nargacuga = dual blades (again)

barioth = gunlance & SA

Tigrex = GS

Agnak = lance & gunlance (melt up agnaktor armor)

gigginox = LS & hammer (head)

uragaan = hammer, horn, and Gunlance (to break chin/jaw easily)

hi ! im kinda stuck at the h5 gigginox quest .I tried to do it with a SA(the only kind of weapons that i have at the moment ). Now im thinking about trying to do it with a lance cuz in mhp3 they look fluid in movements and very usefull(in unite i used lances only at the training school ).,Do u recomend eny laces or other weapons mayby ? im hr9 in unite soo il take a complicate answer:) .Hope u answer.

@action298 Try out some fire weapon and it should do pretty decent damage against Gigginox. A fast weapon or a weapon can block is recommended yea. Lance would do really nice and you're right, they're much more mobile and flexible in this game than Unite (it started to be much better in MHTri).

Otherwise you could also try a fire SnS, they're pretty nice too against this guy who can be a little annoying with his poison attacks. You can easily use Antidotes without sheathing with SnS.

Something i did not like about monster hunter tri was that most monsters were weak to fire literally like 2/3 3/4 of the boss monsters. I hope the portable series  is a bit more spread out it will make different elemental weapons more even

why you not use the charge attack of Lance when you had every opportunity??.is it more stronger to use the triple triangle or triple circle attack instead??

Charge is lance's weakest attack. It's only good for status.

red quru's a high rank monster right? so why is your lance only green sharpness? did you not bother upgrading it or is is the highest level frost lance you could get?

@taimoortarafdar Yes, I hadn't hunted enough Barioths to make a higher rank frost Lance. I just wanted to hunt him early and upload to YouTube.

I've been hooked on MH3 for the past month and the Qurupeco is my favorite monster. I can't decide whether or not I would choose Red or Green Qurupeco for a pet (in real life I mean). Probably Red since as far as I can tell it's "higher level", but don't quote me on that.

@coelamon By doing quests for your Hot Spring, you can upgrade it and when you take a dip in it, it will increase your stamina and health.

meh it summoned the easiest one against you(Green naruga), everytime i do this bastard alone he calls a god damn Jho

@ZeroShikiRev Actually Green Nargacuga is much faster than Jho, I've killed Red Qurupeco together with Jho before. Jho is much easier to block his attacks and I just use Dung Bombs to get rid of him, like I did with Nargacuga.

I actually have more "problems" against Nargacuga than Jho (problems as in they interrupt my focus on Qurupeco).

@Naeryu the problem with Jho is mainly his damage, naruga is pretty low on that but Jho hits like a truck

@Jewishho12345 Heh, thanks. It sure was a tough one. All these guild quests are balanced for 4 players. So they sure have a lot of HP and stronger attacks.

@NarugaVSTigarex Actually it's normal Agnaktor. I gemmed it with guard gems. So it got Razor Sharp, Guard +2 and Critical Eye +1.
