'78 Les Paul on a Pink Floyd style track

What are you playing at 2:25 to 2:30? I cant figure our for the life of me how to play that. I know its in the 4th and 3rd position gminor shapes but cant get that fast run like your getting. Any help?

@Zephyrwood Thank you. This guy was a little biased against Gibson's for some reason. Some of the greatest songs in rock history have been on a Les Paul or some Gibson. Imagine Sunshine of Your Love on a Strat or Crossroads. To this day when Clapton plays a Les Paul or a 335 he sounds like he did with Cream but on a Strat he sounds like it is a chore for him to solo. I don't know why he plays them like he does. Now he has the Gibson Les Paul beano reissue he has been on a Les Paul lately.

Great tone what type of amp are you using, also I believe that a guitar player should master both Fenders and Gibsons they are so differnt tonally but they are still 6 strings babys.

@Stratomen88 I don't know about the 10 times better playability. I've never owned a Fender that felt comfortable to me and sold them all. My 2 Fender style guitars now are a Blade Texas Special (Strat style) and a G+L ASAT(Tele Style) that both have a12 " neck radius that feel more like a Gibson. Like the Fender tone just never liked that 7.25 or 9 " neck radius.

I found that if you use a very wide strap, it makes lugging these things around a bit more bearable.

She is a Pig , heavy as a dead Horse but it does have tons-o sustain. The PU's are DiMarzio X2N's.

Yes, i know how heavy they are although the action is the BEST..i haven't come across any guitar with the action of a Custom LP.

Well ,this Les Paul is 31 years old and the 335 is 30 years old. I don't want to take the chance on some drunk knocking one over or something like that on a gig. Besides after the work I put in that Epi it plays and sounds every bit as good as this old custom and is a lot easier on the shoulder.

Thanks Ashwin , I don't know if any licks that anybody plays are 100 % there own but yes I just made this up as I went along. I was just playing into a Line 6 POD 2.0 on the modern high gain model that I tweaked to my liking into the mixer directly into the camera mic input. Mike
