  • I do not believe the "lost head" story. if you research the actual history, William McLain was murdered by Louis McBride. it is believed that the ghost is McLain, perhaps looking for his killer. maybe if people would stop playing video games all day and read some BOOKS and try a library rather than an arcade every once in a while. I like video games, but i do not live for them. i like the real world. its more fun. I do believe in ghosts, but i believe they are rare. this one i believe is real.

  • Stupid kids... 1.) No one lost their head..the silliest and yet most talked about b.s. regarding the light. . A man was murdered in the area of the light during the Great Depression. 2.) The light is real. I helped film it during the fall of 1994 for two guys w/ Unsolved Mysteries over two nights. 3.) It's not five trestles....it's not six trestles... It's SEVEN and no, it's not five miles.... maybe three to 3.5. It takes about 1.25 hrs to reach the light genius.

  • @texasnp kids having some fun.stop being a bitter old creep.

  • Gay, now if you people actually had recorded something worthwhile....

  • i believe in it

  • i cant see most of it

  • it was scary

  • G Town (Gurdon not gerdon)

  • What an absolute waste of time, I want my 3 minutes back. Seriously, why post the video at all, when it resulted in NOTHING? This should be entitled, "The Gurdon Light That We Never Found." And I like how the dunces are hunting for a light with flashlights. 9__9 Is the flashlight going to shed light on the light? LOL. Just like every video of something "supernatural": proof of nothing but a bunch of idiots scaring the piss out of themselves, and nothing more. LAME!!!

  • is this supposed to be the crossett lighht???

  • Two girls are hot tho

  • i just got back from the crosset light it was pretty cool.

  • Dear god when will people take this seriously ? If your reading this post, save yourself the 3minutes of your life and don't watch this video . They show nothing and panic at the end like children ,

  • i myself and some friends have went to the to see the Gurdon light 3 times.. and we only saw it the 1st and 3rd time we went. and it was DAMN CRAZY

  • I live there!!! lol yeah its acctually there but i do not buy that its a ghost.

  • what else could it be? they used to say it was the traffic headlights. but that interstate opened in the 1970s and there are MANY accounts of the light LOOONG before that. i believe its a ghost.

  • there's a light in texas with the same headless engineer story, called the saratoga light, also one in cali, and north carolina, they all involve swampy areas....so guess what....swamp gas. look up early lights, and brooklet georgia lights.

  • unsolved mysteries gave the swamp gas theory (when Robert Stack was host). But the New Madris Fault is in Northeast AR. Gurdon is in Southwest AR. There is NO way its swamp gas.

  • Swamp gas can exist in any wet and marshy area..methane and foxfire can come off of decomposing leaves etc. The light and saratoga was written in a city ordinance in 1907 cos cowboys were shooting at it. Definitely no cars down their either. Who knows what any of them are but they all involve wet marshy areas.

  • I went there before with several friends, a couple that have been there before. One guy that had been there before took us out there past the fifth creek crossin and we seen if instantly... he yelled at it sayin, "I found your head." and the light came from a few hundred yards to bein right there in out face... later on the light was probably 50 or 60 yards away from us and he said that again and it went past us and we could feel the wind off it as it went buy... if u get a chance then go...

  • I've been there. It's scary, but cool. I got seriously freaked out.

  • this vid sucks, wheres the light? I went before but diudnt know how far to go. gay

  • That guy iin the back seat with the cap on...he is HOT! I live in Arkansas so I'm not too far from his and I would come over and give him a piece of my glowing light! It definatley glows for him! Man, is he ever hot! I'd smell his ass!

  • didn't see anything

  • i wish Jason Voorhees wouldve jumped out and chopped them all 2 pieces.

  • if its swamp gas then how becomethis dosn't any where else like the southern states where swamps are everywhere.

  • i have seen the gurdon light over 23 times. it is scary. i go there about every weekend. u have to walk about 3 miles and cross 4 old bridges

  • The "light" is just swamp gas. Take a "Geology 101" course at your local community college if you don' know. I believe in swamp gas.

  • I live in Gurdon and this story is true.....and i have saw it 15 times you got to walk forever

  • i used to live in gurdon!!

  • do you think the Gurdon light and the Crossett light ever hang out?

  • That blonde in this video, I would love to smell her feet, and suck her toes!!

  • fuckin freak

  • i heard about a ghost story like this but it went by u see the light but as u get closer and closer it just keeps going back and in order to see the light u have to tap on the tracks in order for it to pop up in the distance.. this story was on a show once anyone know of this one?

  • I have been to Gurdon a few times. It is worth the trip. The light is weird and to see it you have to cross the forth bridge and go past the white rocks to where the dirt road crosses the tracks. Before going to the light, stop by the cometary on the left of the tracks. By the back tree line is a tombstone that says REAST IN PEACE. Remember Glowing eyes in graveyard = deer.

  • You guys are wimps ive lived in gurdon all my life the light is not scarey!

  • i want to go but i live in new york

  • man i live in Arkansas and just a few mintues from there and i never been :(

  • LOL.. i go all the time && it aint nothing to be scared of..

((haha now watch me go && something get me next time!!))

    LMAO

  • Wow. I live in Gurdon, so I kinda go a lot. Like Ethrilx3 said, you go past the 7 tressels, and there's a huge clearing. At the end of the clearing, I saw the light start to rise up right next to the tracks, cross the tracks, and float off into the woods. Pretty cool. Don't see why anyone would be scared of it. Lol I haven't been hurt by it, and I haven't heard of anybody being hurt by it.

  • i didnt really see any thing in this video so if any1 gets a better vid of it let me know thanx

  • I just went last night I was scared, we stay for and hour and i didn't no light.

