There is no old spore. There is spore 2005,2006,2007, and 2008. The current spore is 2008. The spore people associate with being old spore is 2005. This is 2007. It looks a lot more like 2008 cell stage than 2005 tidepool phase.

I would love that as well. And if they Decide to release a Spore 2, They should try to make it as similar to the beta (of course with the technological feats of this or next year, But still staying true to th e beta build-style). I guarantee that if they are looking for money, they would surely get some, due to the regular spore fans of 2008-09, and the people who wanted the 2005-esque build all together.
No, the cell editor was far superior to the current version in the game, and the whole cell stage was just more "physical". Not to mention the sea stage and the advanced city editor which allowed you to create unique looking cities, and not have every city on the planet have the exact same buildings, which also forced you to place them in specific points.

Yeah, I agree completely that SecuROM isn't a great idea (I don't have Internet on the computer I want to install it on) but it doesn't mean other people shouldn't buy it. Aslo, the game was meant to be interactive and have other peoples' creatures etc. to be installed. So even if it didn't have SecuROM to prevent piracy I still couldn't have as great of a play.

I belive that there's a god up there (mainly because i actually saw my mum have an religous experience) but the bible was translated 7 times from the original hebrew version, therefor it has alot of stuff added and taken away, THATS why it's full of crap. Here's an idea for all the religious "this cannot be, noooo!" people and "this is totally true" people: God made us so we would evolve, as a bit of a science experiment to see what would happen, or maybe he just KNEW the outcome would be great. Oh, and another thing: I might make my Spore tribe, after long forgetting what the hell happened with the tidepool phase and such, to worship a God named Calafran, lord of the natural world, and then we'll find space travel. "There's MORE natural worlds?"

Yeah, I agree completely that SecuROM isn't a great idea (I don't have Internet on the computer I want to install it on) but it doesn't mean other people shouldn't buy it. Aslo, the game was meant to be interactive and have other peoples' creatures etc. to be installed. So even if it didn't have SecuROM to prevent piracy I still couldn't have as great of a play.

Wow, this is one hell of a theological debate sparked by an 18 second clip of video game footage!
I always thought Spore was like evolution in some ways, since you change your creature every generation, but more like intelligent design in the way that you design the creatures yourself and in ways so stupid they would never have evolved themselves anyway.
