hey I have a wierd question for you: what would happen If I call a Korean Chinese or Japanese and viceverse a Chinese Korean or Japanese,Japanese Chinese Korean? sorry for the mess :) by the way... are you North Korean or South Korean (I'm Not racist ok?)
I'm glad I don't make the adjective mistake. My pronunciation is also pretty good (I have a talent for accents). I need to work on listening comprehension and increasing my vocabulary.
korean grammair is so so diffrent from english .... i m really confused , it s almost 5 months i m studying Hangul very hard ... my San seng nim told me my accent is funny , because i m Iranian and my language is so so diffrent =))))))
When I've spoken with many Koreans, I've noticed there's often some confusion between bored/boring fun/funny and I don't know how many times I heard: Ian, these days I'm so boring. I think that the hardest part about speaking Korean, remembering to speak with 존댓말, sometimes I forget. But it's ok usually they can understand that I'm learning and a foreigner. I think the hardest part is using the right expressions. When I write, sometimes Koreans have told me the sentences or expressions are weird
@IvyCandanedo Strangely, this is also the example I picked when a friend of mine asked me to say just one thing in French to the kids I saw when I have been to a kindergarden in DaeJeon. It doesn't matter which language you talk, the pretty flower looks to be our brain favorite. lolol
@GrovesSan that's really offensive of you, you know. saraur2cute didn't even have any grammatical errors or spelling errors. and even if he/she did, there's not need to bash them.
@caldevera I'm not Korean, but I've attended college there for 2 years, and from what I can tell, whether it's technically 'wrong' or not doesn't stop it from being used a lot. I think it's really common when there's two opposite parts of the social hierarchy working at once, for ex. a taxi driver speaking to a young customer (s/he has to use formal language because the business situation and because they're strangers, but can use a 'lower' form of formality since I'm so much younger).

@caldevera It might also be used when two people are a couple years apart in age and not close enough yet to fully switch to banmal, but still kind of close so they lower their formality a little. It's so complicated ><
this is great! thanks :D i can relate to the formality levels thing. i sometimes mix them accidentally, but more often it's a question of what level to use when talking to people. maybe i'll ask it and hope it gets rated up ^.^
Ughhh, online dictionaries are near useless I find. Awesome video. I've started to get a little more serious about learning the language. I gotta get down on some TTMIK

Helpful! I'm glad that I understand the don't-mix-adjectives-and-verbs thing. :D
And LOL at "I am boring"! But I've heard a lot of English-learners say that, so it's not a big deal :)

Hi, if "nae" is formal for "yes", what is the informal?
WooyoungBias 1 month ago
@WooyoungBias informal would be 응 "eung" or 어 "eo/uh"
In my experience, people use 응 more when they write, but when they speak, sounds like 어. I'm not a native speaker, though. :)
erini06 1 month ago
@WooyoungBias i dont understand korean, but i watch a looot of korean stuff, but i know that yes can be also "de"
ex: are u great?
- de.
hm, understood?
nicollebub 1 month ago
@nicollebub Well, it's actually "nae" but can sometimes sound like "dae".

I'm a beginner. And I already knew about descriptive verbs, it's so easy, you just have to WANT to learn korean. 연습할수록 잘하겠어요.
