  • great tutorial, lol at the buzz lightyear voice

  • My name is Chris, and so far as I've been playing magic, I was always addicted to your art, whether it be horrific or absolutely Elegant, you are one of the few artist that has inspired me to want to keep at it with my artworks in hopes i could be able to draw things for Wizards just like you do. I really enjoy drawing and it has been my passion since I was a young military brat growing up all around

  • Hello there :3

Really informative and good tutorial ^^ Enjoyed every bit :D

I'm wondering if you could share the brush set you got ? Or where did you got some of them ? I'm curious about the fire brush mostly :3 Thanks a lot in advance ^^

    Cheers :D

P.S.: Keep up the great work :D

  • Awesome, now, time to go back and re watch all 3 videos another 12 times, love these so much!

Cant believe it took me this long to find you stuff, always loved fantasy art and look at tutorials, but only found your website today, and for the record, I love Bola's Grasp. One of the best artworks I have ever seen.

  • I love your work! I feel like such an infant when it comes to painting digitally. Watching your tutorials help alot. Not only are you a great artist but you had my cracking up with your sense of humor. Hope you make more tutorials soon!

  • You sir are not only talented but make learning fun - you should definatly get more tutorials going on this channel!

  • Must build a monument to your honor!

  • patiently waiting for the next lesson :)

  • Yes! Please do!

  • Thank you so much! I've really got to make some more soon.

  • Love the lesson.

I especially like how you explain lighting. I could never grasp the concept of having contrasting colors when shading. My wants to work separate from my eyes. x_x

  • wow, the most entertaining art tutorial I got to see and listen to so far. very nice, clear voice. I often skip ahead in such tutorials, but your commentary kept it interesting all the time. Very helpful hints.

  • I FEEL STUPID NOW.

  • Wow, Steve, you are awesome!!!

  • LORD ARGYLEEEE

Where may I ask are all the other lessons you promised?

Your beloved minions need MOAR tutorials!

  • YOU ARE WEIRD....but I like you!

    :D

Really great paintings. Came across them in somebodys fave list on DA.

Fave'd watched and subscribed, so consider yourself stalked!

Thanks for the vid uploads :)

  • I almost feel compelled to say: that if this was cult, I would join it!

  • "Prime your squealing glands because I think we are ready for FIRE!"

    Win. Pure win.

  • Very informative and interesting. Much appreciated. Hope to see more in the future.

  • your work is awesome mabey you can work for magic the gathering I think they would like your arts

  • @powerup22

Already do, actually. A lot of the timelapses on my channel are from Magic.

  • Oh that planishing brush is nice!

  • the most helpful and interesting lesson i've ever seen. thank you!

  • @ElenaAgibalova

    Great to hear! Thanks.

  • Seriously, you are a mad genius! I can't even begin to describe how incredibly helpful you've been in these vids, and absolutely entertaining in the process!

  • @DantarBlade

I could learn to live with the title "mad genius..." It's got more panache than "that weird guy who's never wearing pants."

  • @SteveArgyleDotCom Yeah, it definitely fits you better!

Been a fan for a while, and I loved where this series went! Now I've gotta try out the techniques you've demonstrated! Thanks for all the interesting advice!

  • Awesome work and the explanations really help a lot. I like to hear as much of the thought process as I can, and not just "do this first, this next". Keep going!

  • @chromatic2006

My goal is to create lessons that will help folks realize their own visions, in their own style. To help overcome the technical hurdles and the digital medium, so they can do what they want, rather than just mimic a step by step.

Though, I love the old Tick comics step-by-steps. "Draw a circle. Now draw a vertical line, then a horizontal line through it. Now draw Tick throwing it at the Evil Midnight Bomber, What Bombs at Midnight!"
