The Pains are more twee pop now than shoegaze. Their debut was more shoegazy, Belong has a much more cleaner sound. I still love the shoegaze element in it though. Check out The December Sound and the Vandelles, good shoegaze bands right there.

@fishnet4media I was really disappointed in the new album. It's really good and very catchy like the first, but I felt like the shift to twee was really half-baked. It's still a great album, but the first Pains album is one of my favorites of all time. BRING BACK THE FUZZ!
