  • Is there any way I can make my cookies slightly chewy? I really hate crispy cookies but aren't sure what to change. Any tips? :)

  • @magickalcat83 If you want crisper cookies, bake them a little longer. If you want them chewier, bake them a little less ;)

  • @magickalcat83 if you want them crispy put more white sugar. if you want them more chewy put more brown sugar.

  • Dear John I followed your recipe today, although I used 3/4c of sugar in total they still turned out a lil too sweet. But doesn't matter, they were great.

    Thank you a lot.

P/s: I've followed a lot of your recipes but now I realize maybe you'll be happy if I share the news with you. So I post here and hope they'll make your days.

  • Hey, Do you have to usse both sugars? or can you just use white xx

  • Nice job - since you mentioned biscuits, I'd love to see a recipe for homemade McVities!

  • YUck hate the Brits!!

  • w8 a second, before u bake the chip there is 9 of them,after bake become 12?

  • @instenalable This recipe makes about 40 cookies ;)

  • us poor americans don't use the metric system, so its so confusing watching your videos. if god had intended us to count by tens he would have given us ten fingers to count on. :)

  • @richardsebreower There are plenty of conversion recipes out there. l use them all the time converting ounces and pounds to the metric system. LOL. Someone is always going to be confused but thankfully there are many great sites out there to help us. :)

  • O.O Yumiii ... where's the subscribe button? cookies told to hit it!

  • heya im a big fan of your videos im only 14 and your videos have helped me make so much yummi food :) i see you have a cup that says timtam on it they are really yummi but i cant find them in ireland :/

  • @xalishajamesx Have you tried looking on eBay? It's the best place to find Tim Tams if you're outside Australia ;)

  • @xalishajamesx Tim Tams I think are penguin biscuits !

  • I always end up eating all the cookie dough and cant make my cookies...lol

  • my dough is super sticky and runny. i think it's because i melted the butter instead of just making it soft (i didn't know what soft butter meant at the time), is there anything i can do?

  • @misterjohnson24 Not really - you need to start again :(

  • would it taste the same if i dont add brown sugar?

  • @TheLaughlove3 It will taste slightly different if you don't add the brown sugar ;)

  • i wonder, I've just putten all the ingedrients together, and now i just have to add the chocolate chips... but my dough is so STICKY is that normal ? i got all the measurements right ( 1cup =250ml)

  • @Daweishagua btw i make them with my hands kneeding the dough. normally when you kneed do all the stickyness dissapears when the dough gets solid and takes all of the bits around your bowl and your hands away .. ?

  • can I use plain flour + baking soda instead of self raising flour??

  • @cherish3310 Yes, plain flour and baking powder will be fine ;)

  • can i use margarine instead of butter?

  • @microwave1232 You can, but the taste may not be exactly the same ;)

  • no salt or baking soda?

  • How many degrees should the oven be at?

  • Hmmmm.... Only 11 min and i can EAT! :D

  • @theSilthi DELICIOUS!

  • I have never personally tasted a cookie that tasted as good as the ones that you get out of Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix from Ghirardelli. I have yet to try this recipe, but you REALLY need to try that mix. Truly amazing.

  • can i use a normal whisk? (my hand is going to hurt but i don't have the machine >_<)

  • subbed. You deserve it

  • Hi!! just because I'm making them, I want to ask, if I don't want to bake all the dough can I save it to bake it on another day?

  • @Marderouvi Cover remaining dough with plastic kitchen wrap and keep in the fridge for up to one day. You could also half the ingredients and make less ;)

  • did anyone notice that he started with 9 cookies on the tray but when he showed the finished product there were 12?? (;

  • @rachelgoesbananas199 This recipe makes 40 cookies, I made more than 1 tray with the mixture ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow ooh so you only showed 12 but made for batches....(;

  • whats the recipe of 2 dozen cookies? :D yummy looking cookies!!!

  • Since I'm a 15 year old boy, I've NEVER baked or did any thing in the kitchen (excluding sandwiches),

after i watched this I was encouraged to make cookies (I always wanted to), I waited until my mum left the house, gathered every thing, followed the instructions and i have to say that what I came out of the oven cannot be compared to your cookies, but still they're decent, the dishwasher is broken ._. oh crap.....

  • Hi!! Do they get the flat shape by themselves in the oven or do I have to flatten them?

  • @Marderouvi They'll flatten themselves as they bake ;)

  • Comment removed

  • can we use regular flour?

  • @19islandprincess96 Yes, you can use plain flour, but you will need to add 2 teaspoons of baking powder as well ;)

  • Okay, thanks for the reply :) luv ur channel btw :)

  • Hi can you please tell me do i have to half the egg aswell if i want to make half the amount of cookies this recipe makes????

  • @bengigirl01 No, just use a whole egg ;)

  • Can i take you home???

  • 33 people failed to made this :D

  • YouTube is filled SPECIFICALLY with american recipes!

