  • thanks for releasing!!

  • BIlly ray cyrus is a fishing guide?

  • woww... i dont know if im ready to tackle a dino that size.. lol.. and to all people questioning bait, it kind of does matter where you live becuase of what theyre customed to eating. Ive lost a dino off sardine. And many catch them off roe, or grass/ghost shrimp...eel, or pile worm. goodluck. All this is common where i live

  • Holy. FUCK.

  • priceless!!!

  • what type of rod did you use

  • And I thought my 7 footer was big...

  • Awesome catch and release!!! Glad you let him go.

  • @mch006

Its illegal to keep them in Canada they're a protected species. I don't know why anyone would want to anyways they're beautiful in their own way. :)

  • @TheGoldenTeacher to eat, thats y. lol...

  • wen u are playin a sturgeon that size in a boat for over a hour you need a belt and the best bait to use is herring is the best bait to us and a little smelly jelly with the same sent never hurts.. we catch big sturgeon like this all the time in oregon on the willamette river

  • Now that what I call fish! Yep pers!

  • how long this take?

  • belts are for pussies. put that shit in your hip like a man next time.

  • Fake shit white boy

  • Thanks for letting us in on a wonderful fish story...and now you got PROOF!!

  • Awsome catch, but just think they can get over twice that length.

  • i Caught one that was 10 ft 5 inches out on the Columbia River By Astoria Oregon Last month the Fucker took 25 mins to pull in it was a fighter the whole way to the boat sadly had to throw back cause it was to big

  • Wow good job man

  • Thanks for the info

  • Since sturgeons are bottom feeders what do you use for bait? Also what is the range of white sturgeons? Awesome catch by the way!

  • @devinhester47 The sturgeon was caught on a golfball sized lump of salmon eggs whipped to the hook with bait elastic. I'm no expert on Sturgeon - just a holiday angler - so i couldn't accurately tell you the range of the white sturgeon. However from memory of my conversations with the guide Chris Gage i believe that in Canada and USA the Fraser and St Lawrence river systems are the places to try. Good luck if you get to have a go for them

  • @FishingBrian Can grow 2" to 45'

  • That is what I use for bait.

  • nice catch. How old you think it is.

  • thank you for letting her go. God bless u for respecting God's creatures life. Such a beautiful animal. bye

  • its damn huge!! how much market price for 1kg?

  • Thank you for letting him live.

  • A surprisingly short 25 minutes. Luck was on my side!!

  • how long did it take to wear the sturg out??????

  • That's alot of fishsticks.

  • very old fish. its refreshing to see someone get so much excitement and show respect to the fish at the same time. thanks you guys.

  • that is a terrible release your sopost to help the fish by back peddleing its fishtail side to side and when it gives a tug let it go

  • @xxzipitxx I take it you never handled a sturgeon then. They have no bone structure so they cant support their own body weight. So when you land one on shore you have to release as quick as possible to not hurt the fish. And that was a big fish weighing over several hundred pounds .... if it thrashed real bad in that shallow of water it would do alot of damage to itself. The guide released properly in the conditions he had.

  • @jeramie78 wow i posted a comment 8 months ago i never said dont release it quick nor anythingabout making it thrash, thank you for your input tho.

  • I went sturgeon fishing in Lillooet, I actually remeber being on that very sand beach where they caught it. got a 53 incher there, but got our bigger ones about a kilometre up stream.

  • Now ! that is one fish story for SURE WOW !

  • Hallo, es ist toll das Du diesen großen Fisch (Stör) hast schwimmen lassen!!!

    We love it !!!

  • Great fish. We catch em here all the time and they are very fun to catch. A fish that size will make your arm and back sore for a week lol trust me I would know.

  • Thought these fish were endangered so why are you allowed to fish them ?

  • @TheMyfancypants cant keep them but you can fish them

  • Now that's a monster!

  • fish of his life!

  • Do you know anything about fishing at Kamloops? First week of August, is that a good time, anyone? Can you suggest a river? or Lake? I prefer lake, I do not have a boat.

