the Billy Gibbons tone!

  • Have A Cigar! Nice Playing!

  • Great sound and sweet design. Me wants it.

  • steady as she goes!!! heck yeah!

  • Question: how does the Musket Fuzz (V2) stack with other boutique OD pedals ??

  • try to ROCKETT AFTERBURNER OD-FUZZ

  • this thing is like a dream come true!

  • Raconteurs at the beginning... I really want their double fuzz pedal... Though this pedal is very sexy. Nice pumpkins tone on there.

  • What double fuzz pedal?

  • The twosome... it's both of Blackouts fuzz pedals in one box... It's pretty sick.

  • Blackout makes a Twosome Dual Fuzz. PGS sells it as well. $285.00

  • HOOCH =D

  • That is what I call a sexy Pedal.

  • Jesus Just left Chicago. And he's bound for New Orleans.

    Do want this pedal.

  • Strange to me that a fuzz pedal won't run off a battery....

  • steady as she goes, hell yeah

  • Nice Melvins Hooch cover Andy!

  • "If I ever buy a fuzz, this is it." I've been hearing that come out of my mouth the last dozen fuzz pedal reviews. Rock on.

  • Cherub ROCK! oh yeah!

  • Is this bad boy analog or digital?

  • Any fuzz pedal in a stomp box is analog.

  • no such thing as a digital fuzz pedal

  • Well, not technically, but there are digital modelers that emulate fuzz. Tomato tomahto, I suppose...

  • I *think* the Boss Fuzz (Fz 5 or so) is digital.. It says COSM technology..

  • Boss FZ-5 uses digital modeling.

  • i'm not a big fan of fuzz pedals but i can dig this one.

  • The only thing missing from the Cherub Rock solo is the flanger.

  • the classic fuzz settings are spot on late Pink Floyd

  • I think that's because the Musket Fuzz is based on a Big Muff, which Gilmour has used since 1977 or so.

  • The band is just fantastic,

that is really what I think.

Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

  • Steady as she goes!

  • reminds me of nirvana.

  • Yeah, the Melvins were one of Kurts favorite bands, and you can really hear King Buzzo's guitar's tone in Nirvana....uh at 2:45 is Andy doing the Melvins Hooch.

  • to bad nirvana sucks to most people...point..!

  • not my cup of tea but very nice sounding pedal. It's more distortion-y then, say, a Fuzzface or a Fuzz Tone

  • What is that Metal song he plays with the les paul.

  • Hooch by Melvins.

  • At 2:45 ? That's Hooch by the Melvins

  • this thing is some kind of awesome.

  • I actually really like this one. Some other fuzzes you guys have reviewed I really hate like the China fuzz, but this one seems REALLY good

  • The guy who does most of the demos has a badass job.

  • one of best jobs in teh world,

    don't know about pay though

    keep rockin andy!

  • Nice pedal. This is really nice.

  • killer, love the musky sound. real dry

  • good tone for the "have a cigar" bit...

  • This is the first decent distortion pedal that i've personally seen in a while

  • Finally. I really support this. Please order some today!

    ;)

  • awesome!

  • firssst nice pedal!! some kind of dry sounding

  • c'mon, it's dry! at the end it gets muddy, but I like that dry difference to the big muff
