  • Are you flexible, and do you have to be flexible? When I flare my legs are bent and I really try to keep it straightened and locked but is always bent. And I mess up at the end, when I'm coming around. I guess I sort of curl my legs in coming around? Reason for why I'm low rather high, but idk how to prevent it. help?

  • @peacebewu Its sorta a zulu spin. The one cloud does some people call it a kingspin and you can find tutorials on youtube but i dont like the kingspin tutorials. You know cause of bad audio and such

  • @pwningtoenail no chair flare is an advanced modification to the regular flare. the stabbing requires more complex understanding of the basic flare to execute.

  • @underworlddeptrai159 i say practice more. and just feel confident that you can do two flares. also when you're on the back and going the the front, swing your right leg forward and left leg up. (clockwise)

  • Props man real good vid I saw this video a year ago and it helped me get a flare tho yet I been wanting to get that high in the back do you recommend anything?

  • @TheBboymotionz when you practice them, as youre about to finish each round, lift your left leg as high as possible and when you complete the flare it should still be there. you should get high in the back that way.

  • @MSS7COMMANDOZ well, any core strength would be great and very helpful. if you dont have much core strength practicing flares themselves would help you develop the stability you need.

  • To do flare ,do you need to have strength to hold your body ?

  • @lolboy94 flares require more technique and momentum than strength. strength will help significantly. however, a weak skinny person can do better flares with lots of practice versus a strong buff person who lacks practice. strength will become more necessary when going for endurance/many repititions with the flare.

  • @PxQxP ok, for me i goes clockwise for my flare and the problem is i'm having difficulty kicking up my left leg(right leg for counter clockwise). is there anything i can do to overcome this problem?

  • @lolboy94 your legs should be decently spread out, at least 90 degrees. it is critical to push off your left leg right after the sweep, before you kick it up. try to keep it straight while bringing the left knee towards your face. and keep practicing and stretching.

  • @23RAIDa flares may be possible, the fitter you are, the more convenient flares will be. dont let weight stop you. be determined. flares are also good for cardio. good luck!

  • @vangsta1997 usually, if youre right handed youre ccw, if youre left handed your cw. just practice it the same direction you do everything else in

  • @vangsta1997 have all your weight on your left hand and place your right hand down. i use to hit the floor kind of hard when i place my right hand down too. just keep practicing it. remember the flare should not be rushed, every step must be done after another if that makes sense

  • Very good and comprehensive tutorial, its clear that you have used up alot of time and talent to create this tutorial for us;

    but for someone who has been TRYING to flare for like a year you forgot to mention one thing that alot of people cant flare without it:

    you said bring your buttom up, but it wont just go up on its own, the key is to push off the ground with your right arm when you are entering the rear part of the flare (CCW)

  • @BboyXposure np. keep them wide and high. the wider they are, the lighter and easier it is to balance. and just keep practicing. do you have a video of you doing it?

  • It's day 6 for me and I've been practising 1-2 hours a day and I've completed 1 full round only ONCE... it felt so good that I achieved something for such a small skinny guy like me, and in such a short time, but it all comes down to practise... I cant even windmill yet hahah... I'll give everyone a tip on their first round... on the second kick, kick you left leg DAMN HARD to your face cause thats the only way your right legs gonna sweep under without hitting the ground.   • @vixinvi sorry late response. i think it's common that right handers go ccw and left handers go cw. it doesnt matter as as long as the breaker is doing most things in the same direction, so they can combo

  • @bylcreem5 yes, a strong swing is very important, it gives you most of the momentum you need to continue the flare, the rest of the momentum is from your legs as youre continuing it. dont rush the swing so hard that it will mess you up. swing strong as you do the other steps correctly (pay attention to your nonswinging leg as well) =]

  • @koreankick93 it takes the longest to learn the first round then the few following rounds. after about 4, you understand the motion and try to keep going. it took me a while, about 1-2 years, but it depends how much and how accurately youre practicing for it. so it can take just months to get them down.

  • @mikcand put all your weight on your arms. try leaning back a bit. as long as your legs arent too heavy and hit the floor

  • haha no. i think a lot of people learn it that way. for me at least. it doesnt matter so much though. as long as all your things go the same way, it would be easier to combo.

    I learned to flare in 8th grade,

    and I was weak as eff xD

    you are obviously strong enough, you just need to stretch it sounds like, make sure you can do basically a side splits

    i myself am working on flares and im having troubles incorporating my hips into the momentum, it just feels odd but i am getting there
