I think the best way to help you is throught the forum RUNRYDER, take a look into SCALE HELICOPTERS, I initiated a thread about this heli three days ago, I will show all the mods with photos and videos, then you participate of the forum and we can share our experiences.
@krumrick2 did you try to adjust you pitch angle lower of your main blade to ? So you can increase your head RPM with little lift and your tail RPM will generate enough RPM without stalling.
check out my video of the ec 135, you need to speed the tail gear up to about 7x the main rotor speed instead of the standard 4.24x speed tail gears. also cut the fan blades down to 9.5mm in width which gives better efficiency and less blade dragg on the HA fan system. I did extensive testing and mods on this system and this is the way to go to make it fly with 4 blade head. The full width HA tail blades stall at full right rudder.
I found very useful your tip of cut the blades to 9,5 mm width, actually I received a new Fan ( the first one broke one blade) and to have a spare to do more testings,
till Sunday I will post a new video showing the modifications in the fuse and Fan (with your mods).
The tip to increase the tail speed I was aware, and also had noticed about the stall of the tail blades ( to much pitch and very sensitive to).
This rotorhead is custom made ( the scale top dome is a nice touch), but you can buy from Heliartist or Lightning Heli or Copter-x. be careful with the chinese head, some are made with bad quality metal and broke easily.
Or I can make one like mine and you buy the HeliArtist blades (need a modifications on CG, I will pass this mod to you). Tomorrow I will test again the heli with custom made blades for the Fan V2.
Like the rotorhead the scale top dome is custom made in aluminun, so can be paint in any color.
The swash plate I like to use and modify the original from the kit, in this EC135 is an Align T-rex V2, again the ones that come with chinese heads are not good.
The swash driver or follower is custom made to, this last is very simple but work really good.
Hi & thanks...I will post the mods of this adjustements soon as I find the way.
I been thinking in make a new gear for the belt, the front one with more teeths, if I can this will be the better option, no need to buy a new motor with high RPM's.
@krumrick2 crashes are all part n parcel of rc helicopters.. i should know, i've had a few lol! but only on cheap, easily repairable King3's!! scale birds are a whole different kettle of fish! :o)
i'm sure you won't crash, and have you any details on your DIY rotor head? is it electronically stabilised... or are you just that good????
Hi. I'm trying to make functional my system but I have some problems with the angle of the tail. If you see the front view of the fenestron (left side from the tail) the rotation is clockwise or counterclockwise? Do you exchange the rotation angle of the belt or not? I really appreciate your comments and cooperation. Regards. Marlon

Hi. I'm trying to make functional my system but I have some problems with the angle of the tail. If you see the front view of the fenestron (left side from the tail) the rotation is clockwise or counterclockwise? Do you exchange the rotation angle of the belt or not? I really appreciate your comments and cooperation. Regards. Marlon

@marlontaboradotcom
Hi Marlon.
Is't CLOCKWISE....about the belt before mount the fenestron you will need the correct angle, this is simple.
Actually I have a lot of problems with my Fan V2, partially because i'm using a four blades rotorhead.
let me know about yours.
Good luck!!.

Nice one. I like the rear design. Was that your design?
Shame about lack of RPM on the fan at rear, when do you think it will be fixed?
Woooo, first comment XD
SRCleaderRAZZOR 1 year ago
@SRCleaderRAZZOR
Hi
The rear fan is from HeliArtist, the main rotorhead is my design and build.
Is't bad the low fan RPM, in two days I hope can resolve this issue...
cheers
