@kAyetOoth You can make Self Raising Flour by sifting together 1 Cup of regular flour (all purpose) and 1 Teaspoon of baking powder (makes 1 Cup of Self Raising Flour) :)
Dear John I followed your recipe today, although I used 3/4c of sugar in total they still turned out a lil too sweet. But doesn't matter, they were great.
Thank you a lot.
P/s: I've followed a lot of your recipes but now I realize maybe you'll be happy if I share the news with you. So I post here and hope they'll make your days.
us poor americans don't use the metric system, so its so confusing watching your videos. if god had intended us to count by tens he would have given us ten fingers to count on. :)
@richardsebreower There are plenty of conversion recipes out there. l use them all the time converting ounces and pounds to the metric system. LOL. Someone is always going to be confused but thankfully there are many great sites out there to help us. :)
You just gained a subscriber :P great video and those lazy ones, just use an online measurement converter and you'll figure out how much it is in cups. Simple. :)
i made my first batch of cookies EVER, i followed nestles instructions and my mothers instructions. as i was making the cookie balls my hands were so messy like I dipped them in quicksand. i noticed your hands were clean as a whistle while forming the balls. your cookie balls looked hard and smooth as well, mine were melty and sticky....
I was 120kilos now i am 90kilos I followed the easy to follow Dukan Diet... google it is just an unasked advise i started on june finished december 15th just 6 months ... thanks for the cookies recipie
heya im a big fan of your videos im only 14 and your videos have helped me make so much yummi food :) i see you have a cup that says timtam on it they are really yummi but i cant find them in ireland :/
my dough is super sticky and runny. i think it's because i melted the butter instead of just making it soft (i didn't know what soft butter meant at the time), is there anything i can do?
i wonder, I've just putten all the ingedrients together, and now i just have to add the chocolate chips... but my dough is so STICKY is that normal ? i got all the measurements right ( 1cup =250ml)
@Daweishagua btw i make them with my hands kneeding the dough. normally when you kneed do all the stickyness dissapears when the dough gets solid and takes all of the bits around your bowl and your hands away .. ?
I have never personally tasted a cookie that tasted as good as the ones that you get out of Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix from Ghirardelli. I have yet to try this recipe, but you REALLY need to try that mix. Truly amazing.
@Marderouvi Cover remaining dough with plastic kitchen wrap and keep in the fridge for up to one day. You could also half the ingredients and make less ;)
Since I'm a 15 year old boy, I've NEVER baked or did any thing in the kitchen (excluding sandwiches),
after i watched this I was encouraged to make cookies (I always wanted to), I waited until my mum left the house, gathered every thing, followed the instructions and i have to say that what I came out of the oven cannot be compared to your cookies, but still they're decent, the dishwasher is broken ._. oh crap.....
@aFinnsTheory well feel free to upload your own recipe videos if your dissatisfied with the american ones.but its really not hard to convert just type in measurement conversion in your browser internet search engine and wala tuns of sites to convert your measurements for you... its what i use when i want to use a non american recipe.
@Witchysis31 Im not dissatisfied, i'm frustrated, because they don't sell 'cup' measurers where I live. I have no choice but to convert cups into desilitres, and that's exactly where I suck at.
Great production for all your cooking videos. The cookies look mighty fine. The love of cooking really comes across plus great humour in videos. Keep the recipes coming !
dude i first tought tht it wnt work out has usual like every single choclate chip cookies i have tried.....my first batch was overdone i threw the whole thing away....than b4 baking the next batch i watchd the vid agn....tis time i allowed them to only become slightly brown ....immidietly i took them out ...and let them cooled....and WOW!!!....they are freaking awesome....CRUNCHY IN THE OUTSIDE AND SOFT IN THE INSIDE!!!....ITS EFFING FANTASTIC!!!
mmm... are they supposed to be soft? cause I am baking some now and they've been in the oven for about half an hour.. they are still a bit soft, haven't turned "brown" but they look delicious! <3
My grandmother use to add maraschino cherries chopped up to the mix and just a bit of the juice of the cherries she did it just to add a little something and they had a nice taste to them.
Can i use all purpose flour instead of self raising? and can i use a hand held electric mixer cause i dont have a mixer like yours... i'm asking this because some mixtures are not suppose to be mix so fast or too rugged if you know what i mean... and thanks for this recipe...
Hohoho! I don't need this, my friends mom making these cookies the whole time! And she make a relley big dough so she get's 100 cookies, THIS IS NOT A JOKE :DD I am so happy that my friend got a mom <3 xD
i've tried your recipe couple of times.. they are fabulous but they never become flat at the end.. they are sort of thick.. how do you make them be like these pretty flat cookies.. Thank you so much
@OnePotChefShow Are you serious? You mean the only difference between hard cookies and soft/chewy cookies comes down to a matter of a few minutes less cooking time??? I find that hard to believe. Don't people add more butter or shortening to get the cookies chewy? Or maybe adding baking soda/baking powder?? There has to be some trick involved. Please advise.
@openuniverse2003 On this recipe, the baking time is the only adjustment you need to make. Other recipes may require additional ingredients or alterations to measurements, but for this one it's as easy as adjusting the baking time :)
