  • Loved you as Lindus in "Ravenous" Bill. Lindus was so bitchy! I loved it.

  • love this friend friday Sam- I've been away, so I am catching up on all of your videos! A great way to spend a snowy afternoon... You and Bill have a passion for life and it shows!

  • Hi Sam,

I found your site by chance. Glad I did. Now, I'm hooked.

Every Sat. I watch your various weekly postings. It's like being invited out by a good friend to catch up. That's how personable you are.

Perry Pearl is hysterical. Is it me, or is he a mix of Auntie Mame/Jerry Lewis? I think I've found a new role model.

Just downloaded all of the episodes from THE CLASS.

Thanks for guiding me to Amazon's site.

    Thanks for sharing your world.

  • Sam, you said it so well about what makes great simgers great. Sincerity, and a true voice. Not a vocal acrobat. You've got to explain this to all these young cookie cutter pop idol singers who all sound like they are doing an impression of Aretha Franklin.

  • Oh, he doesn't even look the same as when on the show! (in a good way - younger too)

  • Sam, I have enjoyed all of your friends. They have their own special story(ies). I do take inspiration from each of them. It teaches me to appreciate each unique person which I think is one of your best qulaities.

  • Glad there are so many great comments about Bill. He is really an actor's actor. He loves his craft. He is always studying, working, exploring. The difference between one who calls themself an actor and one one who actually does it. He inspires me. Glad he inspires you too.

    love

Pretending to be different people - sounds fun.

  • There ya' go. What wonderful friends you share with us. Thank you for your curiosity and fervor for life. :)

  • Sam, The great singers that tell a story.Remember me suggesting you listen to Frankie Laine? Something of a storyteller. I'll try and send you a link to give a listen.

By the way, did you remove the glass and/or refinish those cabinets in the background? I mean I could say "Nana's Kitchen". But I won't.

    -Well big ol'smile.

    Steve

  • Those cabinets are hard to see on here. They are hand carved built into the wall in 1926, the year the house was built. And they're not in the kitchen. There is a door that has the same carvings and an original stained glass family crest from the owners. I guess in the 20's they were real "crafty."

  • I did some restoration on a 1926 home. Those cabinets look very similar to some I worked on-Is it possible they had glass panes at one time? I didn't feel much warmth in your reply-

    -Steve

  • Your vlogs are just so FaBuLous! Nice to meet you Bill! Now I'm no singer/actor just a wannabe, but I so related to what you were saying about how it's not so much the "oooomph" of the voice, it's the delivery, the connection, the communication between you and your audience, that profound interaction making for a powerful experience, the euphoria of it all that keeps us coming back.. it's like magic YES!

  • great video...you have such a interesting life...and i'm so thankful that you are here to share it with us. thank you so very much. i just loveyou sam ! ! !

  • Okay, don't get a big head you two but you both look good. :)

I remember him from NYPD and I have to say I thought he was really good in his role.

Nice to see you have such a animated discussion on a topic you have in common. I have never gone to see live theater, but I would like to sometime.

    Thank you Sam.

  • IA Guy

Get your tuchis to the theatre!! There is nothing like it.

Thanks for your words. Yes, spirited conversation between equally passionate people is always fun.

  • love Bill, love you. you make people so comfortable. I always feel like you are so genuine and easy and anyone could talk to you. And you are comfortable around everyone. And Bill is great. I love that he does plays all the time and is always trying to grow and learn. An actor acts! Refreshing.

  • Very nice visit with Bill.About "the stuff".This applies to all of us, all walks of life. I am infinitely curious. To continue to be curious, one must remain open. Then as our awareness expands, we grow compassion, we flourish. I love seeing that in you , Sam.

  • Hey Sam, I love your Friend Friday blogs, and Bill is adorable, but I have to ask you who did your cabinets in the back ground! LOL They are awesome!!

  • wendy

Ready above - they are original to the house built in 1926.

    S

  • They are fabulous!! Are they copper on the inset? So cool!! BTW, I'm Todd's friend who you met at Birdland this past December. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen the two of you do, btw! Keep doing what you do - you are an amazing man, and you bring so much joy to so many people. I wish only the absolute best for you.

  • Bill is loverly.

  • Sam... Loved the blog. I have to say I'm not familiar with this actor but I've never seen NYPD Blue, so maybe that's why. He's adorable. Also, I'm confused as to why it says #18. I'm showing 20 Friend Fridays. Gosh, I always seem to be confused. Love you, Sam!

  • Judi74, easier to follow if you go to the main page of SamTUBE.com_ and look for the Friend Friday playlist. There are 19 videos, one of them in two parts. You can subscribe specifically to the Friend Friday series as well. Good luck.

  • he's so inspiring! DO SOMETHING WONDERFUL!!

  • Nice conversation.....another great vlog .

  • You know what is so great about your vlogs? Not only YOU Sam,but we get to meet actors and all entertainers that we would NEVER EVER get to meet let alone listen to their conversations and feel a "part" of it. When we watch actors in the movies we wonder "what are they like"? You give us a window on their person. This is so wonderful you are indeed the king of all vlogs. No-one can do it better. It is so appreciated and enjoyed. Thank you.

  • " a window to their person". what a wonderful phrase, mari ana. i like that!- vicki

  • mosey

I am glad you feel that these vlogs give more insight to people than the "hocking the product" stuff I know I get tired of on TV. I think that's why so many actors hate doing talk shows - cause they don't get to be themselves. There is so no pressure on the vlogs that people can really open up and laugh and be themselves and share ideas, etc. thanks for noticing.

    S

  • sam, such a lovely and informative conversation. "stay curious". such a simple phrase, but oh so true. and... it's not just the singing voice, but it's also the storytelling and feeling one puts behind it.. you have both, and that is what makes you so incredible when you perform. so glad you still have time for your "friend get-togethers" throughout this busy time in your life. thank you for sharing. much love.- vicki

  • What a kind soul Bill seems to be. I so enjoyed just listening to him. I adored him as John. Thanks Sam!!!!

  • It's John!! I loved his character! It was a great foil against the gruffness of the shows

situations as well as the officers. I'm so glad he's doing well and working non stop!!! Great Friday Sam :-)

  • Oh my gosh! I was the first person to see this video! WOOHOO!
