I found a way better place to soul farm. Go to the first bonfire in Ariamis Painted World; after you have opened the big wooden door, just keep killing the spear throwing blobs which rally around the statue. The forrest gives you about 7700 souls per turn, and the blobs give you 8000+. They also take less time to kill (with the right equiptment) and its more fun. I did this for about 2 hours made 3 million sous ^^

I have a farming technique for mage builds only that gets me 3000 souls every 40 seconds. You need to get the Soul Spear spell from Big Hat Logan for 40000 souls (36 int to use):

1. Warp to Princesses Chamber

2. Unequip your armor (for speed).

3. Fall off the edge instead of taking elevator for speed. (shouldn't kill you)

4. Fire two soul spears in quick succession at the Royal Sentinel enemy standing in front of the doorway for an easy kill.

5. Return to bonfire, rinse and repeat.

@raymond6656 Just save up from beating enemies and make sure you do not die. Try to find a place where you can beat the monsters easily. One place to get a decent amount of souls is at Anor Londor and beating the giant knights, they give I believe 500 souls per defeat.

if you need to farm for the 20k to get the seal, go down the path from the door to where the 5 stone knights are, kill everything there, then reset. it took me about 30 mins to get 20k there, then once i got the seal and opened the door it took me about 5 mins to get 25k back

A decent way for getting the 20k souls to buy the key:

Where the bonfire is by the ladder you kick down in the undead area, climb up it, and go up to where the dragon is. Attract the dragon's attention and quickly run back down the stairs before it incinerates you with fire. It will almost always kill all of the skeletons up there, giving you 300 souls. Jump back down to the bonfire and repeat; each trip should take less than 45 seconds if you're quick.

@TheKirbyMorph If you're at a lower level, by the time you get all of the arrows required to kill it and spend the time trying to take out this dragon that heals itself, you would have more than likely collected the 20k souls already using the farming method I suggested. While you can use a glitch to kill it almost instantly (by shooting it from the nearby black knight's watchtower I believe) you would still have to find another way to collect the other 10k souls.

People claim that doing that will give you 600 souls per minute, which is 34 minutes of doing that. Where is the fun in that? I get more per minute spawning in the forest, and killing the set of ambushing plant creatures which also gives me drops. Sure, if you're lower level you can do the dragon trick, but it's so cheesy. x_x

The ones you have to worry about the most are the cloaked ones, it prevents lock on, and makes them much harder to see from a distance, when I was first starting out I just moved them towards the edge and kicked them off

I have a +2 enchanted longsword now though, and I manage to run my blade through the solid 3 pretty easily.

I can't stand those forest covenant people though, can't make it to the boss door w/o someone invading me, and the black stone shard doesn't work on them

Sometimes they drop right by you, you only have to face the direction they're jumping off of, let them hit you ones (you block), they get deflected and fall off.

Maybe its only me they drop by me, cuz im a very slim thief.

@vilvethope Have you gone to the door in undead burg that leads to the sewers? I think you get the key to the door by beating the Capra Demon. Anyways, in there look around he is in a room full of giant barrels. You have to break the barrel to free him. After that return to firelink shrine (The area where you start the game after the tutorial) he will be at firelink sitting down and you can buy spells from him.

@vilvethope You gotta save the magician dude. He's in the depths, at the very starting part with the two butches. The one that jumps down and ambushes you is guarding a door, go through that door and he's at the back trapped in some of the barrels. Once you save him, and complete the depths i think, he'll appear at firelink shrine.

@vilvethope The pyyromancer you save in the depths has it (the one that's in a vase in the Butcher room) , you have ot make sure to free him that you roll into the vase, if you hit it with a weapon you will kill him instead and thus get none of his spells or training.

@vilvethope Where the bridge that has the drake in the beginning of the game, on the side where Soltaire is, there is a locked door. you get the key from the big gate near the gargoyle boss fight and go down, through the little village with assassins and their dogs, fight the capra demon for the key to the Depths. Inside the depths is the first pyromancy trainer. to free him, roll into the barrels DONT swing your weapon or youll agro. once saved you can meet him at firelink

A time consuming (due to travel time) but easy way to get the 20k souls.

-Use Bonfire shown in vid, travel down towards boss path and kill the treefolks there (100 apiece for 300)

-Travel to Darkroot Basin killing the treefolks along the way (400)

-Travel down to the Water Hydra boss, lure the ice giants to you towards the hydra, the hydra's water cannon will kill the giants for you (200 each x4).

This run generates 1500 souls per trip, just travel to the bonfire to begin anew.

[Battleguild]

An easy way to aquire 1800 souls and the Grass Crest Shield in the same area.

-Travel to Darkroot Basin, there is a Black Knight with a poleaxe.

-If you travel past him towards the corpse he's guarding you can claim the Grass Crest Shield (bonus to stamina regen)

-Lure the knight to the Hydra area (easier if you deal with the Ice Giants first, use farming method for this).

-There is a barrier he can't pass there, just use arrows/magic to slowly pick him off. Easy 1800.

It's by the blacksmith, you will see a giant evil statue trying to kill you, run by him and then go foward down the gardens and you will see a door with a blue lights coming from it, it's right there and the bonfire is hidden to the left of it, attack the wall to reveal it.

@strongpass It's just passed the blacksmith where you'll find a bit lightning demon. I have a video on how to kill him easily too if you want to take his drops.
