  • this is SOOOO COOOOL !!

  • Joey hooked up a faze shifter to his snare, cool one.....

  • Nice bass licks-

  • Liv looks just like her dad-

    Guitar and voice.....SO HOT!!!!

  • Good performance, but the sound mix was terrible.

  • Steven has such good rhythm and timing.

  • dammmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnn they're all so fine! Especially Steven and Joe!!!

  • wow, man I was 2 yrs old in1974, now I am 35 and Aerosmith is still in good shape especially Steven..thanks for this amazing video...

  • In the early 1970s, we had In Concert and Midnight Special to introduce us to all the new bands. This was a special time.

  • These guys can play. Jesus.

  • the days before cable tv. this was one of the last programs of the night, ending by one am.

  • Skinny boy amazing heart and soul

  • You know... if you covered up his mouth and a little bit of his nose, and looked straight at his eyes.. reminds me of Jim Morrison... idk.. maybe im just high...

  • ahhh this is just soo amazing.

  • for one of aerosmiths first live videos. this has the best quality of all of the 70s live videos of them ive seen

  • quality is amazing. thanks for sharing.

  • The train ran over the two people who disliked this.

  • 2 fans of justin bieber here !"# them!

  • @SmileyGarrish The size of the stage limited the some. Keep in mind this was the 70's and fairly low budget

  • YEAH!!!

  • y siempre hay 2 ctm que no les gusta el rock .i.

  • @heymissdj lets keep following these guys miss dj. Train... i met a dame....thought i was handsome..we kinda looked the same....i'm in heat....i'm in love...

  • at the time,i had an attitude abt anyone challenging zep' and i was slow to aerosmith as a result. the brittish had me forgetting where rocknroll came from- this band brought it home (for me).

  • @JohnAllanification i had the opposite mindset. i was all about american rock bands. this band got me going. but later in life appreciated Zeppelin more than ever. this band still entertaining but have to keep looking at the 70's clips. not as commercial.

  • This is when Aerosmith was good!

  • @raiderspride69 what the fuck, they were never bad!

  • @hannahbaby5257 thats your problem if you think shit like love in a elevator or dude looks like a lady is good...cuz that shit sucks along with other stuff from that time.

  • @raiderspride69 Well " Permanent Vacation " was still the best record from their later chapter

  • @dockaiser get real...dockkaiser? more like dickchaser.....That album blows

  • oh shit, phaser on the snare!

  • he was 26 or 27 I think. Wow he dosn't seem to have aged much since then. He most definatly has not lost his voice. It might have gotten better.

  • @wilby2400 if you're talking about Steven he was 26

    2011-1974=37

    63(age now)-37=26

I don't care how old he is, Steven STILL looks good and still has the screamin' voice.

  • he was and is so good! !!!!

  • steven is still to cool for cool

  • This is pretty much fucking awesome.

  • In the 70's we use to say Aerosmith was the poor mans Rolling Stones. Steven looked in the mirror and said, " Well I've got big fuckin lips, I must be a singer like Mick Jagger!" And the rest is HIS-TO-RY.

  • Nice, Steven had his stage moves established early. Good post!

  • People talk about his mouth like its a bad thing ;D

  • Was this Aerosmith's first television appearance? Or had they made an appearance in '73 after the debut album came out?

  • wow man dude looks like a lady...

  • Too bad they forgot to mic Brad's amp...

  • Just imagine what that mouth could do

  • @TheKnitbitch i know! ive been thinking the exact same thing!

  • @TheKnitbitch yea.....suck Joe Perrys d-ck.......(you asked for that).

  • @TheKnitbitch I read about it in his bio.....wish i diddnt read that sometimes

  • the person who dislike this video probably shits bigger than his small dick!

  • 1 word..... HOTTTTTTTTTT!! 0O0

  • Steven Tyler just oozes sex. love it.

  • Just snorted an eight ball.

  • This is just Sick.....

  • Before Joe Perry had eyes!

  • @12groney Hahahaha i like your coment!

  • @12groney it's couson it! iT'S in slashs genes to.

  • I love when Joe plays a strat! I think he used it as his main guitar for the first two albums and hot damn it sounds good!

