Actually what you are talking about is called United States Executive Order 9066. It was not only Americans with Japanese ancestry sent to internment camps but also Americans with German and Italian ancestry. In 1988 President Ronald Reagan signed The Civil Liberties Act of 1988 to apologize on behalf of the United States for the internment of such citizens and permanent resident aliens and discourage the occurrence of similar injustices and violations of civil liberties in the future.
In 2000, the Census Bureau's then director, Kenneth Prewitt, issued a formal apology when it emerged that the agency had provided statistical data that was used by president Franklin Roosevelt to round up Americans of Japanese ancestry for internment during WWII.
I bet you didn't know that. Did you ? Of course not. It is not taught in school or told to you by the state run main stream media. Just hope your race isn't the one to be rounded up next time.
