Actually Andy was the second bass player, they had a guy before him on a rare release called Amore'. If you can find that tape, get it. There are versions of this song and some others from Nervous Nights and some other songs that were great.
Good question! I'd like to know too! That was the name of their first bass player right? Saw these guys play at a small club in Lexington Ky. (I can't remember the date, but, I think it was around '89, and that club no longer exists)Fran was playin' the bass. They played till well after midnight! Incredible show and sound! Probably one of the best shows I've ever seen!
Only one that I think even comes close was Warren Zevon, at this same venue, in the early nineties!
it appears that the hooters are really big in germany from the search results. i used to go and see the hooter alot back in the day. at the chesnut caberet, the 23 east and the ambler caberet. pierre robert would always be at their shows all fucked up . dancing and bumping into everyone.
saw these guys at Upper Moreland High School in 1985 and in Greenville, South Carolina in 1989. Met the drummer at a a health club in 1992. Great memories and good people!
I'll be seeing them black friday '10 at the electric factory.
Can't wait

First bass player was Bobby Woods, back when John Kuzma was still in the band, too.

Oh yes, they are. And they know it. It was here that they started touring again in 2003. And they always sing a few lines in German.
Actually, I saw them just three days ago in Mannheim and they were fantastic.

Remember the Hooters Prom contest from MMR?
Our teachers let us sit there filling out those stupid cards during homeroom, study hall, whenever.