  • This is an excellent rip. I've seen tons of these vids from Midnight Special (perhaps the best TV show ever) but the quality of this one is exceptional.

  • lol, 4;31, brad abouts slides off the stage.

  • @bonfirejovi hey fuck you bon jovi sucks

    long live aerosmith!!

  • @bonfirejovi do you know who else sucks dude? your moms

  • so cool, if you can believe it, aerosmith at this point, 2nd disc, were struggling to get record companies to take them seriously and they were fighting just to stay alive.

  • @tomitstube and wasn't this before the heavy drugs kicked in?

  • @cuongnhu246 ~ correct, they were always partiers but this was before they could afford the massive cocaine habits they developed. despite the idiot critics, toys and rocks really got them the success that led to their excess problems. plus the single 'dream on' from the first album was constantly getting radio play. these guys really paid their dues. if it's something you find interesting, "walk this way" is an excellent book.

  • @cuongnhu246 : they were kicking in, it was just that they hadn't taken over yet......that would be in another 4 or so years.....

  • Shit dude...Perry can fucking play.

  • i love the sound of that raggedy-ass strat....perry has an undeniable and on the edge style that I like alot....

  • he could fit a basketball in his mouth

  • @alwaysopen: I don't think Joe Perry, at this point in his career, was capable of reproducing what Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner played on the recorded version. Sounds like he's trying, but can only approximate their solos. Poor Joe. He probably had no say in the decision to hire Hunter and Wagner to play on Get Your Wings.

  • @DerClunk Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner played on Get Your Wings? I never knew that.

  • Sadly, this man is now a judge on American Idol.

  • @TheBrownNote2007 let's hope he turns it into Rock Idol. haha.

  • Best R&R mouths,Tyler or Jagger?

  • @littlequeen64 tyler ;>

  • @littlequeen64 both =)

  • This is pretty cool. The camera ignores Brad and Tom, but it's pretty obvious why unfortunately. Steven and Joe will forever be the darlings of the band, all they have to do is be next to each other and they are instantly volatile focal points. Their look is undeniable and they both exude rockstar-ness. It's undeniable, they are legends and in this early vid, the magic is peeking through. Thanks for posting!

  • This band has rocked my world since I first saw them in high school 1974. My eyes were glued to Steven as he rode the broom stick horse all over the stage at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu. I just hope that they will continue so that I might see them one more time.

  • they never show brad whitford in these things. he's a ripping guitarist too..

  • I also am amazed by the fact Joe hadn't learned the studio version of the solo to that tune before they took it out on the road. Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter played those solos in the studio and Joe had to learn them after. As you see here he is a bit lost with it all.

  • @alwaysopen yeah but who isn't lost when it comes to Wagner and Hunter, those two guys owned everyone...and I mean everyone. Just listen to the studio version guitars, imo the sickest ever.

  • @gl797

Have you heard the live version of Sweet Jane on Lou Reed's Rock and Roll Animal or the many Alice Cooper albums including Billion Dollar Babies?

I agree totally about the studio version - I knew it wasn't Joe when I saw them live back then. Brad is a more proficient player. Listen to their solo stuff when Aerosmith broke up in the 70s.

  • @alwaysopen yeah I've heard the Lou Reed stuff but my favorite from them is "The Alice Cooper Show" from 1977., just incredible guitarists, especially on that version of "Eighteen". I bought that album the year it was released and I remember thinking to myself damn these guys are great, the whole band actually. They are also two of the nicest guys going and I've recently exchanged e-mails with both, they gave me some tips on playing.

  • Did they edit out the solo in the middle of the tune or did the band play it that way?

That solo is way longer than what they did on TMS.

  • 1:39

  • Stive looks like Jim morason with the hair

  • I saw them play this live in 1975......ya im old but they still rock !!

  • Steven kinda looks like Jim Morrison

  • @RockSoilder1 OMG! you also think so! i'm not crazy!

  • LOL AT STEVEN

  • @TheLappinator Yeah lol. Apparently in the 60s when the stones were really big he'd run around calling himself mick jagger and get his ass kicked for it.
