Weak Band, too much diddling by the keys, and very weak, NON BLUES guitarist. Sam was always pretty good, no Little walter or Sonny boy , but pretty good. He never moved from the spot he started playing in.
Sam Myers has always been one of my very favorite singers and harp players. I saw them twice in Minnesota and once in Luxembourg. I'm glad I got to talk to him and Anson Funderburgh and all the musicians. They are all great people. Check out Sam's book, "The Blues is My Story," it's great.
I feel privileged to have seen Sam Myers & Anson Funderburgh perform LIVE in Phoenix on two separate occasions in the mid-90's. His music will live on forever.
I miss you Sam. I'll never forget when we toured together in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and when I visited you in your home in Dallas. I miss you so much! /Dennis from the Swedish band Bloosblasters
Sweet Sam will be missed by many. I have many happy memories of him live in concert. Remember after one of his shows with Anson & the gang, he hung out with the crowd in front of the stage dancing with the ladies!
great video -makes me miss him ever so much more -then thats why the call it the BLUES thanks for posting this timeless treat -as anyone who ever saw him live can relate to i am sure
