  • this song is on gta IV

  • @AvatarMilenium like many other great songs. that's partially why I love the game :D

  • Great song! E.L.O. forever!!!

  • I remember seeing this in 1976 or 7 on a programme called "Jukebox", hosted by Twiggy. Interesting mix of playback/overdubs. yeah

  • I love Jeff's hair!

  • Jeff looks so cute!!!

  • Man you haven't lived 'til you experience a few.

  • The days of the blue violin.

  • he sounds like bob dylan in this video

  • Looks like a Spinal Tap moment.

  • oh i love ELO its soo fun

  • My favorite "mom" story. This song came out right around the time the move "The Exorcist" was still playing. My mom, a very religious woman, was convinced this was on the soundtrack and forbade it as Satanic music because it had the lyric "evil woman" in it (true story). Of course a couple of years later I was a teen and realized that far from being satan's henchman, Jeff Lynne was, in fact, touched by the finger of God himself and blessed with amazing musicianship.

  • Look at 2:12. Jeff Lynne is breaking up laughing when he sees what the fog is doing.

  • Another fine example of what music should be. Simply brilliant. And I can't seem to get enough of Jeff laughing at poor Hughie getting enveloped by the fog. Long live the best band ever.

  • Sure wish they could played the whole song, it irratates me when they do that, however this is an excellent hit!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx for sharing this!!!!

  • There is an instrumetal part before Jeff Lyne says "you made a fool of me..." and the single does not have where he starts to say "You've made a fool of me..." and the part with the girl voice is not as long before that back ward string instruement part comes on.

  • My wife is some EEEEVIL Woman! wil not trade her for the world lol xxx. Thanks for postin this track takes me back .

  • Oh Yeah! Thank for this video with a very good sound! I love ELO! There was The Beatles and then there was ELO!!

  • Where is that Nightrider backwards string part ? Its left out for some reason. that's the best part of the song !

  • Jeff looks a bit like Yes bassist Chris Squire in this clip. Interesting that Richard is miming the acoustic piano on a Wurlitzer electric piano and the Clavinet part on a Mini-Moog.

I feel sorry for Kelly in this clip. He's hidden in the background. You almost can't see him in most of the clip.

  • You can see Bev smirking and kind of egging Jeff on while he's singing. Leading to Jeff finally breaking out in laughter at Hugh. Looks like they had a good time tho, except for Hugh. =D

  • thank you girl...i haven't seen it before

  • you're welcome rizo. Glad I could spot it and point it out. I said Bev does a lot of gestures, but I meant to say, he does a little bit of gestures in other videos.

    :)

  • Hugh Mc Dowell lost in the fog, ahahahah

    amazing ELO,i love this band.

  • Great! What happened to your sunglasses Jeff.

  • And Richard Tandy's piano solo is also live!

  • This track and vocals are on tape, Jeff Lynne is apparently singing along live!

  • did the chellomans missus do that, what an evil woman =P

  • i love that lynne sees the cellist get fog-bombed and laughs a little but keeps on going.

  • that is funny about the fog machine

  • lol jeff looks like susan sarrandon

  • the drummer looks like the one out of the move with roy wood. I think they were friends or former members great song love lynn

  • That's because the drummer IS the one from The Move, mate ;-)

  • Jes, Bev Bevan war's the drummer from Move and with Jeff and Roy former member of ELO ;)

  • evil woman ! evil dry ice man. poor cellist.and he kept on playing .ha ha ha .obviously he was hot ha ha .

  • At he first he was like.. :|

but then at 2:22 he was like :D

  • it's funny how he is playing "piano" on a rhodes keyboard. haha. yes i know - they all sang with tracks on those shows back then. it's just funny.

  • They are all laughing their asses off about the malfunctioning fog machine. Especially, Jeff. They handled it quite well, LMFAO!!!!

  • Zany cellist Hugh McDowell(on right) was covered by the fog machine the entire time!

  • Jeff Lynne busts out laughing at 2:22.

  • I was really hooked on ELO from the '70s to "Xanadu"('80s). I think I remember watching this show latenight- a British music show that was on Saturday nights late. They were also on the "Midnight Special" a few times.

  • is that cowbell?

  • that smoke machine is funny and jeff lynne must think so to as he laugh's . haha

  • fucking brilliant tunage

  • Does anyone else think Jeff looks like the actor

    Colin Firth?

  • Jeff Lynne with NO GLASSES?! I think my mind got blown.

  • sensacional giva

  • Thank you for fixing the sync and doing ELO justice!

  • One word. FABULOUS!!!!!

  • they were thought to be the continuum of the beatles had they lasted through the 70's

  • ELO was certainly great!! The orchestration of the band was incredible. Really funny what happened with the smoke machine and Hugh being a true professional just kept on playing.Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan are laughing at the out of control smoke machine!!!

With a talented bunch of musicians,no wonder they were called THE ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA. One of rock's true and great bands.

  • OMG 1:21 and 2:17 is hilariousss..Lollllll :) great song though....

  • This song makes ya smile especially if you were teeny boppin back then....I think this was some of the best memories

  • Amen. This was the song that made me an ELO lifetime member at the age of 17. 32 years later, I can vividly remember my '71 Montego and a beautiful blonde next to me. OK, so she's my ex now. lol She's still sexy and I still love ELO!!

  • Well, I was only 7 in '75, but I was totally turned onto the ELO sound!!

  • I also have fond memories of ELO, blasting from the huge speakers in my Catalina convertible, with a hottie next to me. Love Jeff Lynn's voice.

  • HQ!! i love you!!!

  • At 2:17 I think the lead singer notices how silly that smoke machine is and starts to crack up.

  • 1:21 through 27 I wonder if that guy knew where he was sitting prior to the performance? Hella smoke machine! That Rocks!

  • love this song !!!

  • Hilarious! Poor Hugh and all that fog dumping down on him. Wrong place, right time. I love that he continues playing like he doesn't even notice, even with the rest of the guys busting up, laughing at it. Now THAT'S professionalism and dedication! hehe

  • Yes! Finally, the performance I wanted to see in sync!

  • Thanks for post in sync!!! I love this so much!

  • thank you!

  • very good! love this song

  • Well done... great quality!
