  • How the hell did anything you said in this video answer the video title?

  • 3:19 Ask my Algebra Teacher...

  • Icy Box 390 is awesome!

  • JESUS man plaaaa leasssseeeee get to the product ok?

  • Anal Retentive: the ability to hold back explosive diarrhea for long periods of time.

  • I like the ones that integrate the power pack into the case. Much more portable as you don't have to carry around a power pack just use a standard 'kettle' or 'CD player' power lead. If you lose the power pack your f**ked since they all use different conxs. with integrated power pack ones you just pick up a 'kettle' lead from a hardware store or a 'CD player' lead from an audio/electrical store. OWithout PWR integration yuo have 2 go to the OEM.

  • Caution:

Nexstar 3 model NST-360 SU uses SunPlus SPIF215A chipset in usb-sata host bridge.

SPIF215A isn only compliant with SATA rev 1 (1.5 Gb/s) and should never have been used in an eSATA enclosure.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to meet the 3.0Gb/s standard of SATA rev 2 with this "eSATA" enclosure due to their shameful implementation of this chipset in their product.

    Make informed decisions.

  • Hi lockergnome, so is this case better than the ministack version 3. As recommended in one of your other videos. Cheers..

  • The quality of the enclosure i very good, easy to mount, but the power adaptor is garbage, keep it in mind

  • @vencisk whats bad about it?

  • do u stay in allday and see sun becoz your pile : S

  • im one of those people who leave everything default

  • NOOO

  • is Chris wearing an Ed Hardy shirt?

  • initt lol

  • yeah

  • The picture doesnt look very Ed Hardy-ish but the writing looks like it says Ed Hardy and how Ed Hardy writes it

  • do you recommend enclosures with a fan? does that it matter much?

  • As long as you get an aluminum enclosure that fits fairly snug around the hard drive, a fan isn't really needed. The enclosure will act like a heatsink for the hard drive. Never, never, never buy a plastic enclosure. Your hard drive will bake inside of it.

  • Thanks again chris!

  • is it for ide or sata harddrives

  • sata

  • i have this shit since 2 years different company but same use

  • Ok I have a nexstar 3 and it is not tool less there are 4 screws (#2) to hold the drive in the tray and 2 screws (#1) to hold the back on. And because they are different sizes you need 2 drivers. There is also the wire to connect the activity light which always gets caught.

I have mine for about 2 years and the USB connection no longer works only the e-Sata connection

  • ive had a nextar 3 for about 2 years..the 2.5" drive size..its great but I can't stand the Y cable..want something more compact

  • I recommend to buy a one with a fan expecially if u use it much. I had a hhd in a basic case and had problems with the cooling. Used it 24h thou.. Now I have a Antec case with a fan cooling it now and no problems. :)

  • Chris im sorry to tell that HDD's dont speak english.. :(

  • Binary!

  • Dude WTF Is your problem? Why would you say something like that?

  • ur a stupid faggot! Really mean!!! :(

  • yeah. he is anti-semetic. (Anti Jews)

  • hahhaahahahahahah

  • I have this enclosure! You need a screw driver chris you liar.

  • I don't know, maybe diminished?

    Possibly D808 or AR3000.

  • So I guess this beat the NewerTech MiniStack V.3 that you reviewed awhile ago???

  • if you don't know the difference between Firewire and USB you dont deserve to have an external HDD

  • or a pc lol

  • Does anybody ever see Criss replys to any off these comments ever???? I bought his tea and commented it was great

    Peace

  • Rarely. With all the videos he makes and view he gets, it's probably not possible to read more than a few comments.

  • I think the audio and video are out of sync. But great as usual!

  • it means to retain your Sh*t in your anal regions. the term that you used in its context was from Sigmund Freud with the psyco-sexual development theory which made him well know.

  • looks like a vhs tape

  • lol reminds me of the wii

  • ed hardy!!!!!!!!!!!

  • chris, how the hell are you using up all this space!? this has to be like 1.5 terabytes

  • ANAL

  • ANAL RETENTIVE

  • Anal Retentive = Sigmund Freud

  • so mainly a hard drive is memory holder and this will give u the option to add more memory

  • Analretentive and a guy in the chat writes: "u have to shove it all the way untill it goes" :P haha :D

  • You aren't alone Chris... I talk to hardware all the time.

  • I say Drobo

  • hey why did you fav my video? i was bashing you chris?

  • i own 3

  • yeah NexStar!!!

    way to go Pirillo

  • I bought a Rocketfish HD enclosure for about 20 dollars (a long time ago) since my laptop crashed. It works pretty well with or without plugging it into the wall. This one only supports USB and eSATA though.

  • I just need a ext drive enclosure: this one is simply perfect: going to buy.

    Thanks.

  • it would be a speech-oo

  • thanks for the tip chris

    i'm considering getting one now

  • As the old saying goes "if it don't fit, don't force it". :)

  • Haha, that's what she said!

  • why would ur hard drive not already have an enclosure?

  • its an internal hard drive. I need this for my laptop because it's broken and I could use this to use it on my desktop computer...

  • thanks for replying

but what hes talking about is just like the shell for a hard drive right? if so why would u ever take the hard drive out of its orignal shell? sorry if i sound crude but i just dont get this at all :(

  • he tells you why. he dosnt have room in his computer. it also makes it easier to transfer alot of data to other computers

  • ohhhh so when ur hard drive gets full u can just take it out and replace it with another hard drive for more space?

  • Yeah. Or if like me your laptop breaks you can take it out while it gets repaired and then use it with a different computer.

  • yes, but putting a new one in....is a little more complicated than it sounds...

  • That's so useful! I'm ordering one right away.

  • cool.
