  • @MichaelTrystorm how did you get to go there ?0.0

  • @Tenten411 they are actually allowing people into their temple all you have to do is pay the ee.a year training at the shaolin temple is around 4k and that covers everything (food board tuition etc)its a awsome palce^_^birthplace of shaolin kongfu and zen budhism:)i can list the website if you wish

  • @MichaelTrystorm Oh really!^_^ thats just sounds wonderful xD! And yes could you please list the website for me! ~(^0^)~

  • @MichaelTrystorm wow amazing could you send it to me

  • @monkey50cal well youtube doesnt allow websites so go to facebook and type in "learn kung fu in china shaolin temple"in the search box, that should take you to their facebook page, which has the website.

  • I saw them perform back in Canada, can't wait to check them out in China.

  • i do kung fu liu he men style but trying to train at shaolin thats way to much for me

  • Very nice of the man to go to China to train so hard. Travel is good for the soul.

  • @Yoshin9 I agree, especially to a place of such raw refinement. such a hard life with such a good outlook. You are very wise.

  • "Hug a tree if you don't have a friend" lol

  • Wauw, Its such a honer if u get to train witht he monks.

  • it takes a very very serious commitment to become a shaolin monk. sometime it takes a life time just to learn the "basic".

  • nice you made the adventure but I belive from my own experience in china that if you really want to learn and be good in the shao lin kung fu you should pay more attention on your stances.

and belive me, you are not a natural born.

  • Ahhhhhhh, sh*t!!! What would you do when you run into a Shaolin thug in the mid of nite!

  • @AcceleraTube hahaa.... try to talk it out ...

  • i'd love to do some training with some shaolin monks some time.

  • not bad, kid!

  • Welcome to the Chuck Norris Juvenile Detention Center.

  • Badass.. I wud love to get my ass kicked by them...

  • People, the whole "I'm a natural" thing... did no one else thought it was just a innocent joke?

    Lighten up, jeez.

  • @cormano64: AMEN.

  • You're disgusting, you do not deserve to have trained in the Shaolin temple, and also you say you do not have to learn this, you're the worst. It would be better for you to do other things, but not Martial Arts, specifically shaolin kung fu

  • @billyserra

I believe that it is called sarcasm. After he said that they showed many clips of the monks doing things that he obviously cannot. If you are jelious then so be it. But he deserves what he gets because he has the money to go to china and do it. You also deserve to go there if you have the economic resources and will power to go do it. Care for him and choose to care for all and maybe you won't be so mad and have to insult people to justify your exsistence. Be happy!

  • @concoursboy It is not deserve for the money, but he is the pimp while I'm training hard to go there and train with the great monks to learn from their wisdom. On the other hand he appears in the temple and says "I dont have to learn this", implying that he already knew it better than anyone, also, "I am a natural born, I Do not have to do this", that is to be a arrogant. And yes, I have some envy, because I'm working hard kung fu and he is nothing more than a beginner.

  • @billyserra Let him be "arrogant" while you will have your peace. Let the Peace of budhism flow though you and let not this person's presence and your ego take that peace away. Choose how you are going to react. Why envy? If you "know" you are better, there will be no envy as you will have no need nor any desire to prove or show off. Peace. Why care what others have and you want? You choose to want so that you can envy and then be sad and angry. Let go of the envy, pride and fill with peace!

  • "I´m a natural born i don´t have to learn this" this sounds a bit arrogant to me and definitly is NOT the way a shaolin would approach this!

  • 1:22 enjoy yourself ^_^

  • the shaolin monks are pretty badass

  • shjt!

  • Does anyone know which temple this guy was training at? Or was he training at one of the schools that are in Dengfeng?

  • whats the name of the song that starts on 0:51

  • when you place a foot, there should be no sound, no scrape, no stamp, no thump, no nothing unless you've been thought that there should be a scrape, drag, stomp, thump etc. Footwork begins at the hips and dan tian, just like a strike. Dont let the legs lead the way, they should support the body and transmit energy to the techniques. Straighten your back, relax the shoulders and wear a faint smile in your neutral face. Ask your sifu on how to breathe and sound proper.

  • @QuantumQuacks

    u like it ¿?

