That's because the anime is very new and not almost 20 years old. The Japanese made these live action movies dating back from 1991 to 2001. It stopped back then more probably from the rising popularity of Initial D along with the creation of the Professional Drift D1 Grand Prix series in 2001.

In the U.S., it's JDM Option volume 5 Touge Ika-Ten with Wanga's Chiba-Kun in an all RX-7 Cannonball Run with Orido making an appearance in the race in his Supra. And the pink car is actually an RX-7 FD3S, all I know is I've seen that particular model of the FD in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero.
