  • I live in seymour,Indiana and I went to our national guard armory and saw BRUISER and his son-in-law Spike Huber VS. BO BO and Paul CHRISTIE.This was in the Mid 70's.It was great

  • Bob Luce sure knows how to ruin an otherwise amazing footage.

  • Bob needs to have a big cup of STFU!

  • glad to know my grandpa still has fans I'm working on a video for my mother if you have any footage of Bobo Brazil let me know masitif@yahoo.com

  • @WWJones3 - I went to school with a girl who claimed Bobo was her grandfather

  • glad to know my grandpa still has fans

  • @gingerstoy Yup,,, no shit.

  • my grandpa fist faught Dick the Bruiser at a bar in Detroit

  • Bobo Brazil was 'bout it with that coco but.

  • juhkiho

  • does anyone have the tape of Don Muraco eating his lunch in the ring versus some jobber that they can post? One of the great moments in wrestling history

  • Dick The Bruiser.......hurts just by saying it (No oun intended lol)

  • Bobo brazil is Brazillian???

  • Great vid, but Eddie was about as much a multi-millionaire as I am lol:)

  • having grown up in Chicago, Bob Luce was DA MAN and Sam Menecker was his trusty sidekick announcer. if you were a wrestling fan, the 2 went hand in hand.

  • Good ole Bob Luce =D

  • The Sheik was from Detroit and Bo Bo Brazil was from Benton Harbor Michigan

  • COCO BUTT!!

  • I was at this match in Chi town in 74 went back stage to get an autograqph and heenan was on his knees performing a bj on dick the bruisier I was only 8 and mortified!

  • @SUREFACE70 Thanks.

  • I saw these guys in the early 60s at the South Lyons highschool west of Detroit.

  • Bob Luce must have drank. No one in the business can sell like Pretty Boy Bobby Heenan!!! I grew up on this Chicago wrestling was great....

  • It was Sailor Art Thomas, not Seaman Thomas...lousy announcer. Nice cameo of Pampero Firpo getting flamed by the Shiek...

  • Actually it was both. Thomas was variously called "Seaman" or "Sailor" Art Thomas depending what promotion he was in. He was legit former Navy.

  • Thanks, Lfdjake. I was not aware of that. I guess you only saw the local promotions back in the day.

  • I think they phased out "Seaman" because it sounded too much like "semen". Not good to have the boys thinking you're being called "sperm"

  • Holy shit fuckin' dam! that Stdaium is all

but empty on the field. What was B thinkin?

At least AWA and NWA field that place up

in the 70's& '80's.The match here looks

like it should v'e been in a studio.

  • The front row seats were actually in the stands for this card. The fans were pissed off because of it. The seats around ringside are for special patrons only, like the realitives.

  • Hahaha listen to the commentary!!

  • a agree stugazza

  • I went to most of the Comiskey Park extravaganzas in the early 70's. Luce called them the Super Bowl(s) of Wrestling. They were the precursers of the pay per view events. I never saw this one. It must have been in the fall of 1974 right after I left home to go to college in Champaign.

  • i wonder when jack's pacific is going to do his figure?

  • BoBo Brazil was the man! Who could ever forget the coco butt! That dude who was on the receiving end of that was seeing stars for days!

  • BOBO WAS BLACK!!!??????

  • Not the best wrestler but ONLY the best "black" wrestler lol

  • Man i remember this intro video. It was on an old NWA video. Play the whole thing dammit!

  • i just wonder if any of you guys ever heard Gorilla Monsoon.... He WAS THE BEST commentator EVER!!!

  • Oh yeah, I think I've heard of that guy!

  • Monsoon was also the best big man ever. He was agile, had great stamina and a vast knowledge of wrestling since he was NCAA Champion. Greatest big man ever

  • Bob Luce had some great, classic wrestling footage, but he was without a doubt the worst commentator of all time. He was more of a carnival barker then anyone Vince has put in the broadcast booth in the last 20 years. He talks alot but he says nothing. Luce's commentary is the reason they created the mute button.

  • that is THE most annoying commentator EVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • better then any current announcer right now.

