Maybe to other players moving so gracefully fast is pleasing to the eyes but if your intelligent one, its better to prefer a nice execution even its not realistic at least you can appreciate each kicks and punch that a character performs. Slowly but surely my dear. Just an average speed will do.
@TheJesterEmperor Lol, Tekken's fighting styles maybe so exaggerated but they based them in real techniques. Martial arts like Judo, Taekwondo and Xiaoyu's Hikaken is also based in wushu w/c is a Chinese martial art. I know fighting games constructed one of these fighting styles but saying the word quintessential to DOA is like presenting a crime w/out enough evidence. Having a good quality in moves are good but think you need to be careful in choosing the right term.
Tekken is not about nudity unlike DOA. But you can see Lili's ass in Tekken 6 and buy clothes which make her half-naked kinda way. I think DOA and Tekken its really great games, but DOA is more about nudity. And Tekken is # 1 for me.
I say that Lili's better, but Helena doesn't suck it's just that I think that Tekken characters are overall better than DOA, but I'm a fan of all fighting games. The #1 fight that I want to see is Ryu Vs. Raven.

I own bot DoA 4 and Tekken 6. I prefer Tekken ciz I grew up on that series. But the main reason I play Tekken is because of the fact that the fightin is awsome, the storyline is well thought of, and the charcters have a sort of realness to them even though they r fake and some of them r not human at all

If you watch a person play tekken or even play it the characters are slow and clumsy. the slowest character form DOA is much faster than the fastest tekken fighter. and tekken being more real that is funny. Boxing dinosaurs, cyborgs angels and demons. Now tekken when it first came out was top of the line. Graphics and engine. The graphics have gone up. but they are still way behind with the engine. They need to up grade

@SquallLeon81 theres more variety in moves and the story actually makes sense in doa unlike in tekken plus its quite fake. real fighting doesnt include comboing someone when they are on the floor bouncing repetitively. yes doa has bounce, but their bounce is realistic as they come down to the floor with massive force, and the characters in tekken bounce higher then their oppentment when getting comboed. come on, people prefer tekken?
Deffo Lily, fighting style is more... vivid and her bridal outfit kicks ass by itself (though it wasn't in the video... T_T) And I think she's more beautiful than Helena.

@youchannel5 Everyone has their preferences. Soul series, Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat, the five big fighting game franchises. I only played games from the first three series I mentioned, but even those were very different - the Soul series mainly focuses on doing the right thing at the right time, DoA on combos and counters, and Street Fighter on well-placed specials. I sure am planning to play Tekken.

Unlike DOA, one or two tap of the buttons, multiple moves are unleashed that might be so annoying and complicated to play. Hence, only those noob players can appreciate DOA's game play. In Tekken, at least there were only a few characters that can be use for button smashing, Christie and Eddy and others are technically in depth when it comes to moves.

@wiseblast Starters in DOA can learn a simple move or average move by just tapping the buttons where in tekken it does really need some skills or time to master specific combos. I played DOA 3 Hitomi and the first time i used her, i was like an average player in no time (1 hour perhaps) compared to Tekken when i first used Xiaoyu and it took me 1 week to master her. I maybe didn't like the game play of DOA thats why i stopped playing it 'cause it bores me after playing for hours.

DoA1 was the first fighting game to have a counter system that used different button commands that corresponded to each different attack Besides DoA is intentually simple for as to rely on speed and reaction time.. And I don't remember if the original Tekken Tag had tag throws like the new one coming out, but when I the tag throw in the teaser trailer, my mind went to DoA.
@ZurBar8 Yeah DOA is good in dynamics when it comes to graphics but as far as the animation goes, it's a mixed bag. Sometimes it seems that the characters have something I'd describe as "gumby legs," while walking around or running. The basic controls also don't feel as smooth or as responsive as other 3D fighters, simply put. And i will still prefer that Tag system of Tekken from DOA any day. DOA might be simple but the speed really is a problem. Too much is just so annoying.

Maybe to other players moving so gracefully fast is pleasing to the eyes but if your intelligent one, its better to prefer a nice execution even its not realistic at least you can appreciate each kicks and punch that a character performs. Slowly but surely my dear. Just an average speed will do.

Martial arts like Judo, Taekwondo and Xiaoyu's Hikaken is also based in wushu w/c is a Chinese martial art. I know fighting games constructed one of these fighting styles but saying the word quintessential to DOA is like presenting a crime w/out enough evidence. Having a good quality in moves are good but think you need to be careful in choosing the right term.

@youchannel5 Everyone has their preferences. Soul series, Dead or Alive, Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat, the five big fighting game franchises. I only played games from the first three series I mentioned, but even those were very different - the Soul series mainly focuses on doing the right thing at the right time, DoA on combos and counters, and Street Fighter on well-placed specials. I sure am planning to play Tekken.

@wiseblast Well, if that's the case Tekken is still a strategy based fighting game. Unlike DOA, one or two tap of the buttons, multiple moves are unleashed that might be so annoying and complicated to play. Hence, only those noob players can appreciate DOA's game play. In Tekken, at least there were only a few characters that can be use for button smashing, Christie and Eddy and others are technically in depth when it comes to moves.

@wiseblast Starters in DOA can learn a simple move or average move by just tapping the buttons where in tekken it does really need some skills or time to master specific combos. I played DOA 3 Hitomi and the first time i used her, i was like an average player in no time (1 hour perhaps) compared to Tekken when i first used Xiaoyu and it took me 1 week to master her. I maybe didn't like the game play of DOA thats why i stopped playing it 'cause it bores me after playing for hours.

@ZurBar8 Yeah DOA is good in dynamics when it comes to graphics but as far as the animation goes, it's a mixed bag. Sometimes it seems that the characters have something I'd describe as "gumby legs," while walking around or running. The basic controls also don't feel as smooth or as responsive as other 3D fighters, simply put. And i will still prefer that Tag system of Tekken from DOA any day. DOA might be simple but the speed really is a problem. Too much is just so annoying.