  • 2:46 Looks like Napolean Dynamite LOL =)

  • hug the tree if you dun have a fren

  • Spoiled little fake viking, I been trained by master soke yamaue, 10 dan,

  • monks can be great breakdancers i think

  • i don't get it

  • white people and their lameness

  • They spin on air like butterfly but one bullet can let them kiss floor ...zz wasted

  • @guitarlearner89 A real man fights with his hands and legs. Pussies make use of guns..

  • I respect you for even trying. It must be really hard and tough for a shaolin to be rejected. imagine decades of pain and not making it... would make working at mccdonalds seem tame

  • Hey thats pretty cool. Saw him do Lien Huan Quan (continuous linked fist) and a bit of Xiao Hong Quan (small Red Fist). Not sure if he was learning bits of Yin Shou Gun (negative hand Staff) technique or not but it was something similar. Nice to see others experience real shaolin culture too. Bet its an experience this young man will take with him for life. Even had him doing ji ben gong (basic shaolin conditioning ...ie head butting the pillar etc.)

    Nice.

  • If you go there they fed you? and dress you? or you must pay for food and clothes??

  • @aslacuentayya they feed you and dress you and let you live there its a hhome

  • you pay for everything before going. You will get your room food training clothes etc.

  • wow dude that's like something i really want to do. Go around the world and learn different type of marshal arts. It is better to learn living with the masters in there on country. It lets you also see how their everyday live is like.

  • what5 name is track at 0.51

  • Did they touch you in sensitive areas?

  • lmafo...

  • wonderful

  • you trained in a shaolin temple for 2 weeks and you still wear pants like that in the ending? wow..

  • lol was he wearing parachute pants at the end?

  • kinda stupid to say 'i'm natural, i don't need to learn this' @ the kid.

i wonder what else was he doing there for 2 weeks at the monks?

  • @waldomarek maybe giving them head, monks always like fresh meat lol

  • very nice. any other videos of training.

  • Could anyone tell me the location of where this took place? The place looks sincere.

  • Imagine if the communist republic of Chine went to infiltrate and overthrow the US government with the high tech army and little soldiers like these, a bone-rattling coup détat on a whole different level Obama would shake eternally

  • seria un honor entrenar en el templo

    No puss?

    no drunk fighting.

no fighting with civil people. etc.. they have them like circus monkeys can show off for some money sad eh?

  • @K1tcher Do some research before you open your mouth and disrespect these, they are Monks, who don´t live like this for money, there are spiritual and physical reasons for why they do this not material

  • @OTOWN2STOCKTOWN

    Your soo right xD

K1tcher is Confused x'D hehehhehh xD

  • T R O L L E D. NOOB

  • The sad thing is, neither do you K1tcher, no woman would ever want to sleep with your sorry ass. They choose not to, you try and fail, go get a fucking life and quit starting arguments and posting negative comments on Youtube. Nobody wants to hear your whiney bull shit.

  • @RJPBurtonBoards

Girl go watch the rerun of the carebears

  • @OTOWN2STOCKTOWN yes they do do it for money too...as long as it's foreign none chinese money ;) spiritual my ass the shaolin of today is basically tourist attraction, and before you express your opinion let me tell you that i've trained and spent time with guys like this in my country, the picture you have in your mind about shaolin is very romantic but unfortunately not even remotely close of how things really are

  • @OTOWN2STOCKTOWN read between the lies, hypocrasies, see things as they really in their essence and basically listen to your own intuition you are your best teacher.. be free and happy

  • Do some research like Otown2stocktown said. You dont know nothing about them but talk shit. How sad eh?

  • damn, his daddy look good, i'll show him so moves that can't be taught on film or done in temples

  • laddntn29 I heard that right. Mm uh Teach him something that..........

  • the daddy should have been the focus of this story more than the son, don't you agree?

  • Do you think the monks train the people who come there just like that? or did they have a somekind of deal?

  • My educated guess is those are no real Shaolin monks! There are many so called martial arts schools right outside the temple. They dress up like monks but they are not the real monks. They just want your money. I guess it is very hard to get into the real one and learn the real Shaolin martial arts!

