That is not true, in fact he does not get the props due to the fact that he was not around the reggaeton era when it started in the 80's. General's trajectory started on the early 90's with "Lamen a los bomberos" , Llamo cllect a mi amiga Janette" and " Pum pum maimi, mami!" to mention a few. Now he is in fact to get props to explode the spanish reggae into central and south america. Althought, Vico-c (Luis Victor Padilla) was the founder of reggaeton back then mostly known as reggae rap.

That is not true, in fact he does not get the props due to the fact that he was not around the reggaeton era when it started in the 80's. General's trajectory started on the early 90's with "Lamen a los bomberos" , Llamo cllect a mi amiga Janette" and " Pum pum maimi, mami!" to mention a few. Now he is in fact to get props to explode the spanish reggae into central and south america. Althought, Vico-c (Luis Victor Padilla) was the founder of reggaeton back then mostly known as reggae rap.

reggae en español, now known as reggaeton is from Panama.. even vico c himself admitted it in an interview saying " bueno yo creci con esa música, con el reggae panameño desde chamaquito" btw respect to jamaican reggae singers without it, neither of us would known about this music

Some reggaeton songs sound more like reggae than reggaeton. Panama birth place of reggae in spanish and Puerto Rico birth place of reggaeton...If you love the old school reggae and reggaeton as much as i do, you will notice the difference.

The one that's rapping Pesos,is my brother and he's also wrote for Lisa M.
El General and Pesos hooked up in PR for the song,this video is 16-17 yrs old..1992-93..
El General, should get more props for making the waves opened for Spanish reggae,reggaeton is still Spanish music you dance to..and love..whether you agree or not..

this is not reggaeton, this is regge or spanish reggae. reggeaton came about in the mid to late '90 introduced by puerto ricans, but spanish reggea was born in the ghettos of panama in the '70s. the reason for this is that a lot of the panamanian population is decendent of the west indies, primarily jamiaca. so don't get spanish reggae and reggaeton mixed up, two totally different sounds... know your facts! big up panama, colon!