  • Hi Congratulations! Nive fish ... very nice fisherman, because you Catch and Release!!!

  • Why didn't his lines break! Dats thing look like it was born on 600BC dude

  • DO you ever find them dead that size or bigger?

  • Nice Catch.

  • what a monster!!! amazing!!!

Th@nks for sharing and the release :)

    Namaste

  • caught two 7ft plus fish on the fraser yesterday, both within a half hour of each other, was awesome

  • that is a really nice fish but I doubt it is 700lbs it is probably about 400. My biggest fish was 8 foot 1inch and I caught it in chilliwack across from tne upper bowman's bar

  • great fish :)

  • Nice fish - but tail noosing a sturgeon like that is a terrible practice!

It can cause irreversible or even fatal damage to the fish.

A professional guide and charter company should know better.

  • Hello FishingBrian, i want to catch some sturgeon but i don't know what is the bait to use. Please Answer :)

  • @shadowrslayer . Hi there, i'm no expert so i suggest taking the advice of a guide on what ever river you are fishing. My beastie was caught on a golfball sized lump of frozen salmon eggs tied on the hook with bait elastic. This was my one and only sturgeon fishing trip so researching on guideing websites would probably give you more info than i can. Good luck with your trip, Brian

  • Thanks a lot, and what a crazy fish, the bigger sturgeon i ever saw :)

  • @shadowrslayer Another good bait is just a worm and a shiner/sucker minnow head. Thats what I caught my 57, 13, 39, and 43 inchers. My friend got a 59, 54, 55, 53, and a 60 incher on that bait.

  • @Cooloioi Okay. and nice catches ! :)

  • My Dad has taken me fishing on the Frazer up from Hope....

    I t is amazing......

  • Will the one in my pond grow that big lol??

  • i'd guess that to be in the region of 400 pounds, great fish, great release

  • wow that was awesome!^_^

  • Nice catch. Planning a fishing trip around that area this august. Going for salmon, but wouldn't mind locking on to one of those bad boys.

  • CANADA with a "C" not a "K" dumbass

  • It is in Kanada. Nice that you release them! Catch and release-always!

  • @carpaholic70 Kanada lol

  • @carpaholic70 its illegal to keep sturgeon unless you have a native status card,

  • @carpaholic70 Canada*

  • @carpaholic70 i hope you intentionally misspelled the name of the 2nd largest land mass in the world...

  • nice fish bro, where did you catch it at

  • Nice release...THATS HOW IT IS DONE FOLKS...

  • What type of rod and reel was that dinosaur caught on. Great catch sir.

  • Hi J

The rod was a heavy duty sea/salmon trolling rod, the reel was a multiplier loaded with 130lb braid and the trace was 80lb mono with a 9/0 hook. We were fishing a massive slack out of the main flow in about 30 feet of water but still needed 18 ounces of lead to hold bottom. Bait was a golf ball size lump of salmon eggs tied to the hook. Suprisingly the fish only took 25 minutes to bring to the bank.

  • @FishingBrian dang normally it takes hours to get those behemoths to shore. of course this is a big fish, but it's a small sturgeon compared to what they normally are. around 15 to 20ft max, and over 1500lbs is no problem for a full grown sturgeon

  • the rod was an ugly stick i think

  • @Joiduckahoi

For the best of the best in rods check out my videos at sikus1965 or search on the web for Armbreaker Custom Rods

  • LOL @ 0:54 ... handfeeding water to the man on the rod. Real beauty.

  • thats one monster fish, good job!

  • that was fucken sick gj man handling that

  • that is one big fish!!!!!!

  • Awesome video - nicely landed and a wicked release at the end.

    5 Stars from us.

    Dave. DV Editor. BragNRelease.

  • Wow, great video. Man that look like fun, it must be awsome catching a monster strugeon like that one. I really have to go sturgeon fishing one these days. What kinds of rod and line of you using? Thanks for the great video.