  • Yes there is. However they don't teach Laowai (foreigners) the real stuff, unless they commit to at least 2 years of training, after you've paid for the lessons, up front. Most who pay for the real stuff quit because the training is too intense, and you also don't get your money back. many Laowai go there for a couple of weeks of training for the experience, but don't learn any useful ass-kicking stuff, which in my mind is a waste of money.

  • It's the same for almost all local martial training schools.

A lot of white guys go to Thailand and pay to train in Muay Thai schools for a week or two. But most local fighters there look down on those white guys and don't treat them seriously because they know they only go there for fun and the experience.

  • Man, what they do is both crazy and amazing, especially those kids at 1:18!!

  • Besides most Shaolin monks in the temples history were VERY Chinese, who loved their country; they had every reason to lie, to say that Daruma was in fact Chinese, and not Indian. Nevertheless, for generations they maintain, the man was Indian. You forget Shaolin monks (most) are every bit as Chinese as other Chinese.

  • wrong again.l Darma was indian, monks were chinese. there have been many records of kung fu hand to hand ONLY combat developed by chinese only like Sui jiao. Some idian guy didn't invent fighting as a whole. As long as you are human, you are capable to fight with your arms and legs. there was kung fu way beyond Darma's coming. This is in RECORDED history.

  • kung fu before Darma wasn't necessarily shaolin kung fu, but it was strictly a chinese origin hand to hand combat. Darma did not create shaolin hand to hand combat solely by himself. that would be idiotic as their are so many forms and secrets in shaolin that it is impossible for one man to MASTER all of them. Shaolin kung fu weapons and hand to hand was developed over time by different talents. this is fact.

  • There is so much to electromagnetism, physics, and gravity I suppose its impossible for one man to master all three, and create the AC current system that your computer runs on but, okay....

Dude, don't even compare martial arts to physics.

  • and I didn't compare Ma to physics. Where the hell did I do that. the fact is Dharma didn't create Shaolin hand to hand fighting. FACT.

He started the monks off to train and persue the martial arts by his exercise pamphlet, which many iodiots not knowing MA thinks it is some kind of MA manyscript. But it is not Martial arts.

Shaolin MA as we know is an accumulation of knowledge. This is the truth and this is the fact.

  • sorry, but unless your information is coming from the most handsome monk himself, I'm a bit skeptical as to the truth of your "sources."

Also Bodhidharma never left any manuscripts; it was all orally transmitted. It is true much Kung Fu is accumulated, but, the original forms were developed by Damo himself. Most of what has been accumulated, is the weapons forms.

  • sorry by saying he left no manuscript you really don't know what you are talking about. Do you even do shaolin kung fu? is your Sifu actually descended from true shaolin lineage (before the cultural revolution in china)?

I am a student of shaolin descended from true shaolin heritage. like I said, I KNOW what I am talking about.

  • @wonphi ahh wonphi funny seeing you here, i come to recommend a book 72 arts of the shaolin by jin jing zhong look it up on amazon. you really do know what you are talking about, i appluad you and other traditional martial artists, but i have a question why doesn't shaolin temple teach anymore self defense forms, now they teach flowery fists and embroidery kicks?

  • @TH3aznEmperor thanks bro. the thing is that Shaolin does still teach proper self defence techniques, but that is reserved for Monks that are at a higher level, and have shown true devotion to staying and teaching at the Temple. there are areas in the temple where camera's and people cannot visit. the only reason all this flash stuff is emphasized is for commercial purposes.

  • @wonphi i do not consider the flashy modern wushu practicioners martial artists because they forgot what is the meaning of martial. i don't think most of them even know what is dit da jow. is it kind of sad to see how arrogant modern chinese martial art practioners are though. i know this one youtuber that said wushu is only for developing speed and discipline and it has no fighting cababilities. either way thank you for the information

  • @TH3aznEmperor As well, they also do not want ppl and young monks to learn all the important stuff, and leave and teach other people, the higher level techniques and fighting forms are reserved for the dedicated and the ones who plan to stay at the temple. In TCMA flash is a part of the art. It has a fighting/defense aspect, as well as a performance aspect, other things include chinese medicine and chivalry. All these should be desire by the Chinese Martial Artist that wants to be complete.

