Indeed this could have been done without the heavy drums and guitars, and possibly withou the soloist who, although very talente,d still sounds like American Idol pop stuff. Possessing the amazing wealth of 500 years of vocal tradition I would have gone for a purely choral version and show some harmonization work here. Just an opinion.