  • hey man if u call commentators like micheal cole and todd grisham losers than i agree with u but jim ross, jerry lawler, and tazz are NOT losers

  • Comment removed

  • yeh, I noticed that comment by Bob Luce about Bobo being the best "black" wrestler. But, to be fair, he meant it as a compliment and such a comment wouldn't be unusual for someone of his generation.

  • It's not unusual now. Obama and his supporters constantly remind us what a great black candidate and black President Obama is.

  • my grandma babysitted for dick the bruiser when he was in delphi indiana

  • Dick the Bruiser and Bobo Brazil were the best.

  • awesome slo mo

  • Does anyone remember the Bruiser vs Raoul Romero fight at the OLYMPIA?

  • i remember watching bobo in the late 70's early 80's when i was 5-5 years old..ill never forget the 'king of the coco butt'

  • get your stuff at one stop...the only place to shop ----one stop!

  • Great match at Comiskey here. Wish I had seen it live.

  • Right on fellow chicago fan! I miss Luce and Ben's commericals. Those were the days!

  • I saw Dick the Bruiser and the Crusher whip Pretty Boy Henning and Handsome Harley race at the Coliseum in Chicago in 1965...

Great stuff! Dick the Bruiser was King!

  • that was "Pretty Boy" Bobby Heenan

  • Yes, you're right!

  • I hope there wasnt anyone worse then Bob Luce. Sure would hate to have to listen to him.

  • Dick the Bruiser rules!

  • Does anybody else remember when Cowboy Bob Ellis defeated Dick the Bruiser on television in 1959 in Windsor. The Bruiser had been defeating wrestler after wrestler weee after week until Ellis beat him in 2 out of 3 falls on tv. However, in two rematches at the Olympia Stadium in Detroit the Bruiser defeated Ellis by throwing him over the third rope when Ellis jumped up a little trying to apply his finishing move, the bulldog headlock. Great matches!

  • Fantastic vintage photage complete with Eddie "The Brain" Creatchman. I am very

impressed that material like this is still

out there. We need a nmatch like this on Wrestlemania Sunday.

  • Bad editing on this classic. At 8:56 - look closely - Sheik throws fire that hits Bobo.

  • lolz at the music

    i loved that match

  • I think Bobo got pined in this match. Luce lost track of it! LOL

  • 5:04 Macho Man Randy Savage as a youngster...pretty cool

  • you blood beast

  • I think this was at the hammond civic center!! If you see a young kid wiping up blood with his program..that was me

  • This was outside at baseball stadium

  • That brings back memories of watchinng wrestling from Indianapolis on Saturday afternoons

  • I used to live across the street from Bob Luce, the wrestling promoter in Chicago. He was a complete dick! His wife was very sweet.

  • This announcer is the most annoying mc in the history of the English language.

  • Now I see why they have two commentators nowadays LOL. Talk about stallin for time.

  • tonice

  • The Sheik eating blood oh my!

  • man, shit was raw back then

  • Nice old footage here. Good video. Thanks.

  • I saw Dick the Bruiser wrestle Johnny Valentine at the Internaional Amphitheatre in Chicago bakc in the Mid 60's. What a Bloodbath!!! A woman fainted after she looked down at the ring and saw all the blood. At the time, Bruiser's signature move was the 'Throat Stomp'. Anyone out there remember

  • Remember when Pepper Gomez told the Bruiser that he could do anything he wanted to his stomach and he could take it. The Bruiser brought out a ladder and after several trips up and down the ladder, carefully aligning Pepper and adjusting the ladder, the Bruiser came off of the top rung onto (you guessed it) Pepper's throat. A classic.

  • remember when pepper gomez had someone drive a vw on to his belly?

  • I do remember that. It's a gimmick he apparently did several times. I saw it on Bob Luce's wrestling program on Channel 44 in Chicago. And, in one tag match some wrestler rammed Heenan's head into Pepper's belly and Heenan sold it like being rammed into a steel post.

  • The same thing happened to Gomez here in Australia back in the 60's.I can't remember who jumped on him, but he got him a beauty !

  • I watched Dick the Bruiser on Wrestling at the Chase in St. Louis . A really big show

  • Shiek is now in the 2007 wwe hall of fame. Congratulations to him. RIP Shiek.

