I like this particular batch of costumes, on account of it having way more then usual things I recognize in it.
I think it's partially because I'm not from the US and thus probably missed a few things that are well known classics in America. And partially because the Chapses seem to have some different tastes then I in entertainment, particularly music.
Although I gather alot of people don't recognize alot of costumes with these things.

"Plutis?! What is wrong with you dead people?! I don't wanna reanimate a corpse named "Plutis" doing my bidding! Doesn't any dead body with a good name around here wanna be reanimated with these jumper cables and pickled monkey fingers?!"
To get to the easter egg (as you probably know) just watch it on the official site then click on the poopsmith at any point when the KOT is talking about the carnivirous undead sheep
Green Goblin reminded me of something from Banjo Kazooie, and the Mad Monster-esque organ music helped
