They replaced The Aether(sky world) with The End, which is another version of Hell or something. It's really stupid, because we already have the Nether and there's no need for two hells. -_-

For me, the most annoying thing in 1.0 is the wooden double doors being connected... I right click the right door and the left door opens, and it's just blah. It messed up the animal doors I had :S Oh well, I just switched to fence gates, 'cause it was a fenced in area anyways.

There is a bukkit 1.0.0 and when you load it, it creats a new skyworld folder.

No clue if its working and how to get there, but its there...

And bukktit 1.0.0 - google is your friend man. A guy wrote the old one to match with 1.0.0. It doesn´t work with all the plugins, but you can still play on the server and enjoy all the new features like killing baby animals ^^

Notch decided not to do the skyworld because of the mod the Aether (at the time). He might still do it later on. Well jeb might if he has taken over it.

And also if you like texture packs like minecraft you should look into *minecraft Enhanced* texture pack 256bit - its like minecraft in HD :)