  • rip shiek dick da bruiser and bobo brazil you all gave me many great memories

  • I need a Moose Cholak doing a Candor Electric commerical fix-RIGHT NOW!

  • I was in the "Golden" Moose Cholak fan club and the the T-shirt that advertised Moose on one side and Candor Electric on the other. It also came with a gold membership card.

  • Bob Luce just passed away. RIP Bob.

  • 5858 Western Ave. for the Ben's Auto Sales hot buy of the week. And don't forget BoBo Brazil shopping at One Stop Food & Liquors where he buys his ribs by the 30 pound case.

  • WOW WHAT A RACIST U R

  • Does anyone know where to find more matches for the Shiek?

  • I'll be posting some Sheik stuff in the near future. Some classic stuff from Japan and from his Detroit territory.

  • Vintage Clip is great - Voiceover announcer os not~

  • Talk about your Action! I grew up with the Great AWA cards and this sure brings back the memories of the Great Bobby Heenan, The Crusher, Dr X, Dick the Bruiser, Mad Dog and Butcher Vachone, Verne Gagne, Bed Bastien, Pepper Gomez. This was an era when Wrestling was Wrestling and the fans loved to hate the villans.

  • in indiana, i grew up watching dick the bruiser, pepper gomez, wilber snyder, bobo, the valiant brothers with bobby heenen as the manager. wow!! thanx for the clip.

  • Dick the Bruiser rules!

  • anybody got any moose cholock?

  • Sheik was great, but Abdullah the Butcher is the King of Hardcore.

  • come check out my classic Abdullah the Butcher stuff

  • Just to let you know... I recently saw Abdullah's shoot video... and he stated that he owes his crazy persona and love of blood spilling from the Sheik. I'm a big fan of the Butcher's myself but the Sheik is the king of hardcore, nobody comes close, not even Abby.

  • Wasn't that song playing during the "Sandman throwing fire" segment the theme song of USWA's weekly TV show?

  • Hi all....if your looking for more Sheik stuff, I've been able to upload some classic stuff. Check it out.

  • Hey if you have more Shiek stuff PLZ post it thank you.

  • Great stuff!!!!

  • All we need is a Ben's Auto Sales commercial and we're all set! Thx for the memories.

  • I would love to see Wild bull curry and the sheik tagging against bobo and Hans Herman

  • Bob Luce would always do a "Hold of the Week" in which the bad guy would stretch some hapless cameraman. My fave memory was Jimmy Valiant bashing the head of Moose Cholak during a weightlifting contest.

  • oh man, i remember watching this shit on our little black and white set in the kitchen when i was small. saturday afternoons on channel 44 or something, and then there'd always be a godzilla movie on afterwards.

  • I wish you guys could've seen the skit with Mark Manson taking control of aunt marie Laveau's Voodoo Cane... funnier than fucking SNL...

  • hey thanks for posting this classic old school stuff.

The Sheik was the king of hardcore. Nobody like him.

  • I believe this was from Bruiser's WWA promotion. Need some more WWA matches on YouTube...like the match where Steiner beat Wojciechowski for the WWA World title.

  • Bob Luce always cracks me up. It sounds like he's on Ritalin or something. :)

It was cool to briefly see Randy Savage as a teenager taking photos during the match.

  • It's great seeing this. Sheik and Heenan were a strange combination. R.I.P. Dick, Bobo and Sheik.

Thank you very much for posting this.

  • absolutely great stuff... I wish I could find more stuff like this...i love the sheik... thanks supa..

  • I've been searching. No luck so far . :(

  • glad you guys like it. I'm trying to find more just like it.

  • Thanks for posting this Supahip

  • Bobby Heenan said several times that Dick The Bruiser was the toughest wrestler he ever faced

  • nice match, classic

  • You'll never get another copy of this. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

    Thanks.

  • And they cut out how the match came to an end, looked like they skipped the finish.

  • Oh, by the way..the actual match doesn't start until 2:44 into the video.

  • sweeeeet! old school blood baths rule!

  • man they really broke kayfabe at the end when bobo and creechman followed each other into the same locker room!