  • I've went twice.. It was quite an experience. We passed 7 tressels and walked miles down after that until there was this big clearing. The light always stayed atleast 100yrds infront of us. We chased it to see if we could get close. lol But it never did....creepy..

  • lol i went just wednesday

  • I've gone out past all 6 or 7 of the bridges. Every time I go out there I end up walking up the tracks for a little over an hour. That's when you can REALLY see the light.

It won't "hurt you" or "get you" like they were talking about in the video, but it does put on quite a show. There are moments when it seems to be coming at you, though. It's really interesting.

  • My friends and I are going next weekend. Should prove to be fun.

  • I went there back in 2003 with a boyfriend I was with at the time and we didn't see anything but I was scared shitless

  • I went there back in 2003 with a boyfriend I was with at the time and we didn't see anything but I was scared shitless

  • nice video on Gurdon Light. I might one day do something myself on the Gurdon Light when I get the chance to go back there. I did Something on Gurdon, Arkansas it's on my page. also check out my lastest Video if you have timed.

  • greenbrier>vilonia

  • I believe the light when I go to heaven..

  • My grandparents live in Gurdon and they live near the rilroad tracks and we was all in the back yard and we saw it.

  • itgs lame because everytime someone actually gets some needed guts to go see what the light is, it ALWAYS has turned out to be a hoaxer with a flashlight. coincidental cases of the boy who cried wolf or the sole 'haunting' itself?

  • I've been 3 times and have seen it each time and have never seen a hoaxer. There were some guys who parked by our cars and spotlighted down the tracks, but that was behind us. Also, you can tell if it is a flashlight, as you can see a flashlight's reflection in the tracks. When you get as close as I have, you can tell if it's a hoaxer or not.

  • I have seen it before, but you have to be quiet or it cannot be seen. We banged on the rails, but were quiet, i only saw it maybe once or twice.

  • me and my three brothers traveled to gurdon. december 30th 2006 and walked several miles down the track. We began seeing a strange light that we can not explain. it seem to be sparks of electricty the light was always ahead of us to the west. it took the shape of a figure carrying a lantern or at least what we all thought. We filmed the light with two cameras but one with the actual footage quit working after that night. We never did see the light east when we were going back to the car.

  • If it's so lame, then why was it on Unsolved Mysteries??? I agree that this video is lame but the gurdon light... is not.

  • I have been deer hunting just south of Gurdon Arkansas off highway 67 for about fifteen years now. I have never bothered to see this strange mystery but I will go one of these days. There is a lot of strange things that goes on in the woods where I hunt that I cannot explain. I am not saying that they are related there are some strange sounds coming from these woods after dark. These noises will sometimes make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

  • Is it people having sex? lol

  • Wow...I must say your operation is the sorriest band of morons I've ever seen. Leave the paranormal investigating to those who know what they're doing.

  • "Hey light, where ya at?" This is a hoax. They spend the entire video with inane pratter about seein' the light (using flashlights to look for it, no less), then ends with them walking in the dark and the logo "do you believe in the light?" Pretty bad, pretty lame waste of time.....

  • Take a joke....life is too short to take everything so seriously all the time.

  • My Uncle Randy jerked off to this video twice

  • First of all, how would you know? Was you there watching, or did he just "share" this kind of stuff with you "orally".

Second, it was the blonde girl, wasn't it? Pervert!

  • Is this the same light that is Murphy road? I am not from Arkansas but my family lived there and moved to georgia. I still have a lot of family there, and if it is i know the real story behind it.

  • Hmmm...it sounded to me like yall were hitting the rails with rocks to "provoke" the light to show itself. It's what I've seen others do & sounds exactly the same.

  • We video taped this back in 2003 and you could hear metal banging sounds on the rail line in the video, but nothing when we were out there. This old short guy with a beard popped out of nowhere and walked us. He disappeared as soon as we saw the light up ahead, waving side to side like someone was carrying it.

  • When you get to the tracks coming from the interstate, walk to the right side tracks. To your left if you walk outwards there is an old 1800's graveyard where the dirt is starting to sink.

  • Heyme and my mom are going there!lol i cant wait!

  • lol. this reminds me of all my trips out to dover lights, which is also in arkansas. cool stuff!

  • I lived about 5 miles from Gurdon and my father-in-law was a train engineer in Gurdon. Not only has he seen the light but he's experienced it on a nightly basis. It's not car lights, it's not swamp gas, it's just something no one can explain. I've heard what the "light" supposedly is and it would make complete sense. So don't discount it because you haven't seen it!

  • what is the gurdon light?

  • stfu already!

  • ooh the accents are kinda sexy. lol

  • ...*sigh

  • I went with some friends back in 1995 I think....We saw nothing, we got tired of walking and the freeway is on the otherside so thta is probly "the light" everyone refers to?

  • I saw it back in November of '99... must say I'm disappointed that you guys didnt catch it on tape.. i was wanting to show my girlfriend she's never seen it.... now if i just remembered which track to walk down thats the bad part b/c i want to go back to it.

  • you walk down past the 7th tressle then you will see it

  • IM from arkansas never been to the gurden light but i wanna go

  • I went to the Gurdon light on Halloween 2006 and we walked to the 7th tressle. It took us a long time to get there, but it was worth it because we saw it. The only scary part of it was that people told us that there were some kids throwing eggs at people. They also had a paint ball gun; that scared me.

  • We went Sunday Oct 29th 2006 and saw it. No one was ahead of us on the trail. We saw it several times. Pretty interesting.

  • Went there a couple of times back in the 90's. Long walk, but well worth it if you want the sh*t scared out of you.

  • aahhhhhhahahahahaha
