I've a question. I'm always confused when it comes to Thai grammar. For example, "wan neung" and "neung wan". วัน หนึ่ง and หนึ่ง วัน.....how do you translate that in English and what is the difference? Thanks.
1 day = 1 วัน (หนึ่งวัน) i.e. I am going to Phuket for one day. = Chan ja bpai Phuket 1 wan ฉันจะไปภูเก็ตหนึ่งวัน
In spoken language we can say "วันนึง" instead of "หนึ่งวัน". Please notice that it is the word นึง [nueng (middle tone), not หนึ่ง [nueng (low tone)]. So you can also say Chan ja bpai Phuket wan nueng ฉันจะไปภูเก็ตวันนึง

there are two negative form for "bpen" is [1] mai-chai [2] mai-dai bpen. For disease we use 'mai-dai bpen', kao mai-dai bpen ma-reng.

วันหนึ่ง is written language for วันนึง They both means 'one day'. It is often use to start a story like 'One day, the princess met a witch'.
