Well the Singaporean labor act does not recognise domestic workers as workers. Their work is not recognised because they work within "private spaces"(home) which is considered by the gov't as beyond their jurisdiction. Because of their exclusion in the labor act, they are more vulnerable to abuse because there are no labor laws that would regulate how an employer should treat his/her own domestic helper. These helpers are open to abuse. Who's the terrorist now?
@gorengyan So rightly said. These maids or people who complain about singapore are the real terroist or from some syndicate for money laundering or human trafficking trying to find ways to free MAS SELAMAT in singapore.
Please stop their terorist movement. Please show all the attrocities that these maids have done to your country and show the world what kind of people they really are... Every country they go they complain the country abuse them, is this not a form of terrorist movement.
Please ban indonesian maids from singapore. These maids are either sucidal or killed so many of our elderly they cared for and also done a lot of crazy things from stealing and hurting family members.
How come on this video, everyone's acting the way they should be, and talking about how sad this is, yet on videos about Human Trafficking (aka MODERN SLAVERY) People are pointing fingers at each other (Ex: It's all (insert gender) fault!"), trying to deny it exists, or making sick jokes? They're both horrid and monstrous, they deserve the same concern.
Great begingin music, but the beggining was a little to long. And the Transitions betweem the music were a little to fast, no fading, seemed a little to jumpy
Your video was a well thought out combination of music and pictures. The organized structure of the video (separating the topic into three parts) helped to send the message better. I liked how you used strong pictures, statistics and testimonies to show that your topic is a real issue. Your self designed TIME magazine cover on 2:12. was very emotional.
the three different sections that all have their own songs make this video flow extremely well. the techno song makes this video different but more engaging.
I also love the time magazine covers that you made and incorporated into the video.
Good music choice in all three parts, works well with your text/pictures. I espcially liked your transition with "This is their story" at 0:37. Your song for the middle part might have been too techno, but work well with your pictures, and you end nicely with a lighter music in the credits.
Overall, right amount of text, not too much, not too little. One of the best videos on this topic.
Wonderfully informative. This mini-"documentary" provides a fairly detailed account as to the abuse of domestic workers in Singapore. It's definitely something I would share with others. The images and the music have a great impact and flow well with the issue you are discussing.
Really does a great Job in Raising Awareness as this issue is a great problem
and it is unfair how maids are treated in the world today. They usually come to Singapore leaving their families behind, they work so hard and all of it is usually just for feeding and providing for their families back home. Its just such a same that they have to go through more than they already suffer!
Great vid man! ill be sure to forward it on to others!
awesome vid, it highlights a refreshing & diff perspective on SG that some of us treat foreign domestic workers inhumanely. this also applies to other countries like Msia too.
Read the article about what this maid tried to do to her employer in singapore's stomp.

So good and engaging!
The three parts breaks up the information really well
There are so many good pictures and the part when they are flashed really fast leads in really well to the slower part
this video makes people pay attention
