It's nice to read good comments on these guys! Nobody is like them and all the Anticon crew! Sole, boombip, doseone, jel, alias, why, and my fav oddnosdam! Hope you guys keep collaborating with each other!!!
It makes perfect sense for the mainstream media to label this flagged and make it even harder for the masses to obtain this music. They would rather cram a bunch of sell out, jewel shining, self concerned shmucks through our ears that have no real message to spread as opposed to helping underground Hip Hop artists flourish like the overly wealthy sample swapping chumps that fill the radio
Thank you, cLOUDDEAD, for abandoning the norm and presenting those who care with such a fantastic alternative to the ever-shittier music that plagues the popular channels.
They derive their lyrics from everyday life, and the feelings they experience in doing so, which, in my opinion, is much "smarter" than pining over the lyrics to a new song trying to write words that will relate to the mainstream. cLOUDDEAD has my utmost respect for playing music because its what they love, and they do it the way they want. They are highly experimental, even though "experimental" implies that they are testing some limit (see: Squarepusher).
You say "admitted" as if he's doing something wrong. Seriously, where's the problem there? What is it that makes music "intelligent?" Big vocabulary words? Math equations? Obscure historical references? One of the reasons I love cLOUDDEAD so much is because they can recite any bad poetry with an over some really kick-ass music and make it sound damn good.
hm... ima be honest, this is different, i dled like 4 of there songs and i cant decifer whether i like it or not, Its almost too alternative for me, its definately different.
yeah maybe that's truth. u can call it decadence.. but for me it is really interesting to explore they lyrics to understand what they r tryin to say. Though at the moment i understood not big part of theyr lyrics, but i can tell that they r really intellectual and smart guys.
the first 3 minutes is jimmy breeze - it's just 2 different parts of the same song.
this is the way that cLOUDDEAD releases work, they released their first 'album' tracks in 6 separate vinyl releases. the first 3 minutes come from the release called "jimmybreeze" all tracks on the release are somewhat untitled. the remainder comes from the final of the vinyls called 'bike'
JimmyBreeze 1 & 2 is also on the cLOUDDEAD self-titled CD.. The next track is Dead Dogs, which I've only seen 'Dead Dogs two' on the 'ten' album. I don't know where the the first Dead Dogs track is..
that music is from the nes game Goonies 2.

doesn't make sense for this to be flagged.
no profanity, very substantive, thought-provoking, creative hip-hop.
parents would be better-off letting their children listen to this than 90% of what comes on the radio.

Yoni's humping the keyboard and Adam's letting the music move through his veins.
They are truly the most beautiful duo to watch.

Yeah. Why is this labeled "may not be suitable for minors." This is the kind of hip-hop parents would want their kids to listen too!

You'd think so.
