The source tune has been waiting for the proper treatment since the 80s. Honestly, this is incredible. If you like the sound of the OneUps along with some big band, then you'll feel right at home here. This has everything you could ask for: live instruments, the solos, the finale. It's all there.

This is one of my all-time favourite OCReMixes. The ONLY issue I have with it is that the sax solo is buried by the (brilliantly-written) backgrounds. I wish I could hear that solo a little better. But this arrangement is KILLER, which makes up for it.

Makes you wish Shigeru Miyamoto would do the ultimate send-up to the 2D Super Mario Bros franchise with this music and the classy visuals to go with it. Maybe a 25th Anniversary game? With a whole musical theme to the plot and many self referential jokes. Probably include a modified Level-1 World-1 map with a steel drum tropical Super Mario Bros. theme. But make the music recorded studio music.
