@MetallicBill ---Right, I love TRAFFIC and Winwood's solo work. Have the CD's. I swear Radio Station played this song and misstated it was by The Spencer Davis Group. I wrote it down, too. Thanks for the Info. I found this LP on Ebay for 10 bucks....
@giaisbomb Yep, good, but should be on eBay cheaper then that! I'd say this song appears the standout, from my recollection. Few records, even one hit wonders, have an album full of choice stuff, not saying it's bad, but this is excellent stuff
@MetallicBill ---EXACTLY! I thought I'd find it on Ebay for Buy Now at 99 Cents! I'm always looking for some vintage, obscure stuff that is rare---so they can charge more. I think I'll look at used record stores. I'd rather have the CD anyways for that price. LP's are a pain in the ass compared to CD's. I like to replay certain songs and just press a button. I'm spoiled now. I was going to buy the recording unit to put all my LP's onto CD....That costs money too, for the blank CD's!
@giaisbomb Blank media DOES show up at the Goodwill. I see USB turntables are on the market, but you can record to digital from an old analog receiver or turntable. You can use MiniDiscs as one example
Why oh why hasn't a record label reissued the TSB albums Run For Your Life and Three's A Crowd on CD? I've seen the pirated CD-R's out there but I want the originals remastered on CD. Whoever controls the A&M catalog needs to get on this.
@MetallicBill ----Is this the correct name of the band for this great tune? I thought it was Spencer Davis Group, No wonder I never could find this tune. Please reply so I can pick this one up...Thanks!
Oh man, this song is and was awesome... takes me back to the early 80s when MTV was new and good and played JUST vids all the time... so good to hear this again!
That girl at 2:08 IS TOTALLY BUILT LIKE A BRICK HOUSE!!
I'd take her over a emaciated, half-starved size 2 "supermodel" any day of the week. Too bad she's more than likely a 50-something grandmother now. :-(
I searched high and low for this video for a year!I was searching for Tarney Spencer Band instead of Tarney Spencer Group!
This song, and in particular... this video possess' a mystique that brings me back to the magical day's of my youth. The haunting melody has a certain sadness to it. You never here this song on the radio...and from waht I understand it is currently OOP. What a shame.
@tjw0099 it actually came out in november 1979. i remember hearing it all the time at this restaurant that my bro in law owned where we partied all the time. great music great food late 70s what isnt to like eh?
@JourneyRocks81 ---I saw your JOURNEY Escape Icon on your comment. I saw that tour and had the baseball jersey from it. I replaced that LP with a CD. I still think Escape is my fave Journey LP! 1981, Great too. How old are you, I'm 43...
@giaisbomb Hi. nice to meet you. I too think that Escape is my all time face Journey Lp. I to am in my late 40's. I love the year 1981. I hope we can be friends. Looking forward to hearing from you. :)
Man, I can remember watching this on MTV when MTV was worth a shit, back in the early-mid 80's.
I really love the skating shots. Especially the hot chick with the boom box. But the shot of the girl skating in circles near the end of the video is classic.

@giaisbomb Spencer Davis is mainly known for singer of Traffic, Steve Winwood. He's not in this band, so it's true they are not related!

Dude,
You nailed it. I can remember watching it in late 82, spring 83 on MTV.
The first time I saw it was after a date around 1230 am. The haunting melody really fit my mood and it had such an impact I can remember it today.
I got the same vibes from Robert Plants "Big Log" and the Split Enz "Ghost Girl". Same time period, give or take a year.