Keeps getting harder to convert cups into desilitres!

  • @aFinnsTheory well feel free to upload your own recipe videos if your dissatisfied with the american ones.but its really not hard to convert just type in measurement conversion in your browser internet search engine and wala tuns of sites to convert your measurements for you... its what i use when i want to use a non american recipe.

  • @Witchysis31 Im not dissatisfied, i'm frustrated, because they don't sell 'cup' measurers where I live. I have no choice but to convert cups into desilitres, and that's exactly where I suck at.

  • @OnePotChefShow thanks :) gonna try these now! Got all the ingredients :D

  • Salted or unsalted butter?

  • @BieberFreak99 Unsalted is best for desserts, but you can use regular butter if it's all you have ;)

  • i would love to be your room mate :3

  • is it a must for brown sugar?

  • are there other alternatives instead of vanilla ?

  • @glam0rbrat18 i'm sure you could substitute any flavoring but they wont taste the same with out the vanilla.

  • Wow, those look SO good!!!! I want to make them, maybe add with some toffee pieces. Thank you for sharing this!!

  • nice video!!!!!!

  • i just leave mine in a ball and they flatten in the oven

  • after roll the mixture into a ball, do i need to press it into a round shape? or just leave it to raise in the oven?

  • IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN COOK THIS WITH OUT A OVEN OR MICROWAVE?????

  • why don't my cookies flatten when i take them out of the oven?

  • why cant i make it look like yours.. :(

  • YOU KNOW WHAT? they are AWESOME! bake using air! so tasty! congratulations :)

  • @TheBoogyfier what do you mean using AIR????? O.o

  • @hotmessmissy my oven has, among others, circulating air while baking! they bake faster! but if you use the air you should bake at 170!

  • oh! and should I bake then using the air?

  • mmm... are they supposed to be soft? cause I am baking some now and they've been in the oven for about half an hour.. they are still a bit soft, haven't turned "brown" but they look delicious! <3

  • Hhhhhh looks yummmy -3.-3

  • i love the kenwood robot chief, it reminds when i were a kid and that my mother was making cakes for our tea time

  • My grandmother use to add maraschino cherries chopped up to the mix and just a bit of the juice of the cherries she did it just to add a little something and they had a nice taste to them.

  • looks healthy

  • Can i use all purpose flour instead of self raising? and can i use a hand held electric mixer cause i dont have a mixer like yours... i'm asking this because some mixtures are not suppose to be mix so fast or too rugged if you know what i mean... and thanks for this recipe...

  • @kray00zee Yes, you can use a hand mixer. You can replace the self-raising flour with normal flour and add a little baking powder ;)

  • can you make a super easy, yet delicious CHOCOLATE CAKE?!?!

    Let me know...

  • David, chocolate chip is certainly my favorite! I like the dough as much as the final product. Well done on this video. Thank you for sharing!

  • i've tried your recipe couple of times.. they are fabulous but they never become flat at the end.. they are sort of thick.. how do you make them be like these pretty flat cookies.. Thank you so much

  • @byakulover It's possible you are making the balls too big. Try making smaller balls, that should help ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow ok thanks.. i will try that next time and get back to you... just want to say i love your videos.=)

  • hey i have a fan forced oven but who do i put the cookies on the oven

  • @MyComputerhacks Reduce the temperature by 10-20 degrees Celsius if you are using a fan forced oven ;)

  • how much celsius should i cook in the oven?

  • @cecility 200 degrees Celsius for 10-12 minutes :)

  • GOD DAMNIT. Why is it always in Grams? My butter has a measurement thing on the side and its in milliltres! >.< How much is 125 grams in cups?

  • @ashy13241 There is a measurement conversion chart available via a link on my channel page. The best way to measure unmelted butter is to weigh it ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Thanks. :)

  • Are these hard or soft/chewy cookies? If hard, how do you make them chewy? Please advise. Thanks.

  • @openuniverse2003 These are a cross between hard and soft. If you want them softer, cook them for a little less time. Harder, for a little longer ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Are you serious? You mean the only difference between hard cookies and soft/chewy cookies comes down to a matter of a few minutes less cooking time??? I find that hard to believe. Don't people add more butter or shortening to get the cookies chewy? Or maybe adding baking soda/baking powder?? There has to be some trick involved. Please advise.

  • @openuniverse2003 On this recipe, the baking time is the only adjustment you need to make. Other recipes may require additional ingredients or alterations to measurements, but for this one it's as easy as adjusting the baking time :)

  • that's too much butter for me. is there something I can substitute in the place of butter?

  • My ovens broke. :(

  • very nice

  • I LOVE TIM TAMS

  • "Buttah" Omg I looove your accent :)

  • its easier in minecraft!

  • Will this work with liquid butter/margarine as well?

  • can i use brown sugar only instead of both??

  • What he put on 1:38 ?

  • @MsFabulousguy the beaten egg, in a mug

  • How many eggs should i put is , two enough plz reply
