  • i have a problem, i want to install 6 gb of memory dd3 of difeent size (4 and 2 gb), my motherboard (asus m5a78lm-lx) recognizes the 4 gb dimm, but when i install the 2 gb extra memory (for a total of 6), the pc indicates that theres only 2 gb of ddr3 installed??, sorry 4 bad translation im from vzla

  • @marcosvelarde83 the reason manufacturers usually bundle 4x4gb or similar is because all of the ram sticks MUST match, different models of the same memory wont work either. if you want 6 gb get 3x2gb or just go for 8 (2x4gb)

  • hazmat suit sold separately.

  • music....unnecessary.

  • Dude you rock. Thanx.

  • does the ram have to be identical, or can i use different ddr3 cards?

  • @MortenFS95 It has to be identical I think

  • @MortenFS95 Actually no, it does not have to be identical, but they SHOULD be identical for maximum performance using dual channel. Otherwise, you can use different DDR3 cards, as long as they are DDR3 and not DDR2.

Just don't forget to wear your bomb defusing suit, protective face shield and clear the area before performing such a dangerous procedure. Do not attempt this if you are under the age of 3.

  • could i ask a question? did you download windows? or pay for iit? if u did, did it work fine with u?
