  • I noticed the Speaker said said he had to withdraw that term. What did he say that was so bad?

  • @Angryification withdraw from the floor of the House.

  • lol. Nice to see an MP who is genuinely willing to fight for his constituents.

Does anybody know what happened afterwards? It looked like he wanted to go and sit back down with it.

  • IRA loving scumbag!!! Fuck him, fenian loving bastard

  • @DelBluenose80

Well said that man ! He Mcdonnell is a cunt of the highest order and fuckin needs clipping!

  • Meh, he said the IRA were heroes. Fuck him.

  • IRA supporter the cunt needs cutting!

  • why does he grab that golden staff?? ive been trying to work this out for ages, and no-one can tell me why when MP's get angy they grab that?????

  • It signifies the Monarch's power. Without the Mace, the House is not fully constituted.

  • @stuart8496 Because without it, the house of Commons is nothing.

  • @stuart8496 it's only sitting in it's cradle in the middle of the House when it is in session, without it there the House has no ceremonial power. It's kinda like the key to the whole process. Symbolic but potent.

  • It's such a shame John McDonnel opted out of the leadership race. Diane Abbot is the alternative choice for lefties, but I prefer McDonnel.

  • Good you John, one of few politicians to stick to his convictions.

  • whos the guy at start of the video sitting down on the left who looks like a frog/ toad kind of thing?

  • good on him! one of the only MPs left in that party who still gives two flying fucks about the constituency he swore to serve.

  • LMAOOO xD!

  • Go on son!

  • Fucking brilliant, Hoon is a douche.....

  • He should of danced around the room with it that would of been very funny hahahahahahhaah

  • or duel the speaker with it.

  • @saqib78600 He did joke to me once that he should have hit Hoon with it :P

  • @saqib78600 ahahahah

  • About time someone with some Authority made a symbolic stand like this about a project that will devastate the local area. Being born and raised in Hayes I've met John McDonell a few times at a few meetings and wasn't surprised that this reaction.

  • Mcdonnell should have the respect of us all. He's not afraid of standing up for what is right, even if he had to stand alone. This is what we need in this country as you can well see our rights and freedoms are being taken away under this government.

  • Obviously Mr. McDonnell is a politician of conviction, how very refreshing! Though the deputy speaker was right to 'name' him.

  • So funny, he should've twatted Gordon Brown over the head with it.

  • That's an amusing notion but unfortunatly theres 2 problems with that. 1 Brown wasn't there and 2. McDonnell is a Labour MP so he'd be atacking his own party leader

  • He should have hit him with it!

  • A national disgrace in planning terms. This money should be spent on a more efficient high speed rail network.

I think he was right to pick up the mace.

  • 3 cheers for mcdonnell!
