I have problems making the BGM the change for specific characters...

To the people that it didn't work for, sometimes u need to double check the coding itself. I was installing a song today that wasn't working. After going over it a few times, I noticed that the coding looked like this

;bgmusic = sound/etc.mp3

bgvolume = 255

The problem was the ; before the bgmusic. Make sure that there are no semicolons, there are underscores instead of spaces for in the song name, and u might even want to change the bgvolume to 0. When I did it, my song stopped skippin.

Hey it works... That's good that you pointed that out.... So, every time before I save I always make sure the bgvolume is at 0.

i think its in the CFG file...you open it with notepad and then find "BGM LOOP" or something similar and then you make it "= 1"

Yet another that doesn't work. Does it matter what the size of the mp3 is or what you have it set to open with? When I got to the screen it quits and says "Error Message: Error loading BGM: sound"

It does it for the stages that I added music to, the title screen, selection screen and vs screen.

The music files ARE .mp3s and they ARE in the sound folder. and here is what I typed in:

"title.bgm = sound/wakingthedeamon.mp3"

and wakingthedeamon IS the name used for the mp3. the mp3 plays in VGC

Where are you registering at buddy? the ffshrine doesn't need any registration to get their music. It's totally free, but the links are sort of hidden on their main page.
