Chad Kent (The Drummer) is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up if you agree with this!
@mackaus1 I actually believe, with no denial of chikendoodad's opinion, that it may actually have more to do with love as a battle. Dancing is considered a cousin of fighting because both involve strategy with an opponent. When they say that pure blood is dripping away they talk of innocence of love being lost because of war and how they thought it would prevail but it slipped away or died. Love tends to cause more pain and loss, whether intentional or not. Mothra battles for good...
@cheezyandgreasy if you like tool you would like ISIS and cult of luna i think though they yell/shout more because it's post metal.. ISIS was out long before TOOl was though ;D
@BDean97 Yeah Isis sounds a lot like Tool, only more atmospheric. I don't think Cult of Luna sounds like Tool though. Karnivool and Cire are two other bands that sound like Tool, you should check them out (although they're not post-metal, more prog rock/metal).
@BDean97 Yeah, I'm not a Tool enthusiast, I kno there were alot of bands that were b4 Tool that had that Nu-metal sound or whatever. I personally am not into shouting or "Kill the family, Eat your face" music. I jus like gud musicaa
@cheezyandgreasy Tool is not a "Kill the family, eat your face" band. And they're neither nu-metal, they don't shout much either. And for as far as I know, Tool have a pretty unique sound, inspiring this band for example :P
@Cystlib What? You repeated exactly what I just said. I LIKE Tool and I kno who they r I listen to them all the time. By not being a "Tool enthusiast" I meant I don't obsess over them but I like them alot. Yeah you can totallllyyyyyy see traces of Tool in this band, but no one believes meh :( haha
@cheezyandgreasy I misunderstood you then, I thought you meant you thought Tool was an agressive nu-metal band that shouted a lot and had a "kill the family" attitude.
@cheezyandgreasy Yeah it's the whole stoner rock sound to it and the fact that they wrote a song about a giant fake looking Japanese moth from the 60's Godzilla movies LOL. In my opinion the bass at 1:22 sounds A LOT like TooL.
The original guitar player died in 2006, the remaining members are recording under Watership Down, they're original band name. Very impressive even as a trio. One of the most overlooked bands from the south.
Dude why comon why this band it was so good but i broke up one of the good ones that just couldnt stay i guess add it to the list (system of a down, sub, etc)
Joey Culver is the shit... too bad he left... and with the death of Nathan Slade, the band just doesn't have it anymore. Good thing this album never gets old for me.
It's a shame people can't recognize true talent. >_> This guy has a mad unique voice and yet somehow Justin Bieber or however the bloody hell you spell his name is far more recognized... Shame shame. At least I have Atomship's album to stroke. :3
@BuddiBunni I agree, this singer is awesome. The good thing about the Bieber thing is that people won't even know who he is in 10 years. This music won't get old, his "music" will, as well as the rest of the crap on the radio.
@05832409 Yup! Mothra is one of the reoccurring characters in the TOHO Godzilla franchise. She has been known as Mothra, The Thing, and in GMK, Mothra : God of Water.
Wow .. its all i can say about this song .. just very unbelievable .. teh drummer kicks ass in this song .. the vocals were on point .. this song changes sooo much on different but yet awesome ways .. this band has one hell of a gift !
It really hurts to know that they will never release a sophomore album. Nathan was a very creative guitarist and he will be missed. I just hope we get to hear more from Chad in the future. I will always hold The Crash of 47´ close to my heart.
wow i have only heard a few of their songs it took me forever to find them and figure out who they were i wanted to give the music to my uncle who works in a record label company

If anyone would like to comment, let me know if you too think that there are aspects of Mothra or Atomship in general that resemble Disturbed, I would appreciate it very much.
haha the only thing sounding anything nearly like disturbed is the shouts somewhere in the beginnung... nothing else... somehow like tool a bit but aside from that they have a pretty fucking unique style... or had... didn't they even make another album as atomshipdown? only heard some other songs on myspace but they were nothing like crash of '47
