Haha, me too. Shotguns are a favorite, but I guess they felt it'd take away from Isaac's Engineer image and make him look more like a Marine. Still, the force gun pretty much works like the shotgun, and it is my favorite weapon.

Depends on which zombies your talkin about. The old, slow ones, or the new, running ones that can hear for miles and smell blood. Slow ones, shotgun, sure, but when you have little time to load up a shot, and you only got 6 shots in your barrel, eh.

Ah but the same could be said for an M16 or some form of machine gun, you would think by this time in the future they would have made shotgun CLIPS instead of just one bullet at a time, it'd be pretty handy in such a situation.

I guess. But the thing is that the bullets are so large for a shotgun, a reasonable sized clip could only hold 3 to 5 shots. I think that a shotgun in a zombie situation would be good for small amounts or with plenty of ammo that you don't have to lug around, or else you'll be weighed down with about 100 shots. A machine gun would be a sorta single shot deal with the bullets taking up less space, but not as much of a crowd controller as a shotgun. Best option is a sharp light long melee weapon.

They have this new shotgun called the AA-12. Not only can it hold machine gun-size clips, it can fire fully automatic. I kid you not, this gun was on the Discovery Channel show FutureWeapons, and if Issac had that thing, he would be tearing these monsters a new ass.

That sign is actually one of the few signs that have the alien alphabet translated. So if you're extremely hardcore (or bored, your pick), you can jot it down and decipher the entire ship. I'm still not sure if someone has made an effort to do that yet.