  • @TH3aznEmperor It's just a pity that most "kung fu " practitioners care only about the performance aspect, and neglect the fighting/defense aspect, as well as the Chinese medicine and chivalry aspect.

I still have much to learn, so I am far from getting where I want to go.

  • @wonphi

you're right, but most of the time there isn't any teacher for teaching the "fighting/defense aspect"...

we should blame the cultural revolution of China, and mao zedong, ... not the wushu practitioners.

but I totally agree with you xD

  • @Lynwe there are teachers who do teach the fighting defense aspect, but you are right not many of them are around. Cultural Revolution was HUGE in destroying many of the schools many great masters established.

I don't really despise Wushu practitioners, I just don't like the ones that are stuck up and think that traditional kung fu forms are boring, and just spinning in the air and jumping and flipping is where kungfu is at. It's more than just nan-do.

glad not all of them are like that though.

  • AND no Dharma only came up with exercise forms, not hand to hand combat forms. He showed some self defense forms, but ALL other shaolin forms Luohon, 5 animals, tai chi, xinyi ba, etc, are all chinese accumulated. This is as true as it gets.

  • Dude, can you white people go for 10 seconds without spreading bullshit?

First, second, do you train under Shi Yang Ming at the Shaolin temple of New York?

Because, I could have SWORN, him saying, that Bodhidharma taught them everything but, alright.

  • First of all Shi Yan Ming isn't the only shaolin monk.

Secondly he was refering "taught them everything" as zen bhuddism as in their mentality as monks and the important of self cultivation both physically and mentally through exercise (Yes, Dharma showed them exercises, but not kung fu hand to hand combat, this was through years of accumulation from other warriors and monks who joined/stayed at shaolin).

Third of all I am not white.

  • last of all, the truth is not bullshit.

  • I'll admit though, that real martial arts are both mentally and physically taxing but the point remains, you underestimate people of olden times. They certainly did not have raw knowledge intellect, BUT, they had intellect to build stuff like, say, the pyramids for example. "It would be impossible for one man to develop Kung Fu." I suppose no one engineer built the pyramids then, even though it is written in Hyeroglyphics and man, screw you, you come straih outta a comic book.

  • the fact is that no, you seem to be confused. chinese had great intellect even during the times martial arts were being developed. No one man can create the entire system of shaolin. This is fact. If you had any knowledge on this topic, you would agree with me. But no, what you insist is factually impossible. It is like saying that "the earth was sqaure and became round."

I know what I am talking about.

  • Indians claim whiteness because they do not wish to be treated the way blacks and hispanics are treated, and for that matter, even east asians.

  • I am perfectly aware of the fact that for years, the story of Bodhidharma has been used by racist Karateka, to make the claim that Chinese people learned their Kung fu from "a white guy," problem is, southern Indians ARE NOT white, nor do they consider themselves white, and they only claim to be white if they move to America because, well, nonwhites are discriminated against and they want to work. Its plain to see for all foreigners, America is racist.

  • It only adds to the man's legend.

  • Also, Bodhidharma's blue eyes were an abnormality; they were like, an unnaturally deep, unusual ocean blue, not blue as understood or known in the west. No joke; Damo DID have blue eyes but they were highly unusual.

  • Oh and, one more thing; Bodhidharma may have had blue eyes, but he was not white. Although for a long time southern Indians were classified as "caucasoid," recent DNA studies have shown, that white people are a more recent mutation on the human gene pool. If your mutation is very old, the mutation that made your race that is, then, you are not white. Neither Southern Indians, nor the ancient Greeks, are white people. Although they are still classified as such.

  • lol

  • hey thats my form im doing right now

    at 2:43 :]

    xiao hong chuan

  • this is beautifull

  • Damn he had horrible form. Thatd be a great experience though.

  • what the hell was with those baggy capris at the end

  • i dont want 2 weeks there ... i want some 3..4 years !!! damn !!thats awesome !!

  • that another race can never really have i mean sure you can learn it but you will never have it in a million years no matter how hard you try to decode/extract/study plain in simple

  • its not racist KUNG FU BELONGS WITH THE ASIANS every race has something special about them

  • That defeats the whole purpose of kungfu...if u study budhism/kung fu ...it teaches u that we are a spiritual being with a human body. Kung fu also teaches that humans are universally humans ..so when u say it belongs to asians u are going aginst everything these monks stand for and believe, if u ask them I am sure they would agree with me.

