  • This is NOT Bios. This is actually CMOS. It is a different set of codes stored on the southbridge. BIOS is stored in the ROM chip

  • @patton210 As I told the other guy, you can't get it back. Turning off the pc will do nothing. CMOS is stored on a chip on the motherboard. It is kept alive via a small battery. If you want to get it back you need to hit the jumper switch thAt will reset CMOS. It should be located on the motherboard. Note that you are to clear CMOS, not BIOS. Without bios your pc is worthless. However there should only be a switch for CMOS. Contact me for more info

  • @SpoiLClan Nothing you can do as far as I know. You can reset CMOS via a switch of the motherboard. And it will load defaults. But otherwise nothing I don't believe

  • Password for enter setup pls :))))

  • thanks :D

  • Exactly what i needed :)

    TNX

  • I did this on my mates computer and now I forgot the password!!!

    What to do?? :(

  • Uh, mine does not do the "boot up" screen

  • I have a question I set my password... and it saves it, but I never need to actually type it in? lol wtf.

  • see ...::: OnyxCode :::...

  • I forgot my pw so how do i get it back?

  • @patton210 try un plugging the computer, bios should be erased all together since it is not stored on the hd and its memory form needs electricity.

  • plz tell me hw i break the bios password

  • @ashishkumar789 I have heard if you remove the power source (un plug) it will flush the memory and password gone, it is worht a shot.

  • Thank you so much I have extracted a lot of knowledge from this video :)

  • does this work on windows 7

  • hi mate,

I wanna know how to set bios password in windows 7, processor- intel core 2 duo,32 bit, american megatrends

  • hey i wanna know how can i get my posswor for my bios

  • how do you bypass that?

  • digitally, you cant pass trough this password, but you can remove it by manually removing lithium battery from your motherboard, leaving it for 5 mins and then putting it back, what it does is that it restarts BIOS completely, cause lithium battery is supporting bios.

  • I hope u can help me for last 2 nights my pc bios as been resetting the time and date has been changed. I even done a clean install and still happens i also vuris clean it and everything but i never touch it. It happens over night then resets please help me. thanx Matthew ps some people say its the battery but i use a desktop pc and i never touch the inside

  • your CMOS battery is propably loose and low on battery power, try taking it out and putting it back in, or securing its position

  • easy i can hack this with out turning the computer on, 1. Open your PC case 2. Find a small circle flat battery on the mother board (sometimes at the bottom of broad) remove it from its slot and wait for 3hrs or overnight for extra drainage from BIOS chip. 3. put the battery back into the slot and turn on computer there no BIOS password. so in the end secure your PC case with a PADLOCK!!!

  • what would removig the BIOS startup batery do ?

  • resets the BIOS time, which means everything is cleared.

  • Yours was a CMOS set up

  • BIOS password on most generic motherboards can be removed by simply taking the CMOS battery off for a couple minutes. Password will be gone then. You would need some sort of EEPROM saved password (non power dependent) such as the DELL laptops have or a harddrive password. Otherwise this is a waste of time. Anyone stealing your computer knows how to by pass the silly BIOS password. The only one having a hard time might be the user it self when he/she forgets what the BIOS password was LOL

  • thx very much i have a big brother who alwayse try to get to my PC thx for helping me :D

  • bios passwords can be bypassed with the backdoor manufacturer passwords lol

  • Yah, but then you need to go online to find them out. If you want to access a computer to access the internet or something than that's not an option.

  • @wartex8 u cld use a smartphone for the internet to find the BIOS PW...

for real safety, right click on My Docs and click properties. Now, click advanced, and turn on encryption. Now, you have files that are 256-bit (on windows 7) that will take about 6 months and a supercomputer to crack! Just remember to use a strong password. if anyone tries to reset your windows password, they will get into your computer, but all your files will be scrambled!

  • awsome! just what i was looking for!

  • yeah this helped a lot

  • Is there any limits how many times you can enter that password wrong?

  • Different computers have different bios's. In my case I've consecutively entered in 6 wrong passwords and the computer didn't lock up. Your bios may be different.

  • @wartex8 Can u help me? when i enter in bios menu it require a password. i haven`t set any pass. how to remove that pass? can u tell me? [without removing Li. Battery! Ty

  • no I set it up so I would have to press f1. I want that option. I custom built my computer and it is good.

  • Cool thanks.

  • thats pretty cool thnx
