  • mei sinhala apage ratai.. apa ipadena marena ratai...

  • My Tamil DNA, inherited from generations before, and the genes lined up along it, have now been analyzed: 99.99 percent the same as a Sinhala fellow’s 99.90 percent the same as a South Indian Tamil’s, 99.00 percent the same as that of a chimp. To the chimp, I give bananas, From the Southie I learn to make Dosas, With the Sinhala chap, I have picked a fight! Dr Mahesan Niranjan
  • @Ezycalm Fuck u ass sinhalse are not tamils

  • How strange! I say, It cannot then be, the genes of my Tamil DNA. Modern Biology readily explains, function not just in them genes it claims, but from the way of their control: Turned ON and OFF when, why and where in space and for how long. Not the genetics of what came from past, but the epi-genetics of regulation, the Here and Now of their manipulation. Oh, Historian! Do come to my rescue. Why hast thou not seen an epi- too? Dr Mahesan Niranjan
  • Sinhalease only live in Srilanka. There is no terrorism in this song.

  • BTW people Sinhala is another name for Sri Lanka, like Ceylon, Taprobane, Taprobana, Thambapanni, Thammanna... etc. its not only used to refer to a particular ethnic group.

  • Sinhala Extremists national anthem

  • Yes this beautiful island belongs to Sinhalese who civilized, cultivated, cultured and developed through thousands of years. Other nationals who came to the island naturalized and lived with harmony before western invasion that changed the demography. Just like today thousands of other nationals migrate to the US but no one can keep their originality more than a generation. We all, Tamils Sinhalese, Muslims all lived in harmony under Sinhalese rule. We even had Tamil kings in Kandy.

( A criminal Song )

  • @Devakajaya A country belongs to those who civilized it; in SL it's Sinhalese no one else. Most countries in world got divided on that principle. What's the identity or signature of Tamils and Muslims in SL? Other races can co-exist only if they accept that reality. For eg. Jews has been in Europe for thousands of years, what's their identity in those countries? Nothing. That's the difference between a nation and a racial groups. Tamil is a great nation originated in Southern India, not in SL.

  • thanks 4 uploading this...... the value of this song doesnt get diminished ever...

i enjoyed it for over 20 years and even now.... i love it more and more

  • reali reali nice (patriotic) song, unfortunate that these are not heard any more....accept my gratitude for sharing this.....

  • Long live the Nation Sinahlese........

  • This song has nothing to do with minorities or racism. It's simply about the Sinhala people, their country, their history, their heritage and civilisation. Nanda Malini's refusal to sing this song is pathetic and disgusting.

  • I believe sinhalese is more of a lingustic group rather than a race. lots of sri lankan in western and southern provinces came from south India. Sri lanka is beautiful country we should live in harmony.

  • Dear Prelal, please note that Sinhala is a nation and not a race. If u say that they have come from South India, they should have lingusitic similaritis also, Sinhala is not based on malayalam, tamil or Karnataka....it originates from Sanskrt, and it is a totally difrent language grp. Those who have come from South India have adopted to sinhala culture, so they are part of Sinhalese now. Any way Sinhala being a nation is no reason for Sinhalese Nation and other races to fight or kill each other.

  • What a nice song !!!!!!!!! Thank a lot for uploading.

  • This is a memorable song for us. it reminds me of my school days back in 80's. and what a nice voice and music.

    i'm glad that its preserved.

Thanx for every one who gifted these treasures to us. including who uploaded.

  • We don't oppress any minority as they claim.

They did a lot fighting for lost privileges- better treatment under British, .

Nanda was in BOSTON I requested her to sing this song. She refused.

Nobody should be that politically correct.

    Or become Vesantharas.

  • Dear Lalith,

Nanda has changed lately from her early stance.

When Sekara wrote this song it was not meant to denigrate any minorities, it was pure patriotism than anything else. Both Sekara and Chadrarathne Manawasinghe have written similar patriotic songs and Amaradeva, Rukmani Devi and Nanda sang them those days. The difference is Amaradeva would still sing those patriotic songs and Nanda would not, sadly good old Rukmani has left us.

Its a personal thing I guess.

    Regards

    Vidhura

  • Many artists like Nanada were paid by NGOs. Specially under the Chandrika's Gov to change the people's opinion towards the nationalism. SUDUNELUMA, THAWALAMA and many other programs were there to do this under the government patronage . Thank god Mahinda came to power.

  • Srilanka is the only country of Sinhalese people, We have the right to celebrate that.

Hung Chinese in China , oppress all minorities.

    We should not oppress .

  • this is really nice, Do you have the Getawarayo song sihinhathak by same singer

  • So I think it is the bare necessity of the artist that he calls Lanka as his own, because there is no other place in the earth for the sinhalese to call homeland, and glorifying this aspect in a delightful music, and words should not be looked down by anybody who is sensitive to a race who are patriotic.

    No racism! no discrimination! Intended

  • Furthermore it is necessary I think to highlight the fact that the 'sinhalese' have no other motherland except 'Sri Lanka' or 'lanka' as I prefer to call it. The Tamils have Tamilnadu in India, and the Bughers have either Holland, there are lot of stories how the muslims have migrated to Sri Lanka in order to do business. But the Sinhalese? where do they come from?

  • Moreover, it is necessary I think to clear the origin of the word 'sinhala', that it comes from the word 'sivu hela' meaning the 'four hills' and not as the 'sinha le' or 'blood of the lion' as is popularly believed. Hence Sinhala not as a racial yardstick but as a substitute name for Lanka should be considered.

  • of course Muslims and Christians worship because they believe it is the foot symbol of Adam, while Buddhists believe it is the foot of the Buddha. Surely you cannot be ignorant of the fact.

  • Nobody has adopted this as the national anthem in Sri Lanka, but it is a patriotic song which appreciates the beauties and cultures of the country, dont you agree? Furthermore the fact that the song has highlighted and given more space to the Sripada/Adam's Peak clips is quite an intellectually artistic and a subtle manner of including all races of Sri Lanka into a one common religious place,

  • Dear eranmar,

it is nice to see your enthusiasm for a one nationm a concept all patriots in a country believe in, but when you say this should not play in Sri Lanka, it is a serious threat to the independance of the artistic creativity of the music director and the film director, dont you think?

  • I agree this is a nice song, but really should not play in Sri Lanka, as our King Mahinda said we are all Sri Lankans, don't be racist..From now on we have to try and live like one nation SInhala,Tamil,

    muslim and all other races.

    Peratama Yamu Lanka !!

  • There is no place Like Home... Sri Lanka.. Our mother Land..

  • Me Sinhala Apege Ratay- that is the truth no Tamil man or Muslim man can change that truth. WE STAYED 2500 YEARS AND ANOTHER 2500 YEARS TO GO.

  • Hey you dileepax ,

please restrict your comments to songs and music. Like all others who love their motherland, show your true patriotism by loading songs or the least appreciating our brothers and sisters who are taking a lot of trouble and time to preserve for the future our glorious past through music and song !
