  • oh my god theyre all so white!!

  • i love how goofy that girl looks

  • Make that 3 legends. don't underestimate Fred Newman and what he did for the old school sound effects industry look up Fred Newman 'A Rumination' on YouTube from the Between the Lions era.

  • Nice video, and nostalgic for me, takes me back to when everything that was coming out felt so new and vibrant. Another thing it reminds me of, was that back then, you had to be on point and have your shit together when it came to something like learning how to scratch, because there was no specially made cartridges to help you out (even if there was, we sure as shit wouldnt be able to have them)....and for a while, I thought direct drives were a myth or somethin lol

  • Dope! Two Legends who pioneered this whole thang! :))

  • I like that video

  • fucking punk ass Jew boy trying to steal some light from the masters. Fucking pathetic. some fanboys would consider him Beastie boy.

  • Black and White UNITE!

  • This is from a show on Nickelodeon from either 83 or 84(cant recall) called Livewire.I actually remember watching this episode. The host was named Fred something and he used to make all sorts of goofy noises and songs(kind of like the white Bobby McFerrin)The guy that likes Cookie Puss is none other than a teenage ADROCK from the BEASTIES.Nice footage.

  • @jsnholton No shit? Nickelodeon? Dang. Imagine that, a network marketed to kids actually showing something (relatively) new and interesting and thought provoking. Expanding young minds and introducing new ideas, not just slopping out BS. Remember Nick News W5? That shit actually made me think. I watch it now with my 9 year old and it's garbage (except Phinneas and Ferb, they're pretty cool)

  • - "it" referring to Nickelodeon today, not Nick News W5. I'm sure if I watched old clips of NNW5 it would still be interesting.

  • does someone know the year of this video?

  • lol this is awsome. where did u even find this!!!

  • when he shows her how to ride the beat he's basically fucking the little white girl

  • @djrakman__I had the pleasure of meeting Jazzy Jay in Santa Monica right after he performed at Zanzibar/Temple Bar back in '03. I thanked him for his contribution to hip hop, and he signed an autograph for me on the event flyer. He seemed equally as gracious to me to just be appreciated as such. This video definitely shows that soulful side of Jazzy Jay. I'll always remember that interaction with him fondly. What a cool dude. Today's hip hop artists could take a good lesson from Jay.

  • This is the type of music that inspires my music. Check it out on my youtube channel here: The333rd

Please subscribe and watch our videos!!

  • It would be the coolest thing in the world if the little girl in this video had turned out to be a DJ herself.

  • @Devestato72 what's that have to do with anything?

  • @jimmyrich1 A comment is generally a verbal or written remark often related to an added piece of information, or an observation or statement..............sooooo Do you have an idea now, of what a comment is?

  • @Devestato72 well what does your 'comment' have to do with..... actually, u no what, forget it...

  • That is DEFINTIELY Adrock pushin up the Cookie Puss. Schmooove kid.

  • @kevykev35 he looks like adrock but i think he is too young adrock was born in '66 the beasties were already around and in there late teens/early 20's by then this video is definately at least '84/'85 because they mention rock it which came out in '83 and honestly that kid looked too fucking straight to be a trashy/punky/rocky/hip hop band member/rapper/guitarist but hey i could be wrong

  • It looks like him, it probably is!

  • it is Adrock..asking him if he has heard the Beastie's debut,Cookie Puss.

    great video

  • This footage is great for many reasons. I think it is King Ad Rock asking about the Beasties' 'Cookie Puss' record. He has that sly smile while he's asking about it since he made the song he's asking about.

  • awesome

  • that kid who asked about cookie puss looks badly like "king ad rock" outta beasties...sure its not him?

  • some are not dangerous but i live in australia and most of them ere go looking for truble and start any one they see soo its only some of them that give all of them a bad name :P

  • I have that live recording on vinyl of those two DJing live called, "Killer Mix". Both created the DJing in the Hip-Hop culture.

  • Fantastic footage!!

  • do you have the video with jazzy jay and red alert when they were mixing live on the same show.

  • yo this is from livewire that used to come on the nick channel

  • Adrock is the king!

  • History of Hip Hop!!!

  • wow what a classic..this is a rare one for sure.

  • And another brief question from Sweep..

Is that a Rane TTM-57SL Jazzy Jay signature edition mixer Jazzy Jay is using?

Also were did he put his notebook? i'm having a hard time seeing it!

  • That mixer is the size of an air conditioner.
