  • I love James. I loved him in the play even more. He's the funniest one.

  • we are waching this movie

  • lol from the begining of this and the end of part 4 when james sawl her locked in the room i thought it was going to turn into a porno XD i would

  • James is a asshole

  • @xxAsherBabexx he is funny

  • Key here is teaching her effective communication. Communicology the study of communication.

  • james irks the hell outta me -____-

  • helen may b blind and deaf, but she seemed to learn a few tricks...she is very smart..not dumb how can her father and brother not see that

  • who ever played helen is great

  • I wish we still dressed and made our hair like that. It's so much more pretty and classy. Now we wear skimpy skirts that show off our butt and make us look like sluts.

  • Mammy at 0:13 lol

  • 1 person is blind and deaf

  • Wow she was smarter then me when i was six good hiding place for the key

  • I understand that the Captain didn't understand how this process works, but that doesn't stop me from being upset that he was saying it was Anne's fault for getting locked up in that room. Helen did that, she didn't tell her to do that. And of course she wasn't going to learn to behave in 5 minutes. Children being disciplined at 2 without a life of being spoiled don't even learn that quickly.

  • I just want to reach into the screen and strangle James.

  • why didnt she let her go down the ladder by herself?

  • @purple2567 If he had people would have seen a little up her dress. During this time period seeing a womans ankles or legs was not appropriate so even with a long dress there still would have been concerned.

  • @purple2567 What DisWldFrk said but also.. Sullivan has impaired vision. And as we've already seen that family hasn't one sweet clue how to deal with someone who is disabled..

  • LMAO, THE BLACK FAMILY!!!

  • james is a jerk

  • Guys, this takes place after the Civil War and slavery was abolished. A lot of rich white families still kept colored people on as their workers if they chose to stay, but they were no longer slaves.

  • Comment removed

  • @tyreeishot ya but they didn't didn't make them slaves and they didn't whip them

  • at least they are nice to the black people!

  • @strawberryyogurt29 yea so nice they made them servants...............think about it dummy

  • "you little devil!" how can helehn be soo smart and bad if she lives in a world of dark and silence????????

  • @spongebob123987 Ask anyone who knows about Helen. She was naaaaaughty

  • @spongebob123987 because, especially once she learned to communicate, she was a LOT smarter than any of them but anne realized

  • Only in Disney movies would the masters actually say "thank you" to their slaves.

  • @MiSSannaira They actually in real life were nice to the slaves.

  • @19kitfox Your ignorance makes me laugh.

  • I have a niece who was born blind , and can only hear out her right ear. She's 1 years old now, but she is a handycap kid. She was born with her hand crumbled, so she can pick things up. Please keep her in pray. Her name is Keyshia Patrice Morvin

  • @PrEtTySiMSiStA i will :)

  • @PrEtTySiMSiStA i am so sorry, give her my love please.

  • I have 2 say these parts aren't very long however, I'm gr8ful it's up! This is my absolute favourite version!

  • I love this movie

  • These phony southern accents are so annoying.

  • @starrynightz they don't sound phony. I've heard people speak like that down here...in the south. There are all kinds of southern accents. It just depends on which southern state and what part of that state the person is from. You must also take into consideration that this movie takes place quite a while ago and southern accents were a little different at that time. Now people relate southern accents to mostly what I call a redneck accent. No offense meant to rednecks of course.

  • @lysjocksan Jesus Christ!! Who gives a shit???

  • @oblamoblows I would assume that the people who comment on the situation care...welcome to the club. It was just a comment dude. Don't freak out.

  • @starrynightz ur an idiot

  • Helen kick james in the balls no one is going to be mad XD

  • james should be struck blind and deaf himself! WHO'S LAUGHING NOW JAMES!

  • @heyheymister i am :) lololololololololol

  • Anne was right, Helen is the only bright star in that house, the mother is a gullible ninny, the father is a loud, bossy, jerk and James has his heart in some good place but struggling to get through the day.

  • @orlandobabe I only wonder who is really blind and deaf in that family.Helen's deaf and blind sure, but her father is deaf too to the distress of his wife and doesn't want to see helen needs help.In fact helen was the brightest of all,she had more sense than all the kellers. In real life many people are deaf to other too and shut in their world, unable to communicate, handicaped of the heart.Helen wasn't.

  • james is kinda a jerk but damnit hes funny as hell, and in some ways, charming ;-/

  • james was a bitchy ass hole but dats excatlly my type lol i would date him

  • James is awesome... I'd watch a show just based on him.. hahah...

  • James may be a jerk, but he sure is a funny jerk xD

  • i could smack hellens brother...

  • ooh! yay! it lined itself up with the sound a little better...

  • This is a real life Esther.

  • LOL put that ladder away James. *two seconds later* James bring that ladder back!

  • james was a compelte asshole i bet he was jealous of helen and had a crush on helen teacher

  • Helen is a bright girl and a fast learner even if she's deafblind...it looks like she really wants to learn...

  • omg she put the key in her mouth lol

  • how did she know when people was next to her?

if she cant hear or see ?

  • She can feel the vibrations people's feet made when their feet hit the ground

  • oo... yea common sense wouldve told me that... lol

  • @shorrtness323 She could feel people's feet vibrations but she also recognized people just by their smell. For example, she recognized her mother by her perfume and clothes, and she also was aware of the atmosphere around her.U mustn't forget that hearing and sight are not the only senses. There is also sense of smell, taste, and touch. And sounds that only deaf people can hear.

  • @ThornyBlueRoze13 like Toph

  • @ThornyBlueRoze13 XD! Toph!

  • @ThornyBlueRoze13 she's like Tof in Avatar the last air-bender

  • @shorrtness323 she can feel it thats what the blind nd deafs talent we dont have

  • Is the 'Captain' Helen's father? If so, why the hell would his wife call him Captain.

  • @Nine00 haha i think bc women back then were expected to treat their husbands with a great amount of repect. calling him captain which is a title of honor would be one way of doing that lol

  • why did the worker call him jimmy then?

  • ya he is...weird though ...captain :P

  • Her father was also in the war with the rebels between the states.I had no idea until I read "Miss Spitfire" which is about reaching Helen. Not trying to be a know-it-all sorry! Lol

  • @Nine00

Respect. Helen's father was a confederate army captain in the civil war. And since Kate married him it is out of respect as a19th century wife to call him "captain" most of the time. Once in a while, as you can see she will cal lhim by his first name "arthur".

  • So I take it all the men in that family were jerks then.

  • @minastone aint that the truth ahaha :)

  • @minastone many men in that time period thought that women were inferior and not worthy of good manners. They ruled the house . but also think of the strain the family had to go through trying to handle Helen. Look up the version of the movie that has patty duke playing helen and you will see that they really cooled down the fathers part.

  • ahh the good all key in the mouth trick. I read that when helen wasn't educated she loved t o pull mischeif. Even though she didn't know right from wrong she had a bright monkey like mind. And had a devilish mind also