  • you're a dumbass, the whole foundation of buddhism (what the buddha taught) is that everything is transitory sorrowful and soulless. soulless, like not having a soul, so not being a spiritual entity. don't pretend to know what you're talking about

  • You obviously have read a few books on budhism thats it ,u have no real practical experience of budhism ..I can tell.

Go ask a budhist monk, a real budhist monk and he will tell you. Budhists believe that they have to look inward to overcome sorrow because we find our true indentity inside us which is soul or spirit. We aren't human beings with a spirit we are spiritual beings with a body. Overcome the senses and you will discover your true identity...you should try it not read about it .

  • amen

  • Traditional Chinese buddhism, which has its basis in ancestor worship is completely different from traditional Indian Buddhism, which has its basis in Hindu tenets. At its core, Buddhism is about enlightenment and transcending the material world. How this is achieved is completely up to the individual.

  • Chinese Buddhism takes what it feels necessary from Daoist philosophy and Indian Buddhism, combining those two into what is called Chan Buddhism, however there is no ancestor worship, that was discarded in China along with living in tents. In ancient times, the Chinese acknowledge they once lived like Mongols; in tents, believed in shamans and all that but they refer to that era as the "dark period."

  • This is completely ridiculous. The development of martial arts is purely happenstance. The uniqueness of Kungfu to Southern China is purely geographical have someone of another race born there and practice with them for their ENTIRE LIFE like the monks do and they will be as good as the monks. Guaranteed. Besides. Asians don't know Kung fu. Just Southern Chinese buddhist monks. "Asians" covers a lot of ground...

  • Actually, the uniqueness of Kung Fu stems from the fact that an Indian monk named Bodhidharma developed it. If a man is intelligent enough, it is possible, for them to use their imagination completely, to come up with something sound and scientific. Nicola Tesla developed his theory of alternating current, something we all rely on today, entirely in his head. Its not impossible, plus, Indian princes like Damo knew all about geometry and wrestling how the body behaved in a fight.

  • Tesla was so great because he used his own natural and spontaneous intuition and observed-comprehended-copied nature, tesla's alternating current generator is nothing compared to his anti-gravity vehicle, death ray, and or his greatest achievement his DTOG

    Namaste my enlightened friend

  • really? could sworn it was him saying "I learned how to make my imagination work with my knowledge; most people discard imagination, I kept mine." but, alright.

Imagination is the brain's power point dude, no need to over ellaborate something so complex yet simple.

  • Imagination and Intuition are like The Body and Maat-Spirit world, they are one in the same,

On a different note, My entire page is dedicated to teslas REAL work which is locked up under the national security department of defense act, in bits and pieces ofcourse which are parts of my own Divine Mission-Buddha-Christ's Mission. Besides curing all cancer-disease Im going to provide the world with the truest divine knowledge, the knowledge of Water and Electricity from Micro to Macro ndividualism

  • actually an indian monk didn't develop the System of Shaolin. He showed the monks some martial from his country, but that doesn't mean kung fu from other regions of china didn't exist. shaolin kungfu is a compilation system of many types of kung fu that FROM china that grew through the years.

  • Sorry, but that is recorded in the Shaolin Temple corporate headquarters historical archive. Yes that is correct they are incorporated; not only is what I said accurate, you can dig it up yourself.

Regarding the other Kung Fu styles existing in China, it was mostly armed combat, not unarmed, the one "Kung Fu" style that IS indigenous though is Shuia Jiao. Shuia Jiao is 100% Chinese.

  • I didn't say you weren't accurate, I am just saying that Shaolin Kung Fu came to be through incorporation as well. Just incase you thought this indian monk taught the shaolin everything they know today, which is obviously false lol.

  • Bodhidharma taught the monks all the unarmed combat, stances and meditative forms included, and the Indian short staff, however all other weapons skills the monks acquired from Chinese soldiers. Although largely more peaceful than the west, China still had its share of bloodletting, and there was no psychiatric care for PTSD back then, so the soldiers went to Buddhist temples to deal with their demons. While there, they taught the monks their weapons skills, that is how they acquired them.
