...I am not saying this to upset you or unease you...but to open your eyes and ears ...to what is unconsciously known to most people in the west and many muslim people.
It is good that you speak in english and not dari so that so many more poeple can understand what you are talking about....also, canada is an english speaking nation, so to speak english elevates the integrity and sincerity of the this debate! / Regards

........If allowing that prosperus and educated culture to come back to your country you have to separate your selfs from your religion... this very debate you are conducting is a product of the freedom and democracy that the quran is un-colabotable with! So the reading from the quran in the beginning of your talk is a asult on the very debate you are conducting.....and if you think not....do you think that this open debate would be able in afganistan, iran, pakistan etc etc..?......

their homeland is due to this freedom and rights of the west etc. and that includes the free friendship aspects. Besids it is the muslim culture which have shaped the afgan culture to what it is today with less and less rights of women in the past decades. If you look at films from afganistan in 50th and 60th you would see how freely women could dress just like in the west. Afgansitan was more modern in the 50th than today just look up: Modern Afghanistan in 1950s - 60s ..for ex.......

If men and women was not allowed to be friends with each other about 50 of interactions in the wesetern countries would be lost ....and colaboration in offices/at word would be very tense and progress would be very slow as a result. The posstive atributes (freedom of speech, democracy, human laws not sharia etc.etc. etc. ) of the western world which gives rice to the fact that imigrants from e.g afganstan would like to make a home here (in the free western world) away form the war of.....

somebody should ask this guy with black blazer, if he would be fine with his sister having guy friends or his wife befriending with opposite genders. there shouldn't be any debates, if you are afghan, and most likely you are muslim, and islam doesn't allow interaction with opposite gender unless if it is within a permitted relationship.

The reason from my point of view a man shouldn't be friends with a lady : women are emotionally and physically weaker than men so women are prone to stress and succumb to problems. if that woman has close male friend, she might share with him, which she should have shared with her husband instead and this might create distance between her and the husband. in case of having lady friend it would be different because a lady wont be able to from her husband's perspective.

please don practice ur english in places like this. just go about and talk in the language which u can deliver wut u wanna say. talking in english does not make one a scholar. i did not get most of the speakers point of view.
